Came to Costco tire service to pick up my car after getting 4 tires replaced. I was helped by one of their service technicians named Jason. I had a pleasant experience as he was very professional and addressed my concerns and questions. Highly recommend him.

I’ve been a regular Costco customer but this tire center disappoints me. I bought four tires online and drove to my appointment. The tire center was super hard to get into due to the crowd for the grocery and the cars at the gas station were blocking the entrance. When I was finally able to park, there was a long line at the counter with only one assistant who came out occasionally. After it’s finally my turn, the assistant said because it’s now 20 minutes past my appointment time, they can’t install the tire today and need to reschedule. I was a disappointed but rescheduled to another day. Then today I drove to the new appointment again, 15 minutes early. But the front desk said they couldn’t find my appointment in their system. They said they need to reschedule my appointment again. I understand they’re busy and there is nothing they can do. But what a huge waste of time it is…So I gave up and returned my tires.

So bad experience, probably will keep away from costco tires in the future. I didn’t complain about waiting 1.5 hours for a tire rotation. This time, booked an appointment for tire repair, and was told must be replaced because the nail was close to edge. That’s Okay but I was told they run out of that tire and the order took several days. Then they told me Santa Clara store had it in stock. I went there but couldn’t do the installation because I didn’t have the appointment there. So I bought the tire and brought it back to Sunnyvale store. They refused to do the installation because the appointment time had passed. What could I do better? They wanted me to drive with the bad tire for another a few days? Luckily the leak was slow and I could still drive around. What would happen if a flat tire? So bad. The perks you get from costco are only the free rotation etc. But when you really need the service in urgent, they will not stand by you. There are other stores I believe providing similar perks and a lot of more could solve your issue in no time. What worths more, I need some serious reconsideration.

I had an appointment for tire rotation and balance. Came to the tire center 10 minutes early to find no one tending the counter. Waited 10 minutes to finally check in. Went to the store to do some shopping and came out an hour later to find the car still not touched. At America’s Tire I would have been in and out in 39 minutes.

I booked an appointment for tire rotation and went there on time. The shop told me that I needed to wait one and half hours. I checked their computer screen that my appointment was half an hour. I said I made appointment and one and half hour for tire rotation was too long. They said there were a few people ahead of you. Then what is the point of appointment? They said then I can reschedule the appointment. But it will be the same problem, right? I simply left. FYI: I looked it up on google and it says it takes about 15 - 30 minutes for tire rotation. So Costco, Please make your appointment system work and be respectful of customers' time.

It sucks. Came twice, since the 2hour delay in first appointment. For the second appointment, wait 30 mins until someone talked to me. After waiting 3 hours, received the call that service is done. If your time is precious, do not try this site.

They have no sense of time management. Broken appointment system (you’ll wait 90-120min after your scheduled appointment for them to start working on your car), rude service staff - absolutely terrible experience.

This review is about the calling experience. I called the Sunnyvale Costco customer service line and selected the tire center department, but every time I got redirected back to the main menu. I tried probably more than 10 times. eventually, I tried the number for Costco tire center, and after a few tries it finally worked. The lady who helped me was super informative and helpful. I just wish someone would pick up the phone when I call Costco. customers should not have been redirected back to the main menu after waiting for a few seconds. I don’t mind waiting in the line for one hour if there are people in front of me. But redirecting people back to the main menu gives no chance to reach customer service.

If you just need a battery you need to wait in line as a walk in for a tire appointment, makes a simple in and out trip into a very long wait. Overall Costco's battery warranty is industry standard and their prices are only slightly below Walmart and other conventional auto parts stores. I wouldn't recommend going here to pick up a battery. I did spend ~25 minutes waiting in line and saw how the tire shop operated, I wasn't impressed. Many people who came in with appointments were told their tires hadn't come in yet, and they either had to reschedule their appointment or the sales rep would see if they had a different tire on hand which the customer hadn't initially ordered.

