I should have completed this review on Friday November 21st... The day of my service... I walked into the Richardson location and Eddie was awesome from the very start!. Brakes Plus was very honest to me about what they could and could not do with regards to my car repair. I appreciate the fact Eddie they knew their limits and didn't try to fix my car beyond their expertise... UnLike some of those other garages out there who just want to take your money and don't have the technical or experience to resolve the problem! Customer service is great until you disagree with what their recommendation is. I understand their job is to upsell and provide guidance, but if I’m walking in asking for my brake pads,to be replaced and nothing else that’s what I expect the outcome to be. I’m more than happy to hear what their advice is, but if I disagree with it, I don’t think it’s ok to receive a different kind of treatment, unfortunately that was the case. Had to take my car elsewhere

Great customer service and I will definitely come back to get my car serviced again for the next round of maintenance. Lori was very helpful and I really enjoyed interacting with her, she was very personable. Also, the tech that worked on my car was Donovan and he did a great job on my vehicle. For context, the maintenance received was a brake fluid flush, coolant flush, alignment and rear struts, which didn’t cost anymore than $1K (I had coupons).

I recently went to Brakes Plus off of Central Expy, Dallas, TX, to have my brakes changed, and the experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. While I was there, the techs attempted to perform an oil change but didn’t have the proper tool to complete it. Unfortunately, when I got my car back, things went from bad to worse. Not only did they fail to replace the brake sensor, but they also forgot to put the oil cap back on and left a rag sitting in the engine bay. I noticed something was wrong immediately — both my brake light and check engine light came on right after I left. I called and spoke to the manager, Jonah, who assured me they’d make it right and arranged for the car to be towed. They did end up replacing the brake sensor, but they never cleaned the oil that had spilled all over the front and sides of my vehicle. There was no apology, no car wash, and certainly no real effort to fix the mess they made. All it would have taken was a sincere apology and a basic car wash to show they cared, but instead I was left feeling like just another sucker who got one pulled over on them. Brakes Plus failed to deliver on even the bare minimum of professionalism or accountability. I will not be returning, and I suggest others think twice before trusting their vehicle to this shop. EDIT/UPDATE: Brakes Plus called me and said they will give me $90 if I remove this review. No thanks! It cost me more than 3x that to get the issues you caused cleaned up.

We had an exceptional experience here. Appreciated being able to make an appointment online and the available coupons they had available. When we arrived Lori greeted us and was extremely kind and helpful. We weren't pushed with any aggressive up selling or services we didn't need. Just general recommendations within the quote but there was no guilt in choosing the economic option. We got to sit back, have a cup of coffee and get our service the same day as the inspection appointment.
