I was sent to Carlos by a friend whose VW Jetta had needed a lot of work. He said Carlos was terrific, and affordable! He is that and so much more - extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and very honest! I first went to him with my Acura Integra to see about changing the coolant in my air-conditioner. He asked if I really needed to, and showed me how to close off the ventilation exchange button when the a/c was running. It now cooled frigidly well - I didn't need to do a thing! A year ago, when the ABS went out and factory parts were no longer available from the Acura dealer, he oversaw my ordering a good condition used part from an online supplier, and installed it. It worked as good as new! The other day, I had a front axle replaced at a tire and tune shop, with an after-market part. It popped out of the transmission when I was on the freeway, kicking me out of 5th gear to neutral! It was replaced, but as soon as I drove off the lot, the dash ABS light came on continuously. The Acura service manager at first said there was no connection between the two problems. But Carlos knew right off there was - there was an ABS sensor in the axle - IF it was the right part, connected, and not damaged. His computer tester verified that it wasn't connected. He advised me to take it back to the other mechanic, showing him the tester code, saving the money I would have had to pay him to fix it - when he had time a few days later. It turned out the other place had installed an axle without an ABS sensor, and had to order yet a 3rd part! But it was finally corrected. Carlos has a garage bay inside a used car dealership on W. Commonwealth, but don't let appearances fool you! Carlos is first-rate, honest, and extremely experienced and knowledgeable!

He makes you wait days before he even takes a proper look at the vehicle. He only tells you what needs to be repaired. He doesn't explain anything or why, so it's impossible to make an informed decision. If you are skeptic, he'll let you drive off and let the car fall apart. He misdiagnosed my car. He said the noise was coming from the transmission. I got a second opinion from a transmission specialist, and they said it was the clutch. When I told him about my second opinion, he tried to discredit them. He wanted to replace my entire transmission with a used one from a pick a part junkyard. Instead I chose to just have the clutch replaced under warranty, and have the transmission rebuilt from my transmission specialist. So, he replaced the clutch for free under warranty. Then... He watched me drive off the lot with a brand new clutch knowing that transmission fluid would leak all over it thereby destroying it. All he said to me was, "You need to get it fixed." He didn't explain the severity of the problem. If I would have known then I would not have driven the car; I would have had it towed. I forgot to mention that he did some minor repairs (air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires) in the past without my authorization and billed me. I could have done those easy fixes myself at a fraction of the cost.

I had my brakes serviced at Complete AUTO on by an older Asian man who could barely speak English. After I had the brakes serviced they would make the screeching noise. Went back there to see what happened to my brakes and the Asian man said it wasn't them who make the brakes squeak! That the brakes will brake into and stop the noise. Never went back and never will go back to such a cheap place! He didn't care didn't offer to hear the brakes, didn't offer to replace, didn't offer anything! DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE SHOPS they will load your car with Cheap junk. Haven't gone in years and am happier, everything runs smooth.

I have been coming here for many years. This review is long overdue. Carlos is the best mechanic you will find. I do not take my cars anywhere else. My husband has learned the hard way as he thought going with the cheapest person was best, but in the long run he ended up spending more money than if he would have just taken it to Carlos. He has reasonable pricing and is honest. He won’t have you fixing things that don’t need to be done and he will be straightforward with you. I highly recommend Carlos for any and all your mechanics needs. You will not be dissatisfied.
