The staff is nice. I had an obvious problem. The alternator on my car died. They verified that it was the alternator the day after I dropped it off and quickly replaced it. All service was good. No complaints about the people, location, or end result. The only problem is the cost of parts. They replaced my broken alternator with a refurbished aftermarket alternator. The charge for the part was more than the cost of a new OEM alternator. Further, I could easily purchase the exact refurbished alternator online for a fraction the price they charged. Even the bolt they replaced was marked up 5x what it costs to purchase the same bolt from any supply store. Looking at each part, the markup is 300% to 500%. I agree that they should have a markup, but I feel it should be closer to 30%.

Cole and the entire CBA crew have been great. They have worked on each of our family’s cars at some point and always provided great service with upfront costs estimates, and completing the job in a timely manner! The guys over here are so friendly. They always go out of their way to help me. I can drop my car off on the weekend and leave the key with them, and they call me when it is ready to pick up. I trust these guys and have seen what great car they take with my car. Their prices seem fair too...they are not greedy but they understandably still make a profit. My car is my baby, she's nothing fancy but she's mine. I had a mild breakdown over a scary noise it started making and my mom had me call these guys. 24 hours later my baby is back in my driveway making no strange noises! These guys are great, they keep you updated, don't talk to you like you're a dumb girl or try to upsale anything. 10/10 this is my Greenville mechanic!

A big shoutout to Cole and Phillip at Christian Brothers Automotive Greenville! I arrived without an appointment, my engine light was on, and there was mysterious smoke coming from my vehicle. The team quickly stepped in to help—they even gave me a ride while they diagnosed my car. They went over the estimate and suggestions with me clearly, and fixed my car the same day! I can't express how grateful I am for their exceptional service and hospitality. The entire experience was amazing; they made me feel comfortable and handled the situation perfectly. I have a 2024 Diesel truck that is still under warranty and have always preferred to go to the dealership but the last time I went to my local GMC for service the experience was very disappointing. I debated on going to Christian Brothers for Service, but they’ve always done a great job on my wife’s car so I stuck with my appointment and very glad that I did. Everyone was very friendly from the start and explained everything to me even why the price they were charging was justified and it was still much less than GMC. CBA looked up to make sure not only to use the proper weight oil, but also make sure to use the brand that was recommended and made a special trip to go get it. I really liked the detailed report, including pictures of my vehicle as they did their inspection, I highly recommend CBA, I will definitely be back!

I'm not at all happy with the results from my recent oil change on my G Wagon. Long wait, plus oil hand prints over hood and driver's door. (black car). They should stick to Chevy's not Lux vehicles. My mistake for taking it... last time.

When my wife and kids were stuck with a broke down minivan 500 miles away from home (and me), I only had to think for a moment about how and where to arrange service. I'm a CBA customer in Birmingham AL and quickly found two CBA locations nearby them in the Greenville SC area. We took our car to Christian Brothers on Woodruff Rd for the first time and were blown away by the incredible customer service! From the very beginning, Cole was great to work with, keeping us informed each step of the way. Our car needed a part that was on delayed back order through the dealership (no fault of theirs). We talked through some different options and came up with a solution that worked for us. The part finally arrived and they completed the repair quickly. We will now always bring our vehicles to this location. Highly recommend!

I’m sharing this not to be harsh, but to be real and hopefully help someone else avoid the same stress. My first experience here was last summer. I came in because I was having alternator issues and was sent away being told they couldn’t figure out what was wrong because it was “running fine”. Not long after that, my car shut off while I was driving on the highway, which was honestly terrifying. I had it towed back and was then told the alternator needed to be replaced, which ended up costing around $700. I accepted it and moved on, assuming things just happen. (I have a 2009 Honda accord and have been told many times that the price was a bit costly but I’m not the professional so I didn’t ask questions) This most recent visit is what really pushed me to write this. I came in for starting issues and was quoted almost $1,400 for a starter and battery, with the heads-up that after that, they’d need to run another diagnostic and could potentially find even more problems. That felt super defeating, especially since my car isn’t even worth that much. I decided to get a second opinion and had my car towed to a private mechanic, where I’m now being quoted almost half the price. I understand businesses price things differently, and I’m a business owner myself, so I really try to be empathetic , but when nearly everyone I spoke to (including other mechanics) told me this sounded like way too much, it was hard not to feel taken advantage of. On top of that, I was still charged $150 for a diagnostic, even though my car is still completely dead due to the starter and had to be towed again anyway. Between that and towing costs, it was just financially exhausting. Everyone I interacted with was kind, especially Cole, he has been very patient and nice, and I’m not trying to discredit anyone’s work.I just walked away feeling discouraged and honestly pretty defeated , especially as a young woman who doesn’t know a ton about cars and is already struggling to make ends meet. I’d really encourage anyone with an older car or a tight budget to get a second opinion and look into smaller, local mechanics.

I can’t say enough about Christian Brothers Automotive in Greenville. From the very first phone call, Dustin and the entire team treated me with honesty, patience, and respect. My 2003 Nissan 350Z had major issues that most shops simply didn’t have the knowledge, expertise and/or experience to tackle but Dustin didn’t shy away—he carefully inspected everything, explained the findings in detail, and gave me straightforward guidance about my options. Instead of pushing unnecessary repairs, they were transparent about the reality: restoring this car would cost more than it was worth, and it wouldn’t be safe for me to drive. That kind of integrity is rare in the auto industry. They could have easily taken my money for piecemeal repairs, but instead, they put my safety first. As a Catholic mother of a large family, I truly value that their Christian values shine through in how they run their business. My family now considers them our mechanics, and I will recommend them to everyone I know. The name says it all: Christian Brothers. Their tag line and their integrity reflect the values they truly live by. Thank you, Dustin, Joe, Carl & Coal for your professionalism, your honesty, and your heart.
