Cortez is who I was speaking to. He was great. Helped me look at want is was interested in. But when it came time to figure out financial either down payment to hold till January 8th or a loan it seemed like my business was not wanted. First they only hold for one week if you put a down payment. Financing they don't do loans that small. But the website shows financing gets up to $1,00 off for down payment match. Website shows a car they don't actually have on the lot. Just felt very much like my business was not welcome there from the manager. Again cortez was great but the actual trying to buy process was very much off putting and uninviting.

Brought my car in for a 2nd diagnosis 200$ which was a different from my 1st. Did get my belt changed,good. Car drives good now without work being done that was recommended. Couldn't find my rewards so had to pay total 600$ out of pocket then a charge for using credit card.

My experience at Cable Dahmer Buick GMC of Independence was extremely stressful and confusing, and this review reflects only my personal experience and perceptions. I dropped off my 2016 Buick Encore on Oct 24, 2025 for a diagnostic that cost over $1,000. I was told I would get my quote Monday morning, but on Oct 27 I was told there was an IT issue โonly on my account,โ then later told by a manager that several customers had the same issue. The conflicting information made me uneasy. I never received an electronic quote and had to go in person. On Oct 28 I was told repairs would cost over $18K, which in my opinion seemed unusually high. I bought a car elsewhere. When I returned on Nov 14 to pick up paperwork and remove my plates, I asked about selling my Buick. A salesperson met with me, left me waiting about 30 minutes, then took me outside, away from employees, covered his dealership logo, and said โThis is meโ while offering $250. In my perception, this felt unclear and unsafe. He then told me I needed to drive him to McDonaldโs in my BMW to sign the title because it โcouldnโt be signed on company property,โ which to me was a major red flag. I gathered my things, told him I needed to make a call, and left for my safety. I reported it to HR, who said management was aware, but when I arrived, the manager claimed he had no idea what was happening. The conflicting statements added to my concern. The salesperson approached me again inside in a way that felt uncomfortable to me. Management said he had โpermission,โ but the explanation did not match what I personally experienced. I no longer felt comfortable selling the car there. On Nov 19, a junk car service legally purchased it for $700 instead of the $250 offered. In my opinion, the inconsistent communication, unclear boundaries, and the off-site title request created an experience that felt unprofessional and unsafe. I hope future customers document everything and keep all transactions on-site and on the books.

Just sharing our opinionโฆ had been in contact with salesman William for about two weeks and he had said he had a 2023 terrain he thought we would love. We finally got a day and went to look at it after he said we were approved and ready to go. They say we go he said the vehicle sold, we get there and low and be hold the vehicle is there. We had told him our price and payment ranges. He did everything but listen to us. Nothing he did was anything we wanted about double the price we had discussed. And when it came to down payment they wanted almost $8000.00 down and payments we couldnโt afford. My husband and I ended up leaving and going next door to another lot. We were in and out and on the road in a new vehicle in under an hour.

I had a truly great experience working with Austin Goede, and I donโt say that lightly. I came into this process very aware of where I was financially and a little nervous because of past car-buying experiences. From the very beginning, Austin was genuinely understanding, patient, and respectful of that. He listened, never made me feel judged or pressured, and worked with me to find a solution that actually made sense for my situation. What stood out most was that Austin treated me like a person first, not just a sale. I recently had service done at Cable Dahmer GMC, and overall the experience was excellent. There was a minor issue with slight damage to the tint on my windshield that I didnโt initially bring to their attention. When I later mentioned it in a review request, the response from the dealership was impressive. Jeff, the manager, reached out to me in less than 24 hours with a clear and professional solution and immediately got me scheduled for repair. He was courteous, fast-acting, and genuinely concerned about making things right which speaks volumes about their customer service standards. I also want to give major kudos to Jaren, my service advisor. Even though he was clearly very busy, he remained professional, responsive, and on top of things throughout the process. And Tony, the certified technician, was courteous and professional as well. Outside of that one hiccup, the original service itself was amazing and the way the team handled the follow-up completely reinforced my confidence in Cable Dahmer GMC. Gold stars to Jeff and Jaren. Edit: unfortunately, I have to edit my review. We just purchased a GMC Terrain from here and William H was our sales rep. He was absolutely amazing and super down to earth. Aside from that, shortly after getting the vehicle home we noticed it was leaking something. We called and were told we would have it picked up first thing Friday morning and it should be an easy fix and weโd be good to go. It got picked up Friday..Friday evening rolls around and we still hadnโt heard anything, we called and get told weโre not sure who scheduled us on Friday but they donโt run diagnostics then and it will take longer and theyโd need my vehicle until Monday. We were told if we wanted a loaner weโd have to pick it up early Saturday before they were all gone. Why was I not told this? Why did I have to call? This is ridiculous! Havenโt even had the car for a week and it already needs service just to be told we might have a loaner for you. Not to mention, the extra key fob was either the incorrect one for my vehicle or dead, and the car was missing a windshield wiper. This has not been a good experience!

By far the worst experience I have ever had from a dealership in my lifeโฆ AVOID this dealership!!! First off, we had in writing the price we negotiated on paper and in a text message from our sales lady on my 2023 Tahoe. The day my husband and I came to sign paperwork the price was much more then we agreed on. I know youโre in Independence but your sales managers donโt have to act like it. So unprofessional and act like they donโt know what they are doing. Stupid usโฆ We bought my husband a brand new 2026 Sierra truck which the check engine light came on after 1 week and had to tow it. Since it was within 30 days we let it go back. My Tahoe has now been in the shop for 30 days waiting on a part โฆ horrible communicationโฆ no one knows anything or can give me answers. So Iโm am paying on a car that i canโt even drive and paid taxes on. I have been on 3 loaners now. 1st loaner- transmission fluid leaked all in the drive way and that was towed 2nd - put on so many miles on it waiting on mine to get fixed 3rd- got a few days ago. I hope I donโt need another loaner for my loanerโฆ I want my car back that i paid for!!!

I am writing this review to document an extremely unprofessional and misleading experience with Cable Dahmer Buick GMC of Independence. I purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 for over $91,000. During the sale, the salesman, Frank, told me I was not allowed to use my grandfatherโs legitimate GMC employee discount, despite my grandfather working over 40 years on the GMC production line and the benefit extending to family. I was pressured to pay full price under the claim that multiple buyers were โready to buy.โ Frank also advised me to purchase the truck personally and later transfer it to my roofing company, a process he suggested repeating for future business vehicles. That transaction alone took over six hours. Just over a year later, I returned and purchased two more vehicles: โข 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali ($10,000 down) โข 2024 GMC Yukon XL Denali ($5,000 down) That transaction took over eight hours. I followed all maintenance requirements to protect my extended warranty. When my Sierra 2500โs heater and mirror sensor modules failed, what should have been a routine warranty repair turned into a 27-day delay. I received inconsistent information and was eventually told the repairs were denied because I supposedly had the โwrongโ extended warranty. I was never offered a commercial warranty at purchase. Only after weeks of back-and-forth, and after stating I would leave a detailed review, did finance manager Mike (โBig Mikeโ) agree to upgrade the warranty and cover the repairs. During the delay, I lost a $16,000 roofing job because my work truck was unavailable. I requested reasonable good-faith remediation (tires and brake pads) due to the financial loss. I have received no response. I was also told by Mike that if I left a bad review, he would leave one on my companyโs page โ an unprofessional and retaliatory response. Despite being a repeat customer who spent well into six figures, I was met with poor communication, misinformation, and zero accountability. Contractors and business owners should be aware of how warranty issues are handled after the sale. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.
