Quality work done good and fast, and good fast work isn't cheap. Don't complain, if you can fix it yourself, do it! But I'll bet you'll come here when you blew it and need a mechanic. Best part is, you don't have to come back for the same problem, unless you misadvised him.

I have known Jack for close to 30 years. My first interaction was due to the work that a highly recommended Triple A shop preformed on my 1978 Mercury zephyr station wagon . They attempted to completely rebuild my small block 302ci engine. When I got the back from them it was a disaster I had oil leaks from the rear main seal, as well as the oil pan. and on top of that they painted my engine green. they told me to drive it for a while to let the seals swell up, Yeah OK sure. They literally insulted my intelligence. Long story short I filed a complaint with the BAR and took them to small claims court and won ALL my money back. Jack quoted me less then they did to do a LONG BLOCK complete rebuild. almost 30 years and 60,000 miles later the car runs great. I recently took it in for a tune up. As I was driving home I realized that my car drives and handles as it did when Bystrom Automotive first repaired it. So I thought it was time to give a shout out. Jack and his real Mechanics not quote on quote Techs. They will do it right the first time, AND they are good enough at there craft they don't charge insane fees to figure out what the problem is. Again they are Journey men at what they do. Oh yeah Jack is also a NHRA Pro fuel Racecar Driver. If you get a chance go see him race at the Pomona Winternational's . I swear he has 10w40 oil running through his veins. They are so good at what they do I tell my friends with classic as well as new cars don't waste time or money just take it to Bystorm Automotive.

I first met Jack when I had just moved to California a few years back. I wasn't used to the smog laws, and my check engine light was on. I took it to a couple AAA mechanics that fixed some symptoms, but never the root cause- I lost a bunch of money and failed the smog twice because they would just do enough to get the check engine light off. Jack took my busted up old Nissan and actually fixed the issue. Not only did I pass my smog test but it has never run better. I only go to Jack ever since then- he is a true professional, doesn't shy away from tough conversations, and does honest work. Here we are a few years later and I've referred all of my family and friends to him. He regularly admonishes me to take better care of my car, because he cares. I genuinely admire the man; a master craftsman. TLDR: you are lucky you found Jack- he'll take care of you.

Jack Bystrom is not only a great mechanic, he's also an honest mechanic who isn't going to take advantage of a customer. The first time I met Jack, and had him work on my car I was shocked when he told me my car was fixed, and how much he only charged me. It was simply a sparkplug that went bad, yet another mechanic told me it was my catalytic converter gone bad. I realize most repairs aren't this simple, but trust and knowledge are tops for me. I highly recommend Bystrom Automotive.

JACK WAS ABLE TO GET OUR TRANSIT VAN UP AND RUNNING OVER THE WEEKEND TO ENSURE WE WEREN'T DOWN A SERVICE VEHICLE. HE ALSO PUT IN SOME HEAVIER DUTY PARTS THAT WILL LAST A LOT LONGER AND HELP WITH THE HEAVY LOAD IN OUR TRANSIT. THANKS JACK!
