I visited the store to get my car battery checked which I had installed recently and wasn't sure if I did it right. The store owner quoted $200 for battery check and just politely asking if they could offer a discount irked them, instead of just saying No they gave me a lecture on how I am disrespecting their skills and expertise (by just asking if they offer discounts). Based on researching the internet, it seems the price was way above any other place and the second person I called, did this in half the cost (and had even better google reviews). Even the dealerships, charge $225 for battery change, I would recommend researching a bit before blindly trusting the place.

This is my first time here and I would like to share my good experiences here. I was searching for a Mercedes Benz auto but many of them not really nice like this. I was asking 4 places just for changing my rear breaks but I feel like they were overpriced because I changed my front brakes in Burlingame before and it was only $3xx something. But other shops told me like $800-$1000 even though they wouldn’t change my disc brakes. So I did another research and I’m glad I found it here. The owner took care of my car very nice. I asked for the price and very reasonable so I asked him to change my Auxiliary battery too and he did diagnose for my car and it turned out I had to change my main battery too. I know that my car had something wrong for a while so I don’t mind to change them at all. I did 3 things and the price is really reasonable. I paid only $1,195 for all of them and my car drives so smooth. My engine is more quiet. I have to thank you to the owner for taking care of my car. Also he changed my car key battery for free. This is the best place for Mercedes Benz. I really recommend to come here. Clean and nice shop.

Quick, reliable, and reasonably priced! John is very knowledgeable and was very transparent when servicing my vehicle. Response time is pretty quick and he got back to me whenever he got the chance. I had been to several mechanics in the Bay Area, but John, is the best so far. I went to his shop because of his outstanding reviews, and I definitely agree with everyone. I will never go to an MBZ dealership even for a diagnostic test. You can definitely trust John, just the first time meeting him. There's no hidden agenda. I get VERY anxious when it comes to car issues/malfunctions, and when my car engine started to act up, I was stranded and needed to find a mechanic ASAP. I googled Mercedes Benz around the Mountain View area and this was the first shop I ended up calling. From the start, John (the owner) was so great, he gave me instructions on what to do, how to get my car to his shop and from there, I feel like he treated me as if I was a friend or family. I read all the reviews prior and I could see firsthand, how honest and considerate he really is. Thank you John for giving me all the car advice and taking care of my car, I will be a customer for as long as you’re open!

He'll talk you through your options like someone who is looking for a long term relationship, not just trying to make a buck on the transaction. He's a rare breed for sure and his work is rock solid. Mercedes of Sunnyvale has been great for me over the years. While the shop owner, John, focuses on Mercedes, I trust him with all my vehicles. He changed the clutch in my Jeep Cherokee, has fixed an AC issue in both my Toyota Avalon and my girlfriend's Lexus G460, and handles any/all needs in my daily driver. I work on cars as a hobby but do not have time to work on my family's daily driver cars. I always take them to John and have peace of mind the work will be done and done right.

had real negative experience with this shop. The guy gave me a quote for $6000 + and my insurance evaluated and eventually another shop fixed everything for me for $520!!!! Quite rude guy as well.

We contacted this shop in order to find out what it would cost to have a diagnostic performed on our Mercedes. After quoting a price of $260 per hour (the dealership and other locations for foreign cars charge way less), we were still going to just pay it without calling other shops. When we were ready to book the diagnostic test, we asked if the cost of the diagnostic is rolled into the price of the repair, if we choose to proceed with the suggested repairs done by his shop. Keep in mind, rolling the price of the diagnostic into the price of the repair is a common practice by a large majority of shops, including the one we decided to use. Instead of just answering no, John proceeded to rudely lecture about how he has never provided this type of accommodation and he wouldn't be starting it today. This guy said this as if we were asking him for free services when, in reality, we were just trying to have a full understanding of what we were paying for and what we should expect to pay for moving forward. I don't know who hurt him but it has resulted in absolute rudeness before we ever set foot in his shop. I can definitely say he did us a favor because his rudeness forced us to do some additional research and find out that he is one of the highest priced locations in the area for this particular service. (Specifics: We were able to book with a different shop for $210 per hour diagnostic and if we proceed with getting the repair done at that shop, the diagnostic fee is waived. Based on the reviews, I would assume he actually does excellent work and may even be trustworthy. But I can't speak to either of these based on my personal encounter. I truly hope no one else has a run in with this owner, but for those who appreciate great customer service when you start spending over a certain amount of money, this may not be your best option. Take a minute to call around, even if you manage to have a more positive initial encounter. I think he should consider hiring someone to answer the phones and handle customers because that is definitely not his strong point.
