Loan Pham was a great consultant providing excellent information about my service needs. She went the extra mile to provide timely delivery on my Suburban. Service needs included shocks, brakes, water pump. All were handled efficiently and effectively

Mike at the mechanic help desk was very pleasant and helpful. He treated me like I mattered as a got a little impatient as I was passed by others to get my truck serviced. He let me know of the long wait time ahead of my oil change which let me go off and handle other task for the day. Mike is a asset at Jim Ellis Chevrolet and I hope he is recognized for his undeniable excellent customer service.

Mixed review because I was quite disappointed with the amount of time required for a scheduled appointment routine oil change 4.5 hours. However, they did acknowledge how inappropriate this was and comped the whole service without even discussing with me or without me having to express frustration so I will say that was pretty admirable of them.

I had my 2024 Colorado LT hauled in on a flatbed due to severe engine sputtering and multiple messages on my dash such as traction control, loss of engine power, check, engine, light, etc. This is a chronic issue from day one of purchase. It had previously been worked on at another dealership where they replaced the ECM and injectors. So the advisor told me that they would check the wiring harness this time but 15 days later and no loaner vehicle they had test drove it on two separate occasions for a total of 31 miles and did not duplicate the issue.I had told them it needed to be driven between 55 and 75 miles an hour on Georgia 400 a great place and it would likely fault again but they did not do that instead they drove it at a slower speed on a back street and they did not check my wiring harness so I picked up my truck and while driving it to the previous dealership via Georgia 400 my truck began sputtering and shaking with the same type of dashboard messages that I had before, so I took it to the other dealership to be diagnosed again. I am very disappointed with the service department at Jim Ellis Chevrolet, and rate them a one the lowest possible score.

While the experience was fine, I will not return to this location again. The free tire rotation was not honored despite the fact that I could not get there last year (working 60-70 hour weeks). I am not going to go 25 miles out of the way when I pass 4 other Chevy dealerships who will do the same service for the same price.

I went in for an oil change, cabin filter and alignment and not only was it hideously expensive, it took 9.5 hours to be completed. I was told after dropping the car at 8.30 it would be done by lunch at worst, called at 11.30, not done, but it’s on the lift, call again at 12.30, still on the lift, call at 2.30, we are doing the alignment, won’t be long sir, then spend 30 minutes on hold at 3.30 as I need to get the kids from school, it will be done about 5 sir. Get to the shop at 5, oh it will be done soon, at 5.45 my car rolls out the shop. So bad, communication was not good and all they could offer was a small discount off the already very expensive service. Turns out they were down on staff, which I’m sorry you knew that when you started the day, why was a loaner not offered instead of totally messing up my whole day. Won’t be servicing my vehicle here again.

The service was really good for me. Vladimir Kochubey was my service advisor and he actually got my car ready in the same day instead of one week I was really appreciated so much… He’s great. Highly recommended for Vladimir.

Brian Baker is my service specialist. As long as I show up on time he gets me out of there fast. Very knowledgeable and listens to what I am asking to repair. I highly recommend this service department and Brian Baker if he is available.

Vlad (service rep) is the best! We had a cold spell and I noticed that my battery was struggling. I stopped in earlier this week without an appointment and Vlad had a new battery installed within two hours at a low cost. Multiple times Vlad and the entire service team have helped me and been great.

