I had an abysmal experience with the toyota body shop in tyler. After hitting a pole and sustaining damage to the rear driver side door, I brought my vehicle in and was told via email by Gustavo that it would be “two weeks maximum”. As they worked on it they discovered additional damage that required a new part to be ordered so I was told it would be a little longer, which is understandable. The additional parts came in within half a week. They then kept my car for SIX WEEKS. Every time I called from week 3.5 onward they would say “it will be done next week”. Finally after 6 weeks I got a call at 4:30 pm that it was done and I could come get it. I called back to confirm what time the body shop closed and was told 6pm. I showed up at 5:35 and no one was there. Called the main sales area and was told that the body shop actually closed at 5:30, and to come back in the morning. I was now stranded 40 mins from home without a vehicle. After making enough of a fuss they called someone from the body shop in from home to give me my keys (thank you to Carrie from sales for making this happen). The body work looks good, but this place had horrific communication, poor customer service, and zero sense of urgency. Will absolutely not be bringing my car back here in the future for body work.

I'm revising my initial review. Our first experience wasn't satisfactory, but Gustavo, and his Manager, Drew immediately reached out to me. They looked at my car, admitted that it wasn't repaired properly, and offered to take care of it. They didn't argue, or point blame, but simply told me that it'd be taken care of. They even offered a rental, at no cost. I picked up my vehicle today, and it looked awesome. They stood by their word, and made things right. Customer service at its finest!

Please read…. This was an awful experience at this body shop, the staff was unprofessional and did a terrible job on our Lexus GX460, bolts were missing or not installed. I took pictures and emailed them to the Body Shop manager, he did not even reply or apologize for the poor work they did on our 60k automobile. I highly recommend you take your Toyota or Lexus to Longview or a much more reputable body shop.

Best experience I've ever had at a body shop, you would never know the whole side of my truck got caved in. Places like inside the door on the bottom side paint, metal work, seals, gaskets everything is perfect Edit: Nov 5th, 2024 was the day I called these "Professionals" Changed my rating after I brought my wife's Tahoe in to get a quarter sized paint chip fixed on the hood, I would never do this for myself but you know, the hood looks pretty good, after a few months I noticed someone started to strip the paint off my roof and noone would take responsibility for it i was told something crazy like I probably rubbed it on a tree or something ha ha ha, yes I dont have any wire brush trees in my yard that also chemically strip the paint at the same time when you drive under them I will have to seriously consider going somewhere else next time If you do go here, check everything on your car including places they had no business touching because apparently if they can get away with it for a few months they considering themselves non liable, like they have a statue of limitations for some goof ball that didn't read the work order EDIT 9/8/25 Just noticed the actual work that was supposed to be done in hood for some reason is looking weird in afternoon light see latest pictures

They do a great job on your car and the customer service reps are top notch They repainted our 2015 Camry LE and our friends thought we bought a new car. After that, they replaced the lower front plastic grill because of paint peeling off over time and retinted our rear window and were fast, inexpensive and professional. Marie Wade worked with me every step of the way and covered all my concerns. I highly recommend Classic Toyota body shop.
