Disappointed. Took my first vehicle there years ago. They had best price, great service, and turned the truck around quickly. This year its a different story. Price is inline with a new trans from the dealership, $400 higher out the door than quoted by phone, and i have had to make 8 follow up phone calls in 2 weeks. I was told project would be done in 3 business days, it has now been over two weeks, still not done. every day they tell me they will call me. I always wait the full day to give benefit of the doubt, they never call. I have had to call each time. very very disappointed. I hope the workmanship is better than the customer service. I will not return, and I will not recommend. I was starting to wonder if my car was even at their shop anymore or if it was gone.

Awesome shop and great employees. Rob and Pat have always been on top of our insane truck problems (that'll teach us to buy a what we thought would be a nice truck with "minimal" issues). Got our transmission replaced for a pretty decent price considering the cost of those things and took it back in for some more repairs. Rob and Pat have also been very patient with us even when I call a lot. Rob explained things so that I could understand what was going on with the truck and never once made me feel like I was being over charged or yanked around for being a "female" (we all know it happens ladies)!! He also has great recommendations on products.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!! If you would like your vehicle back in a timely manner, don't take it in to this place. They procrastinate, they are not honest with you. I had my car in this shop since 8/7/17, I paid him $651 for what they supposedly did, and my car is still not fixed. It literally sat in their shop for 2 weeks, without them even touching it. When trying to get an update on what is going on with the car Rob, gives you an excuse to get you off the phone. He tells you he will call you back and he never calls you back. He then starts to ignore your calls and never returns voice messages. I had to start calling him from my work phone so that he would not recognize my number on his caller ID. I had to present myself at the shop numerous times to get an update. I had to literally stand in front of him as he order parts he knew he needed since day one. He then tells you your car will be ready on such day and at such time and when you call to confirm he tells you it’s not ready yet, and to give him another day. Then he keeps giving you the same excuses. At this point I just wanted the truth, if he could fix my car or not. My final attempt was calling him asking him for an update. He told me he would go find out and would call me right back and of course he never did. So, I showed up at his shop, my war was not even being worked on. In that moment, I just asked him how much I owed him and to give me back my car. I will take it to another mechanic that is competent and can fix it. Worst Experience Ever. The worst thing of all is that Rob, is the owner of this place and no matter how many times you tell him you are without a car and you really need your car back, he will not hurry up. There is absolutely no sense of urgency at this place. Who can be without a vehicle for an entire month? NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK TO CENTRAL TRANSMISSION.

Don't like to write a bad review about anybody but I had to. After the owner Rob missed 4 promise date when i finally got my truck back it was damaged and all Rob did was laugh and said it was that way when i brought it in. It wasn't. Don't trust him or a business that only takes cash. Lots of other shop out there. Don't use this one. He's like dealing with a used car salesman

I was calling around looking for someone who could fix my Dodge Ram transmission (48RE) and I stumbled upon Rob and his shop. He knew what the problem was right away and fixed my transmission. I really can't say enough about the team at Central Transmission. I work in the car business and I have never been more impressed. they have done so many jobs others quoted 10 to 12k and I leave paying a 3rd of the competition price and the job actually done right. How much is it worth to have it done right the first time? Not to mention they always go through and build them stronger then the factory so you don't just end up there later with the same issue like the dealer loves to do you!! Do yourself a favor and call Rob and tell him what you have and he will point you in the right direction. You can trust he will always be there helping his local clients and community! I might just see you there!

If I could give this place a 0 start I would. Never take your vehicle to this place they don’t know what they’re doing. I had them do a diagnosis on my transmission and told them the symptoms I had and they didn’t listen to what I told them and their diagnosis came out to be that the transmission was not doing anything wrong other than shuddering which was the only thing they listen to and my other concerns they didn’t care about. Unprofessional service and overly price. Take your business somewhere else. Also my truck left with a noise that didn’t have prior to brining it in.