Gave them the correct tire size when I booked the appointment, but they didn’t have the tires when I showed up. They promised to order them and have them by Monday. I called Monday, only to find out they had never placed the order. Now I’m told I have to wait until Friday. They also said they'd call me to schedule installation once the tires arrived. I never received a call. When I followed up, the same employee who said he'd call me acted confused and then backtracked, claiming he had passed the task to a coworker. When I finally got in a week later, the install was quick, but the alignment was so bad it made the car unsafe to drive. Unprofessional, disorganized, and not worth the hassle.

The experience is so bad that I already state that I don’t have the key card and even give them permission to access to my car with either my phone or a link. But they just keep saying that it cannot be done multiple times and kick us out

Don’t come here! My appointment was at 2.30. It is now 3.30 and my car is still sitting outside waiting to be worked on. As others have commented, what’s the point of an appointment if you can’t get to it even after an hour? The rest of Costco is such a delight. Wonder why they have this island of incompetence? I should have read the reviews before I came here. I hope you read mine.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. Jefferey, a short, long-haired worker, was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. His attitude made the entire process frustrating, and he ignored my questions rather than assisting me. I had ordered tires a week in advance and scheduled my appointment for 12:00 pm today. When I arrived, I was told that the correct tire number was noted, but the wrong size had been ordered in the system. Thankfully, they happened to have the right size in stock. To make things worse, despite my scheduled appointment, my car wasn’t even started on until 1:25 pm. What is the point of making an appointment if the service doesn’t begin on time? I regret not going to the Mountain View location, which has always provided better service even though it’s further away. This will be the first and last time I use this location.

They installed tires but didn’t bleed off from 55 psi to the appropriate level which puts tires at risk. This is significantly higher than the appropriate level of 35 psi

I strictly come to Costco for all my house hold automotive batteries. They have the best warranties in the biz through interstate. They only have two full time attendants serving a full line of customers out the door. Hard working but really should have one more back up service to serve the walk-ins or battery replacement. It’s about 40min wait.

I made an appointment the day before and stood in the appointment line, yet the staff member rudely asked if I had an appointment. There was no courtesy or customer service. I dropped my car off at 11:30 a.m., was told it would take 1–1.5 hours, and it wasn’t ready until 1:30 p.m. Very disappointing and not the service I expect from Costco.

Great prices, good quality, but horrible wait times. I've been here a handful of times and the wait and line management have always been consistently poor. Just today I dropped the car off with an appointment. There were 4 people waiting in the "walk-in" line and 0 people with a customer being served in the "appointments line". I can't control the difficult customer ahead of me, but the staff should have called me next. Instead I waited 20m just to drop my keys off...would have been quicker being in the "walk-in" line The "free" Road Hazard protection is what made the price difference, but doesn't seem like such a bargain considering the time it'd take. Hell, last time I bought a battery here it took 20+ minutes and it wasn't even busy

At first I was gonna give a bad review to the tire location but everything changed real fast! I arrived at the tire department around 3:30, and there was only one employee assisting customers at the time. Miguel, who was helping, was moving very slowly, and one customer ahead of me was extremely indecisive. As a result, the five people in front of me became visibly anxious and frustrated. I personally don’t mind waiting, but the tension in the line was uncomfortable, especially knowing there are usually more than one person assigned to the tire department. At one point, another employee asked Miguel if he needed help, and unfortunately he declined. Out of pride, he insisted he had it under control, even though the line continued to grow and customers were clearly upset. Eventually, I asked if someone else could assist, and thankfully Yudeli stepped in. She truly saved the day. As soon as she arrived, the line began moving quickly and efficiently. Her professionalism and sense of urgency completely changed the experience. I was initially prepared to leave a one-star review due to Miguel’s service, but because of Yudeli’s excellent customer care and efficiency, I’m giving this location five stars. I chose not to let the rating reflect Miguel’s performance today—Yudeli absolutely held it down.
