I had been to 2 other mechanics who couldn't figure out the problem. It took these 2 guys 10 minutes to solve my problem. Not sure what they're paid, but I think they need a raise! Thank you guys! Just a shout out to Scott and his team at the Newport, KY Carx. We have had multiple vehicles serviced here and every encounter has been spot on! From price, to diagnostics, to actual repairs, they have always done an exceptional job. Scott takes the time to explain and diagnose the issue. He has always been fair and honest when handling our vehicles (we currently own three and all go to Scott for service). As parents, we always encourage our children to take their vehicles to Scott. Just got my 2013 Jeep Wrangler back from service and it runs great. Thanks to Scott and his team for another great service encounter!

Excellent service and pricing! Very trustworthy and I take my vehicle there exclusively because I know they will get the job done! Scott and his team go above and beyond to make sure you leave with your vehicle repaired correctly (they just recently spent their time fabricating/welding a tool that I had missing so that they could complete a repair without just giving up and/or breaking a part just to get it done). Compliments go out to Alex , assistant manager and a tech named Jake. Both were very helpful and persistent in trying to do a break inspection for my very old car!! . The drum on the car was frozen on wheel due to rust. They persisted and persisted to unfreeze the rust and demonstrated a desire to get the job done! They were also very fair in trying to save me money on any repair on this car. I am at the point where I do not want to spend too much money on a car this old and took this into consideration! Alex and Jake were excellent. I highly recommend talking to one of these two gentlemen at Car X in Newport., Ky. . if you have any mechanical car issues Thank Gentlemen

Didn't tighten up the oil filter cap all the oil leaked out car sounds like crap after putting oil back in and trying to tighten it up will not stop leaking Update: the manager personally came to our house and looked over the car, says my wife caught it in time before any damage was done. The shop cleaned it up and says they checked everything over and that that van is fine.

I recently took my car here because it kept needing a jump and I was told that I needed a starter. Scott said he doubts that and ran a diagnostics test. He came back and told me that I actually only needed a battery. He told me that my car only takes a AGM battery and it would cost me $361before taxes. I was very sad because I didn’t get paid til the next day and he said come back when I’m ready to get the battery. I left crying and decided to stop at another place and was told that my car takes a regular battery! He LIED!!! He said that the battery in my car was AGM! It is NOT!!!! It is the original battery that came with the car and it is NOT an AGM battery! I am so hurt because I have been taking my cars to that CAR X for YEARS! I trusted them and as a working single mom of 3, I can’t afford to be scammed! I will NEVER go back and I would NOT recommend this shop!

First time at this location and Scott was not a very good person to be handling customer service. I did not appreciate how he responded to me about a coupon and pulled the price of my service out of the air. Then tried to smooth it over after I agreed to go ahead and get my oil changed. This is not the way to treat customers and maybe you should reevaluation your customer service skills.
