New to the state and learned we needed a safety inspection and odometer check on our cars. Called Chuck's and they got me in quickly and did the needed inspections. Will recommend to our neighbors who are also new to the state!

The absolute best car repair place in Kansas City. They are very professional, courteous, honest and timely. They never sell you things you don't need. I have an old car I've been taking here for years and I would never think of going anywhere else. Christie and her staff are fantastic.

Just moved to the Parkville area, and I started to have some power steering troubles. This was a bummer for me as I always had my cousin do work on my car and not have to pay a shop or anything. Now, he isn't here and I needed to get it looked at. My brother told me to check out Chucks and I am glad I did. First went there with the problem they peeked at it, said I was low on power steering fluid, which I was. Filled me up, and sent me on my way. However, the noise didn't stop. So I went back in two days. The front desk lady, I believe to be Chucks daughter, was EXTREMELY nice and very helpful. Told her the noise didn't go away and she told me they would have to look at it. So I dropped it off the next day and they she told me she would call with an estimate. Later that day, she called with an estimate of a very reasonable price for the work that had to be done, they had to replace the power steering pump, and reservoir. I called my cousin, confirmed, and away they went. Said it would take 3.5 hrs. They ended up keeping it all night and a little into the next day, which was not awesome, but they did what they had to do to make sure it was done right. Being from Illinois, the underbelly of my car is torn up from all the harsh winters and I was told they had a hell of a time fixing it. I got my car back, everything sounded great, no more noise. Good to go! However, a day or two later I noticed a little antifreeze dripping...and having a new radiator put in back home, I was a little nervous they damaged it. This was not the case. I went back in and they told me to come back next afternoon and they'll throw it on the lift for me. So, I did just that. They threw it on the lift, brought me in there and showed me the problem(transfer pipe from radiator rusting out, damn salt!) He told me I should replace it soon, but I am trying make it so my cousin can do it as I am a college student and well ya, labor isn't cheap! So all in all, Chuck's Parkville Garage is the place to go if you want honest and caring people working on your car. I thanked them a million times over. I will do once more! Thanks again Chuck and mechanics! You guys were great

Chuck's has always been my go-to for car repair. Their prices are reasonable, and they are very trustworthy. They do their best to work me in when I'm in a pickle, and they do a great job of keeping me up to date on my service.

Honest, fairly priced. They could have ignored a larger issue and just had us keep coming back for the smaller repair is caused, but instead brought it to my attention. Overnight dropoff for repairs is also super convenient. Tell your friends, Chuck's is great.

Really, really enjoyed my experience with Chuck's Parkville Garage. I needed to get an inspection and it was nearing the end of the month. I just googled inspections with my area code and Chuck's came up. I used to go to Smart Car attached to the Kmart off Prairie View but I believe it has closed. Anyway, I called a day before and they had an opening. I wasn't able to make it so my wife took the car in. She was a little late because I told her to go to the wrong place. They were still holding her reservation open when she got there and they told her it would be about thirty minutes. About thirty minutes later, the car had passed inspection, it took less time than anticipated and they were very helpful. Friendly, locally owned, small business that knows they have to go the extra mile to keep you satisfied. I would recommend.

The best, most honest, transparent mechanics in the Northland. They have always considered my budget first and doing what they can to work within what I could afford and do the absolute necessary repairs and sometimes leaving the “not-so-immediate” repairs for a later date. I have referred my entire family to Chuck’s and they all have had GREAT experiences as well!

Christy and Cam are awesome people. I drove to work on a tire losing air, and fast. Needed a patch, they got it done same day before I was off work. Thanks again guys!

Take cash. Car serviced 3/1/24. I was told $200 for brake pads, and "about $300" for rotors. It would help if it were explained per axle or including labor. After assessment, I was told $528 (every tire didn't need the same service). On my credit card, there's an extra $20 charge for using a credit card, which was never mentioned. I was repeatedly told $528 up until my card was swiped, which is on one receipt. So now it's $547, and I'm upset bc that's an (unnecessary) LARGE hidden fee. The second woman, who was not Christy, wasn't the best person for me

I love chuck’s! They’ve always done their best for me and they have always been totally honest. I’m a lady without a ton of knowledge on cars and I trust going to chuck’s 1000%. I went to them from checking out parkville mechanics and then I always read the most negative reviews even on a 4-5 star rated business. You can tell a lot by the quality of people leaving the 1 star reviews. Any 1 star review on chuck’s automotive has been idiots that don’t know what they’re talking about. And of course seeing good reviews about honesty and fair pricing got me hooked. Now I try my best to go to chucks when my car has issues. My only complaint is sometimes they’re just too busy for me depending on my car’s complication and the time of year. Thanks chuck’s for being an honest shop!