Having a vehicle worked on in our current environment can be a very frustrating experience for the customer. Often customer expectations are a little unrealistic (constant communication, drop everything for them specifically, immediate turn around of vehicle, etc.) and combined with a labor shortage of skilled people who actually want to work often leads many negative experiences, opinions and reviews. I say that because reading the previous reviews of Jim Ellis Chevrolet Service Center, for the most part, outlines that point. When I brought my new Tahoe in for an upgraded exhaust I was contacted by Vlad to schedule a day and overall time to bring it in. He was aware that I was from a couple of hours away so coordination would be needed especially with ATL traffic. I arrived early for my appointment as traffic just happened to be lighter that day. Vlad was right there and got me checked in promptly. I knew it would take some time to install my exhaust and I was willing to wait. I also was anticipating the unknown and potential issues to pop up as Murphy's Law is always in effect. He explained that it would take a few hours to do the install which I knew and was prepared for. When Vlad came and told me it was ready I was honestly surprised as it had only been like 4 hours and I could see all the customer traffic they had received that day. Unfortunately, my Tahoe is a bit feral and there were some harmonic vibrations from the exhaust I could hear when I left. I immediately returned and Vlad was visibly upset that it was not 100% right the first time. He apologized several times for it, but honestly I understand. After having enough vehicles and modifying a lot of vehicles over my lifetime, I know that sometimes gremlins pop-up and some vehicles are finicky. This is the same with repair as once you fix one part another part can and often does break. It's just is what it is sometimes. He was able to get me back on the road within minutes and I started my drive home. Sadly, the sound was back after the long drive so I communicated back with Vlad and he expressed that he would really like to have another chance to "make it right" which is something I don't hear often anymore. I was able to bring it back a day later and Vlad was able to get it back right away. Turns out the heat shield was causing the issue (which is what we all figured) and they were able to take it all off and get it adjusted and fixed quickly. I was back on the road this time within just a couple hours. What set Jim Ellis out for me was the communication with and from Vlad to me about my Tahoe but also the communication and observations I gained while waiting. I saw a service team that clearly communicated with customers (even ones that were being less than nice) and they clearly outlined what was going on and the next steps in the process. Everyone that I encountered that worked there had a happy look and seemed to be enjoying their day. That tells volumes of an establishment. Sure, sometimes thing happen and stuff goes wrong. That is life and it is what it is however know what you are getting into to begin with. In my opinion, the whole process with everything at Jim Ellis Chevrolet (sales, financing, service) was an A+ experience. I cannot say that about other dealerships which is why I am willing to drive a few hours to visit Jim Ellis. They treat you as a person with a name and not just a number. I have experienced the latter many times over the years and those establishments I no longer visit. I will certainly be back to Jim Ellis Chevrolet in the future. Thanks to Vlad and his team of service professionals I have a new Tahoe that my wife loves the sound of and is very happy with. Happy wife = Happy Life.

Michael Fair in particular and all Jim Ellis team members in general really do good work. They do they’re best getting you in & out as quickly as possible. Just went in for an oil change and tire rotation. I couldn’t believe how fast and efficient they were…

People here are great and friendly, plus attentive. But man this is the most expensive service department at a Chevrolet dealer by a landslide. My home dealer is Nash Chevrolet but come here when I am crunched for time. An oil change/tire rotation for a Silverado 1500 5.3 is $235 after taxes and fees! That is over $100 more expensive than Nash Chevrolet in Snellville. The service also takes 45 - 60 minutes longer here.

Service was quick and good, however once we were told that an oil change was needed they said the cost would be $220 for an oil change, with the dealership knowing it was unlikely we’d go elsewhere since they had our vehicle up on the rack. I asked why an oil change costs so much and was told “the cost of oil has risen this year”. Like I’m an idiot. I asked again about it in person and it was reduced to $190 total, but our car was on the rack and it would be very inconvenient to go elsewhere and the dealership knew that. The Jim Ellis website shows an 8 quart oil change at $150, so I was still overcharged. All you have to do is treat repeat customers fairly and not feed them BS, so we’ll take our service for our new Tahoe elsewhere.

The service itself seems fine. Price was a bit much. Tires i understand but over 500 bucks to update my infotainment system is crazy. Wanted them to fix my front illuminated bow tie logo that has a known issue with letting water in and damaging the lights to cause mildew and causes the light to flicker and go out. Under warranty or not that is a flaw design that should be fixed for free. Others have had theirs fixed 3 times under their warranty. They wanted me to pay $1,600 to fix it. Yeah thats a no. I'm confident I could just order the piece and do it myself. I'm not paying that just for it to do it again. I would at least put something extra on the cracks to prevent leaking.

My service provider was awesome. She took care of me professionally. She made everything very comfortable for me. The thing I like most was, she said my car would be ready at 3 o’clock. My car was ready at 2:30. She provided me a ride back to the dealership.. I felt like a world star. I would recommend her to anyone.. Thanks Young ladyfor your professionalism❤️👍🏿

Larry at Jim Ellis Buick GMC was amazing. His customer service was top tier. He explained all the different functions of my car to me and got me on the road. If you ever want to purchase a Buick, go see him. He’s your guy for sure. You won’t be disappointed. (The one star deduction was only due to a minor hiccup with delivery of the vehicle. Not a reflection of the service I received).

Brought vehicle in for routine oil change. Services were completed. I drove to my residence in Villa Rica. When I got ready to drive my vehicle I noticed oil on the ground. I did bring it back on Monday and I assume they drained the oil and added some more. I was advised that the oil drain plug was an after market brand and the seal had worn out. Also was advised that this should have been noticed during the inspection when my vehicle was on the car lot. I bought my first Silverado from Jim Keras and it is still running like a champ. Imagine my surprise when all this happened to my 2022 Silverado. I am a little disappointed.