Rob and company receive a 4.5 star from me! You don't get care and kindness in automotive anymore like you do from Rob and his crew. Was the job quoted at a certain price, and i walked out $380 more? Yes. Did I waste an entire morning driving BUCKLEY to Kent because they stated it would be done, and it wasn't. well... MY FAULT for not checking to see! I'd rather a shop take 5 extra days and show CARE AND COMPASSION. There was a legit reason it wasn't done. Wrong torque converter, and a worn line that they needed replaced. ALL GOOD! They found a worn oil line, and could have "slapped the trans in there" but instead they said hey its going to be a few extra days. NO BIG DEAL! I'd recommend Rob and Central Transmission to anyone looking for a transmission shop that does it right the 1st time. Thanks for the help on the Ford Transit Connect, fellas.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THE MOST MISERABLE EXPERIENCE EVER. Heed my words. We recently had a transmission go out on a camper van and rather than rebuilding ourselves again, decided to pay a professional to ease the amount of stress that doing it alone causes. We were going to order a rebuilt transmission online, and absolutely should have. Instead, we went to Rob at Central Transmission. He talked a good talk and pricing was on par, so even though Kent is an hour drive each way, we decided to go with him. This was a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE mistake. After driving the transmission down and back (2 hours of time), it took longer than expected to get it back. He upsold us on a "better" torque converter. We had to send my elderly dad to pick up the transmission due to scheduling. My dad went to pick it up (another 2 hours), and bring it home. While not ideal, we are experts on installing transmissions on this van. The entire van has been rebuilt and remodeled by us. This transmission does not work. The Torque converter did not fit right and had incorrect splines that don't match the input shafts for the transmission. At the point we knew this wasn't going to work out. Rob started being non-responsive at this time, but after threatening legal action, he told us we could pay to have the van towed to him so he could look at it. We offered to do that the next day and he informed us we would need to wait at least a week to do it, so here we sat, wasting another week. At that point, Rob (appropriately named) went dark. Totally ghosted. Completely MIA. We ended up having to buy another torque converter out of pocket. That one fit fine, however, the transmission does not shift properly. The van is completely undrivable, the transmission does not shift, Rob will not respond and we are left out TWENTY FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. $2,500!!!!! I cannot even believe it. Messing with trying to get this transmission to work, getting the bad torque converter off (this took hours due to the bad fit), getting it to fit for installation, removing, replacing with another torque converter (out several hundred dollars more here), getting it reinstalled and then finding out the transmission itself won't shift, has cost us SOMEWHERE AROUND 35 HOURS, resulted in physical body wear and pain, and so much heartache, frustration and ultimately rage. So, here we sit, without a van. Without nearly $3,000. Rob (again, appropriately named), only takes payment in cash, likely because he knows he's robbing his customers, and then they can't dispute it with their bank or credit card company. And we still have to get another or rebuild this transmission ourselves. Meanwhile, not a peep from Rob, despite continued outreach. Ultimately, we will be out nearly $6,000. That doesn't include time and labor. We will be filing in small claims court. There are so many other reviews on various platforms, sharing similar experiences, and I wish we would have listened to them. Please hear me when I say - take your business elsewhere, please. We don't wish this experience on anyone at all.

Took my vehicle in to have assessed on a hard shifting when taking my foot off the gas. They did a test drive, check the the codes, found no codes and did a transmission service, dropped the pan and new filter. Found extremely dirty and burnt smell transmission fluid. I figured it was going to be Bad. New vehicle to me. Was recommend overhaul of transmission. The cost for the service was $325.00 (for looking at it and fluid & filter) seems expensive to me. Was not offered any additional options other than a full rebuild, thinking that would solve the problem without actually finding the problem. Found it disappointing that they didn’t investigate any further nor did they wanna try they just wanted to rebuild the transmission. I believe the problem lies within the valve body or the lead frame and or Solenoids that controls the transmission. You don’t need a rebuild to take a look those items. All so Extremely hard to find parking In the parking lot. A Lot of vehicles sitting there and the entrance /office was not inviting.