My van broke down unexpectedly 2 days before Christmas. After being towed there they were very cooperative and thorough in getting me back on the road. No gimmicks no unnecessary issues. Fixed my van and even pointed out some issues to watch. Give them your time, definitely worth it 👌

This is the shop to go to. They do great work and I've never had to take a vehicle back for something they've worked on. The lady up front is super awesome, I always enjoy talking with her. Every employee I've spoken with is kind and respectful. They won't try to sell you something you don't actually need, it's always for a good reason (I've had a dealership try to sell me a complete set of rotors for a miniscule amount of wear on one rotor). For the things they don't work on (exhaust and transmission are all I know) they send you to places they use and they've done great work for me. Seriously, I recommend bringing your vehicles here.

I went to Chuck's after having a bad experience at a different garage in the area. I was very happy with the honest advice I got here. They had the work done quickly, they didn't try to push anything the car didn't need and the people I interacted with were all friendly. I moved to the area about a year ago and this will be my go-to shop. Happy to find one that I don't have to approach cautiously.

Had what I thought might be a complicated wiring issue, Chuck’s diagnosed and repaired it at a super reasonable price. Most garages would milk a job like that for a ton of hours and “diagnostic fees” but Chuck’s was honest and transparent. They even pointed out a potential future fail point on my car which I completely overlooked when I bought it. They also were one of the few shops willing to even look at a car made in the 90’s - believe it or not, a lot of shops I called consider that “too old” to work on now! I came to Chuck’s originally because of the great reviews they had, so I feel obligated to add another one. I will definitely go back next time I have car troubles!

We have had a positive experience every time we have used Chuck's. We had a very old car with a major engine failure that wasn't worth the investment to fix it. Chuck's didn't charge us for evaluating it. They have always been fair and honest.

I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. I brought my vehicle in for two separate issues. First, one of the pumps for my windshield washer fluid was not working and needed to be replaced. Second, I was having battery issues. Well, with regard to the pump, she said they needed to order the part and that they would order it and let me know when it was in and ready for repair. However, she never called. In fact, I called twice to follow up in the next several WEEKS and she told me that, first, she still needed to order it and then the second time was that she was still waiting for the part to come in. I don't believe either of these to be true. I don't think she wanted to do the work for whatever reason, so she was just stalling. All the while, I am still thinking she is going to do some work for me. But she never called and likely never ordered the pump. For the battery issue, she told me that they checked and there were no issues with the battery (singular). However, my car has two batteries and the vehicles issues (tailgate wasn't going up all the way, the SOS function was disabled, the auto On/Off function was disabled, etc.) were due to weak or dead battery. So it is evident that they didn't actually check both batteries, if they even knew there were two batteries to begin with! I took my vehicle to Chuck's because I live in Parkville and certainly wanted to support local business. But, they didn't know what they were doing or they simply didn't want to do the job for whatever reason. That'd be fine if that was the case, but they didn't have the stones to tell me. Rather, they just wasted my time. I won't return and if anyone asks for a recommendation, I will certainly recommend against Chuck's.

They never answer their phone when I tried to call them, they leave the vehicles they’re done working on in a tight-spaced lot that’s very hard to get out of, and they aren’t transparent about their prices. I had to go in twice for the same issue, and they tried to charge me the second time even though I payed the first time I came in. I’m giving two stars because their prices are good and cheap, and that’s all you pay for. Don’t expect high class service from these people

I cannot speak highly enough of Chuck's Parkville Garage! They got back quickly on quotes, were the best quote of 8(!) shops I polled, and provided exceptional / timely service at the quoted price. (They said my car would be ready for pickup same day -- and it was!). Their communication & responsiveness was unparalleled -- thank you, Christie & Cam!
