We were traveling from Massachusetts and shortly after crossing into Florida had a loud rattle from under our 2013 Toyota. We called the local Toyota dealer to see if we could bring it in to look at our vehicle. This was on a Wednesday and we were told that they could not get us in until at least Friday or we could stop by and maybe they might be able to squeeze us in but no guarantees and this was a good half hour plus ride from where we were staying. We wanted to leave Friday and the maybe we got from them was not something we wanted to hear. Our friends who recently just moved to Tallahassee and we were staying with knew of A+ Dealer Alternative though his daughter who has lived in that area for years and brings her car in to repair. So we call and we were told that at the end of the day that they were leaving to go on vacation but to bring the car buy and they will take a quick look at it to see if they could help. So we did and within five minutes the car was in the shop. In less than ten minutes they pulled the car out and told us that the heat shield bolt came loose and ended up making a bigger hole in the heat shield and all they had to do was to move the heat shield over and tighten up the bolt which they did. Eventually we would have to get a more permeant solution but for now it will work. So problem fixed, and the cost of this....zero, no charge. Being an out of towner with a problem that had to be fixed before we travelled on they could have soaked us but they did not. And by they way they were very friendly throughout the whole process. Really a pleasure doing business with them.

I was passing through Tallahassee over the Easter weekend, when my service engine light went on. I thought I might be stranded there for a day, but they were willing and able to look at my car right away. They were very honest with the problem, stating up front that it could be the ignition coil and/or the ignition control module. But after some investigating, they told me it was only the ignition coil, and had me on my way back on the interstate in about 2 hours after a quick repair. This is a small family owned business and a little hard to find because it's in the back of another building. I had a very good experience here and am thankful I found them.

I was having serious problems with my brakes and my parents had been to A+ so they recommended them to me. I brought my car in on a Friday afternoon and they called that night giving a ridiculously high quote and telling me the car wouldn't be ready until the following Wednesday. After talking to a friend of mine who is a mechanic, I realized they were seriously overcharging me and ended up taking my car to another place. They may do good work on some things, but don't take your vehicle in for any brake work.

What's not to like!? In most cases I am a DIY'er when it comes to maintaining my car. I have been a customer with A+ Dealer Alternative for approximately four years. I have had nothing but great experiences. In my opinion they have been fin-nominal in regards to their dedication to customer service, professionalism, honesty, and reasonable pricing with diagnosing/repairs of my car. They only make recommendations on parts that need to fixed/replaced immediately and other parts in the future that need to be taken care of. Highly recommended and I will continue to bring my car to them for things that I don't feel comfortable doing myself.

This is the best mechanic shop in the Big Bend bar none. They are honest and family run. I've taken vehicles from Toyotas, Ford's, GM, and Hondas. They've always done a great job. They aren't the cheapest but they are the best. You will save money versus going to the dealer and you know these folks are going to do what's right. Plus they have a friendly bull dog on staff wagging its tail waiting for you to say hello.

They are a great family who do a great job. We have taken our vehicles to them for five years or so and have not been disappointed with their honesty and persistence in fixing the problem. Their prices are not necessarily the lowest, but knowing that they are only fixing problems that really need fixing and giving honest advice about the others I think we come out ahead.

Knowledgeable mechanic, family owned and operated, honest and fair. They will let you know everything that is wrong with the vehicle, and they will tell you how important each issue is to get repaired. They just tell you how it is. It's up to you if you want to get the repairs, no pressure. If there is someone who does it better or cheaper or a service they don't offer, they let you know and aren't afraid to refer you. Bottom line: They want to be helpful and get your vehicle working properly. Check them out.

Right before Christmas break, my son’s (FSU student) car would not start. I live far away, but decided to have him try A+ based on their reviews. I’m so glad that I did! Mary Grace got us in 3 days before the break even though they were fully booked. They quickly determined the problem and had the car back to my son the following day. It saved our holiday, as he was supposed to be coming home for the first time in 6 months. I highly recommend this shop. They were quick and honest, which are 2 things that you rarely find anymore.

Craig and Mary Grace are top notch folks. They are honest, friendly, and simply good people. Their service is second to none and their prices are more than fair. What I appreciate about them most is that they tell you what's needed to fix the problem and nothing else. They might make other suggestions for preventative measures down the road, but they don't pressure you. They're not out to make any extra money on service. I am so glad we have an automotive repair facility in Tallahassee that considers honesty and integrity paramount. I have recommended many friends and family here and they have been just as happy. Wonderful honest folks. I live in Orlando and my daughter goes to FSU and her car broke down 30 miles from Tallahassee. I was in a major pinch and found these guys on Google and read their great reviews so I had her car towed to A+. The tech was able to diagnose the problem and my daughter drove away with her car like new after a small repair charge. If these folks were crooks they could have lied and said she needed a thousand dollar repair and I would have had no option but to pay it. Thanks so much A+ for your honesty and integrity!
