I had this one gentleman told me go to Buy-Wise Auto Place off of Grant Street I didn't quite find it at first but when I did people were nice and the prices were right however I think that they should have a website for everyone not just for people that have an account with them cuz I'm one of the ones that like to shop around and if somebody tells me to go to a certain place and they give me a good price they got me

I called Buy Wise to see if i could get 2 steel rims for my jeep Liberty. I told the sales rep what i needed and he hung up on me. I tried again thinking maybe i got disconnected and he hung up on me again. I guess if what you are looking for is not worth their while they dont even want to talk to you. Thats no way to do business. I would think the sales rep would at the very least just say "we dont have what you are looking for"

Staff is very friendly and willing to explain anything to you you will not be rushed or given the wrong part only down side some times they don't have the part on hand and have to wait 24hr but it's reasonable

Worst place to buy control arms, 1yes warranty, control arm went bad in 7 months didnt have time to bring it in into it was passed that time but called them to let them know before hand. Whichvatbthe time there was a back order on control arm so I ordered new one from prostock which has had no issues.

I have been going to Buywise auto parts for a very long time I went in there for a part not sure what the name was my mechanic gave it to me some sort of actuator or valve , I went to the counterman on the left I didn’t catch his name and handed him my old part but after 5 minutes of trying to find the part he kind of commented we don’t stock it, he and the other counterman next to him started googling the part for pictures online these countermen seem new in there, but another counterman was walking past them and seen my old part and said we have that its like $56 he tried to show them where to look it up but them seem lost so he took over their computer and looked it up and showed them, all in all it was the correct part and in stock for $59.99 this counterman been at Buywise auto for a long time when I go in there he’s always there but not in retail side I assume he’s the first counterman on the right it’s great to see some of these older guys still at Buywise and actually know how to find parts up by just looking at the old part I didn’t catch his name but I think they said it was Ron or Ronnie, I wanted to thank him but he seemed to busy on the phone calls, got my vehicle is up and running fine now!.

The employees and the branch manager are also liars, dishonest, and have no trust, so deal with them carefully, and this is my problem. That on Tuesday, February 21, 12:30 in the afternoon, I went to the Jersey City branch to retrieve an auto part that I did not need, I had bought it on February 14 and asked to return it, and when I entered the branch in Jersey City, I was greeted by two front office employees sitting in the far left, and after half an hour they said we can't get it back and we have to go back to the manager and when they came back from the manager they said: you have to go to the Union New Jersey branch to get the $36 back only, and when I came to the Union branch they said you could have got it back in Jersey City, so why did they make you come this long distance under the pretext of the difference in stock, and this is not true and unacceptable,

Worst customer service in the world I call to order a injector for car yesterday the dude on phone was nice. Today I come after work to pick it up I was literally circling the area because the person on the phone goes "I don't know what your around but we in bishop street" and hangs up. I'm asking him where the entrance is and it's a totally different block I get to bishop street need to stop and ask 4 different people about the auto parts place because they don't know. Cmon man I'm not gonna have a car for another weekend and I need to drive to work in CT. Just because u don't wanna deal with a customer at 4:45 by th3 time I figured it out everyone leaving and screaming "we closed!" Very arrogant. I wouldn't deal with them if the part was free at this point. The guys doesn't say "our address is here but the gate is open on a whole other block and the building doesn't say car parts or it's next to the mental hospital across the street...... be A LITTLE HELPFUL ????? THIS place is def NOT CHEAP the price is the same at every autoparts store that's open till 9pm

Place is like a cheat code in the Matrix when it comes to car part acquisition. It is a hidden gem in Jersey City. I had to source a part very quickly for a vehicle and had no luck anywhere else. Buy Wise had the part at a great price with excellent customer service. I will advise everyone to check Buy Wise for their automotive part needs moving forward.

Hadn't done business with these guys in a few years. I called Buy-Wise two days ago to see if they stocked a window regulator I needed. Was told they had it and obtained a price. Dropped by the next day for the part and a decent counter rep shared that the part wasn't there because I had probably reached their Union store. Regardless, if I came back in a couple of hours they could have it shipped over. I did this and when I arrived the decent rep was busy with a customer so I went to be served by another rep. I shared with this guy that I had previously been working with his colleague (who was right next to him) and the part I was looking for. This guy starts looking up the part but gets on the phone and launches into a five minute conversation (literally) with someone in Spanish and it certainly had nothing to do with looking for my part. Now I don't speak Spanish, but I do know a thing or two about customer service. I've managed major call centers for Allstate and GEICO insurance companies, was a major account executive at Proctor and Gamble, and recently retired from Comcast after a very successful advertising career. Not to mention I was chief-of-staff to my councilman here in Jersey City as well. All of these positions required decent interpersonal skills. Seeing that this guy was CLEARLY putting my concern to the side, I politely apologized for interrupting his call to share that I just wanted him to let me know if the part came in or not. Obviously upset, this guy tells me I have to wait because he's handling something else and then told me I had the option of going back to the original guy I was working with. Bottom line, This guy was supposed to finish assisting me before taking on any other project and if it was an emergency, at least try and explain it to me. Frankly, he was just simply rude and being a jerk and as someone who has been fortunate enough to live to see the age of 71 years old, I know a jerk when I interact with one. I intend to bring my concern to Buy-Wise's senior management because I'm a big believer in giving reviews, both good and bad, so they can know who to commend and who needs corrective action. Given I don't know of the inconsiderate rep, I'm just going to post his photo. BTW, the really decent rep who I initially worked with and ultimately got the part from, did a laudable job. He deserves a raise. UPDATE! My initial review was (1) star but after speaking with Ron, the GM, I feel better about doing business with this outfit. I will revise my rating now.

Today I stopped at Buy wise Jersey City and had the worst customer service experience. For many years I have been loyal to them due the good prices and parts qualities but today while I was in line no one call next and after 10 minutes waiting finally I was called by Steven that right at the center computer and to start the part search I described my vehicle and told beside that also he asked for the bin # I provided and after he identified the part and gave me the price that to me was a little bit high and I asked if for any chance he had something chipper and he answer was if I don’t want it then I have to go to another place to get it. And he never tried to convince me about to get my part at buy wise. He was arrogant and so unprofessional. Please if you are planning to buy any part there try to slide him if you don’t want the same bad experience.
