Awesome experience: it was refreshing to finally have an honest mechanic that knew exactly what he was doing and didn’t price gouge at all. He took me to my car, jumped it, and when I tried to pay he declined and just told me to pay it forward to someone else in the future. Rarely do I write online reviews about anything.....I have a VW Jetta and needed to get it re-keyed as the key fob was not working. Typically this is a three day process with extra long OBD programming, especially with German or foreign cars in general. Carlos worked a miracle and got this done in about 3 hours. So thankful for his kindness and getting this done so quickly! As well, there are only a couple of shops in Ventura that do re-keying on foreign cars because it is a complicated process. When something happens to your car you just pray and hope that the mechanics you leave your car with are honest, ethical, and fair. Carlos is all of these and I highly recommend that you should take your car here and you will be treated with kindness and fairness from both Carlos and Brian. My many thanks to California Auto Plus and I will be taking my car here for many years to come and you should, as well!

The Mechanics are limited in knowledge. This shop lacks the software and knowledge to directly diagnose a problem. If you need something simple, as a brake change or a part changed, then they are good at that and only that! Forget about a warranty! It’s not worth an argument over that. The prices are like dealerships

Our car broke down driving back to the Bay Area and we called up our cousin who lives in the area for a recommendation. She gave us the number to California Auto Plus. Carlos came to the rescue! We got the car over to Carlos and he got started right away. He diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. We were back on the road the next day.
