Outstanding service and performance work! As a military veteran, CRE did an outstanding job on my classic camaro engine. Owner is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all forms of automobile and marine racing. Veteran owned and operated. Armed Forces friendly! Highly recommend! 🇺🇸👍🏻

Worst machine shop I have ever had the bad luck to give my business to. Charged over 300 for a simple wash and hone, took them three weeks, then I couldn’t pick it up because of their awful hours and opening dates. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST you NEVER take your engine or cylinder head here. Tallahassee Cylinder Heads will accomplish everything they can and more.

This guy will lie to you and tell you one price. And when you pick up your part, it will be double that price. And he takes double the time. Then he tells you definitely not recommended to take any machine props.Tiered to get work done.

Worst experience ever he lied to us and charged us for a service that was not done. My engine block wasn't washed or honed or bored like he charged me. Took several weeks to get anything done then was told my block was bad when guess what it wasn't took engine to another person and they said it was perfectly fine. Do not ever use this company. I was taken advantage of and he took money for services not rendered.

I called a week before I came in asking how much it would be to clean and mill cylinder heads. I was told $25 per head to clean and $45 per head to mill. Apparently fro $35 they will belt sand heads. So you can see, without knowing if either of my heads needed milling, I assumed I was looking at $150 max. When I was called and notified my heads were done, you can imagine my dismay when I was told the total would be near $300. Apparently instead of using a straight edge and feeler gauge, they pressure test to check for straightness, not something I was asked about, but I was charged $90 for. Why the manufacturers standard of .002" per 6" is no used, I have no idea. To add insult to injury there were huge globs of debris and gunk falling off the heads as I removed them from the bag. I don't know what they were cleaned with, but I could have accomplished the same (in less time) by filling my tub with simple green for less money. All anyone had to do was pick a few large deposits off so the head would be completely cleaned, but this attention to detail wasn't given. If I did it all over again, I would spend $100 on my own straight edge and compare factory specs, clean the heads at home, and take them here to ONLY get milled if need be. Doing anything else would be a waste of money. Why didn't I say anything at the time? The owner gave the impression he wasn't open to criticism and whatever was done was done, I didn't specify otherwise and I owed him his money. Also, a machine shops that probably averages hundreds or thousands on each sale and they take cash only? Too bad this is the only place in town to get heads machined for now.
