Great service and friendly, helpful staff! On my way to lunch recently, I drove off an uneven patch of pavement with the right front tire of my Subaru Legacy. The engine started shuddering and several alerts lit up on my dashboard. I was close to Christian Brothers Automotive, so pulled in and asked if they could check out the problem. They kept the car for the afternoon and gave me a courtesy ride to the restaurant. When they ran diagnostics, they found that an emissions coil had disconnected, which they said was very rare. They reconnected it and cleared the alert codes, and the car has run well since then.

Found a hidden gem in north Scottsdale for my future car mechanic needs! I was referred to Christian Brothers about a battery replacement and had an outstanding experience! It is difficult to find an honest, trustworthy mechanic but from the start, Blake was very welcoming and offered me water, answered my questions, and set me up with a free shuttle to and from my house while my vehicle was being fixed, The shuttle drivers were very sweet and the shuttle was pleasantly clean. While my car was being fixed, they were in consrant communication, committed to the time schedule, and also provided a free diagnostic including videos and a detailed list of areas that needed attention and areas that were checked and were deemed okay. Overall, a great experience and worthy of their 5-star reviews.

I highly recommend this shop. Everyone I encountered here was extremely friendly and accommodating. I dropped my car off 7am on the dot for an oil change and it was done within 2 hours as they had promised. I appreciated the complimentary inspection they perform. The courtesy shuttle service is also very convenient and the shuttle cars are meticulously taken care of and clean. Thanks for everything!

Sadly, I cannot give this auto shop good ratings. Have been a customer for a while just due to convenience from my work. Their prices are pretty steep. I wish that was my only beef with them. The front office staff are always super friendly, but their is severe incompetence with mechanics and guys actually doing the work. They break stuff that wasn't broken when you take your car in. They misdiagnosed several issues and it cost me $6k when my car broke down a week after being in their shop when they said they fixed the problem. I was trying to be proactive and paid to fix what they said was the problem, but the problem was actually something completely separate and it caused severe damage.

Had a hand truck tire that needed air and was told by Discount Tire to try Christian Brothers since Discount Tire would not help with the problem. Adam said he would try to help and he and another employee were able to fix the tire. They wouldn't accept any money for the service. I will be sure to use this company for any automotive problem.

Great people who are very kind and helpful. Got me in instantly and everyone was very friendly. They also have a free shuttle service which I didn’t use but was great to know I had. Only gave 4 stars because the prices were too high. Quoted 1400 to replace spark plugs and ignition coils to fix an engine misfire and I got OEM parts from autozone the next day and fixed it myself with minimal tools in just over an hour for only 400 bucks. Another shop quoted me the same price so I can’t say they were trying to scam me at all but something was wrong with that price as it was far too high.

Sad experience - (dealership level repair prices) - Brought my GMC Yukon here with an overheating problem... after receiving the invoice of recommended repairs (of $11,058) I investigated parts and labor on my own, and I called a few other shops as well. I discovered that the parts and labor were being up-charged at an enormous amount. Aftermath - I was able to complete repairs at a professional shop for less than 50% of what I was quoted from Christian Brothers - not what I would expect from a company with this title.

I recently came into Christian Brothers with an overheating problem. They cited a coolant flow issue and recommended I replaced both the water pump and the thermostat. Considering the thermostat was effectively brand new, I assumed the issue must lie with the water pump, which all together costs $1000 to replace. Unfortunately, after I got my vehicle back the overheating issue persisted, and after replacing the thermostat myself, it finally subsided. I believe Christian Brothers does good work, and some of the amenities they offer are truly unique, but I can’t recommend this shop. I would hope a competent mechanic shop can tell if an issue lies with a $200 fix or $1000 one. Since I know Christian Brothers is competent, I have to assume they recommend you replace all parts connected to an issue in hopes to make extra money. As someone who is not currently in a position to afford a $1000 repair unless they absolutely have to, I can’t recommend a shop that seems to have a “swap it all” mentality around repairs as opposed to a pinpoint diagnostic one in an effort to save their customers money.

Every associate from the initial phone call to the visits was professional and friendly. I have driven by for years but have always taken my Rover to the dealer or specialized auto tech. When a “low battery, start engine” message came on, thought it just needed a new battery. That wasn’t the case and they were honest and detailed in their explanation, findings and reports. The price was shockingly low when I checked out! I’ll definitely be back. I appreciate their customer experience business approach!!

We received the best service and had a wonderful experience with this team. My husband was recently diagnosed with cancer and we were sent to be treated at Mayo Clinic in Arizona from New Mexico. The check engine light in our vehicle went off about 2 hours before our appointment at Mayo Clinic, so we desperately tried to find a mechanic in the area that could look at it while we were at the appointment and get it back to us so we can head back to NM. When I called explaining our situation, Dana from their office staff got us in right away. She also arranged for us to have a complementary ride to and from our appointment with their driving service. We were driven by Garret who was very friendly and professional. He got us to our appointment in time. The mechanic team was able to get our car finished by the time they closed for the day; the cost was very reasonable. Dana also was such a kind and compassionate person regarding our situation. They made what seemed initially like a difficult day so much better and provided incredibly professional service. While driving from Orange County, CA, to visit family in Scottsdale last Saturday, my 2013 Nissan Altima began vibrating dramatically at freeway speeds. Unintelligently, I completed my drive to Scottsdale. Based on family recommendations, I made an appointment for Monday morning to get a wheel alignment and inspection. It was immensely convenient to make an online appointment over the weekend so I could keep my plans knowing I could drop off the car on Monday morning. The service writer, Kevin, did a wonderful job asking questions to diagnose my car concerns. On Monday afternoon, they texted me the results of the full vehicle information, and what they found was in need of repair. The text included photos of the issues and generic videos explaining what caused them and the impact of not addressing them. I agreed to the urgent recommendations and passed on one we both felt could wait until another day. They promised to get all the parts and complete the repairs on Tuesday. And they achieved their promise. The final cost was exactly what they quoted. I drove home on Wednesday with new tires, aligned wheels, and repaired steering rods. I felt like I was floating in the air for the 400-mile drive. Thank you to Christian Brothers, my Service Writer: Keith Woodford and my Technician: Austin Kipfer
