If you have a truck problem Go to Carolina Cat After trying unsuccessfully trying to get my truck fixed at other truck repair shops in my area. A friend recommended Carolina Cat in Asheville. I was at my wits end . I gave them a call and spoke with Gerald. I explained my problem, he said to bring it in we'll take a look at it (no appointment). I pulled it in and within 4 minutes their 2 amazing mechanics had the cause of my problem. Their bays were full and I was stuck. So Gerald made room for me and in less than 2 hours I was on my way all fixed up and happy. This will be the only place I will take my truck from now on. I highly recommend Carolina Cat

These guys are the real deal. The service techs are very responsive and knolegeable. Andrew and Corey have been out several times to help us with our 299dxhp, and both times were fast and efficient with their repairs, and made sure to check the warranty in relation to what could be covered. In the office Andy Cadwell has been on point everytime we called for parts, and is very professional and has given us great confidence in the CAT brand. We have also been helped indifectly by a friendly Cat truck tech named Kelly Sprinkle who went out of his way to give us advice. We stand with the CAT brand!

Currently have a 330 excavator that is plumbed on rent and called to request a hammer to fit the machine and was told that a hammer was only installed on dedicated machines of that size. I’m a superintendent for a company that does over 400 million/ year in work. I will not be renting equipment here in the future.

It's wasted time and money ...👎🏻 I towed my truck with broken turbo and sit over there for 2 hours .They couldn't get me estimate and Parts availability. Every 30 min , Mike said "I'm still waiting for a call" . In mean time I called to closest cummins dealership and they said we can get a part on the next morning . So I towed my truck to another shop and spend another 400$ . That's what kind of business they provide......

Excellent service facility. They rebuilt my C-12 4 years ago and it's still running strong. They stand behind their work. I had a few warranty issues and they took care of them...no problems. I use them for all my major truck repairs. One time I had a air brake chamber blow out atround 6:00 am. I was 30 miles away and was able to be at their shop by 6:30. They had one mechanic there early working on a non emergency issue. He stopped what he was doing had my brake issue repaired and I was out the door in a short period of time. Great staff!!!

Do not buy from here. They will sell you machines with factory defects and then tell you it's your fault for buying them even after many mechanic visits. They will not let all departments sit down together with you and therefore control information...no way to get everyone on the same page. They will sell you a top warranty with parts, labor, and travel time...then let you know later that the warranty with travel time only covers routine maintenance. ...no straight talkers. ...no fair contracts (hidden in the purchase agreement is a clause that makes you have to pay CAT's lawyers & legal fees even if you win) ...if anything goes wrong, they will do their best to take care of themselves no matter what happens to you. Go elsewhere. CAT was once a great, American company. Now, even after you suggest that they use you to help improve their machines, they tell you to keep making payments and take a hike. They will promise that a machine is not made in China...and then it'll stamped right on it's badge. Shallow, self serving, fake people.

DO NOT RENT EQUIPMENT HERE. Anywhere else in town you can rent the same type of equipment with a picture of your ID and a credit card on file. The process to be approved to rent equipment here is insane. You had better apply days before you need it, they will want to be listed on your insurance, they need every detail of your business, and they require a character reference, who they will actually call but only 24 hours after you already needed the equipment. All to rent the same piece of equipment you can get at home depot for the same price with a picture of your ID.

We recently rented 2 brooms when we were working up in Asheville. One was a pickup broom and one was a rotary broom. I rented it for 2 weeks and got charged $2971. I then was charged for damages for $4500 which is absolutely ridiculous. The pickup broom bearing was whining when we got it and we stopped using it. We called the service team they got out there and fixed a coupling on the rotary broom and looked at what was causing the whining. The bearing was bad on the pickup broom and then got charged $4500 for something we did not break. A bearing on a broom cannot break in 2 weeks. I dealt with Austin James at Carolina Cat and he told me multiple times over the phone they would dismiss the bearing charges, coupling charge , and I would only be charged for the Brissels which had wear caused by us. Carolina Cat Lies through their teeth and they are perfectly fine with it. I do not have anything good to say about Carolina cat in Asheville. I do not recommend doing business with them as they are not fair to their customers. They scam people for their money. I would not Buy, rent,etc from Carolina Cat.
