I just went in to try to get my "free" tire pressure check that they offer. They had two bays open, three guys "working", slowly, and they told me I would need to wait 5-10 minutes before they could check my tire pressure. Then they proceeded to saunter around the cars in there and chat with each other. Really Costco? Not like you. I've never before had a bad experience with Costco Tire Center before, but this was a pretty sour experience.

Avoid these guys- Wish I could say this was embellished, at least my customer service experience would’ve been better but here goes: long-time tire customer here (2 sets for same car in last 6 years). Came in for appointment/ flat repair, was told it couldn’t be repaired- very odd a simple screw 2 inches away from sidewall. They wanted me to buy an entire new set of 4 tires. Asked for tire back went straight to Discount tire, they repaired it within 45 minutes (I was 5th in line- these guys work hard). They refused to charge even though it was a Costco tire - bought entire shop a round of energy drinks!! Happy ending

I came here for two reasons: my tire had a leak, and I was missing some lug nuts. They tried and couldn't find the leak, and then they told me they didn't have any lug nuts to sell me and I shouldn't come back until I get some. So coming here was not a good use of time.

Prices are the best around but the service is lacking any form acceptability. Ordered tires for me, only to be told while they were installing them that they wouldn't work for my truck since it needed a higher load index, which isn't their fault, but never mentioned it when I asked them to order the tires. They recommended another one that would qork but could not order them at that time since Michelin's ordering system was down (seems to be a common occurrence), so I order them online later that night. When installing the new ones, they stripped one of the studs on my truck, I asked them if they would be replacing it since it was not in that condition when they got it. I was told they would ask the tire manager but they were not around, and was told my the tech that if it was up to him he would just say no because it's a "regular maintenance item" even after I pointed out to them that they were the only ones to have removed the wheel in the last month. Needless to say after having them recommended to me by various people in my life, I can't say for sure if I would ever use them again when replacing my tires on any of my vehicles nor would I recommended them based of my experience thus far.

Got a set of tires here two weeks ago. Had to go to a different Costco during my road trip because all of my tires were out of balance. Turns out there was oil on the lug nuts and they never cleaned the hubs, which is dangerous! Ended up missing my dinner, getting a rock in the windshield which put a huge crack in it, and the manager at this Costco was reluctant to give me the difference in price after they announced free installation! Go to discount tire! At least they back up what they sell!

I had some snow tires and wheels that I wanted to put on the car. I'd gotten them from a different place. There was a $40 charge to put on my snow tires and wheels and take the old regular tires and wheels off. I made the appointment and we went in. Got a text message that they needed to talk to me. Found out that my snow tires and wheels had American racing rims that required a certain spacer which I didn't have and they didn't have. The refunded my $40 and told me how to order this spacer. In the meantime I bought some lug nuts from them for because my lug nuts had gotten bad. They were very good about helping informing me about what I needed and how to go about it

The total for the damages that Costco caused to my vehicle included 79.95 for an initial diagnosis of the damage, 364.23 for a new wheel hub assembly, 22.41 for new lug nuts, and 197.31 of labor costs, bringing the total up to 663.90. I then went back into Costco and they tried to write me a check for 137 dollars claiming that was all they owed for the damages, after clearly not understanding the invoice or mechanics of a vehicle at all. The assistant supervisor of Costco was trying to argue price with me for 30 minutes in front of everyone. I then called the mechanic who did the repairs to clarify some things for the store, which he did. Then the assistant manager of Costco tried to just pay me for the lug nuts, and the wheel hub assembly, which brings that total to 386.64, approximately 277.26 short from what they actually owed me for labor and the initial inspection costs also. At this point I had been there for an hour and needed to go to work so I left to come back the next day. The next day I set the check on the desk and said I needed to speak to the manager about this because I’m still short money from the damage that Costco caused. Fredrico snow then came out from the back and then proceeded to try to tell me that Costco doesn’t cover the labor charge or the initial invoice and tried to tell me I already got paid for what damage was done which was grossly incorrect. I told him at that point I am not leaving until I get a check for 277.26 for my labor and initial inspection costs. He then went to talk to the manager (who never actually came to see me as requested). He came back and tried to tell me they “never do this” but is going to pay me for the labor costs but not the initial inspection and said “why is that on there, why can’t they just fix the damage?” Initial inspections from a mechanic are standard procedures literally anywhere you go, and take time which costs money. I then told him, “I’m not leaving this store until I get paid for the labor costs and the initial invoice costs for damage that you guys caused to my vehicle, and then told me that you would repair in writing. If I don’t get a check for everything, I’m going to drive straight down to the county courthouse and sue the store in small claims court with no lawyers allowed and get my money and then you will have to pay my filing fees as well.” He then went to go talk to his manager AGAIN and left me waiting for 30 minutes before finally coming back with a check for everything and then proceeded to actually have the nerve to tell me, the customer who was wronged that “the conversation is over after this.” As if anyone in that shop had any leg to stand on to tell me that the conversation is over. They then tried to give me a release of liability form to fill out which would waive my right to a lawsuit if I wanted to pursue one, but gave me this AFTER I received my check (LMAO). Normally you would give the check to me after you get me to sign a release of liability form. Instead I took my check and promptly threw that form in the trash. That tire shop is so beyond inept at doing the simple things correctly and then wronged me multiple times after damaging my vehicle. The fact that they were trying to save a few hundred bucks on a customer who they wronged (I also spend 10k+ a year at Costco) and never got an apology for once for any misunderstanding at all, tells you all you need to know. Go literally anywhere else for your tire needs. They can’t do anything right here.

Great customer-oriented service Here! Last week I came here to order 4 new tires for my car, as my car dealer services suggested me to replace my car tires, and Costco also has discount on tires sale, so I ordered 4 new tires for replacement. Every step goes pretty smoothly, they explained everything patiently to me and ordered for me. When I dropped my car at the tire center for replacing tires, the technician, Kelvin uninstalled the old tires, checked them and asked me any special reason I want to replace them. I said I am not sure if I have to replace, just because dealer suggested so and meanwhile there's discount. He then told me my tires are in great shape and can last for longer time based on his inspection. I really appreciate his frank, objective and honest suggestion to me (a customer who knows little about tires). Then He installed back my old tires and some paper work form to help me get the refund in full amount. He also spent time to show me how to check tires, and suggested me to do rotation, told when I really should change my tires. He shows the great quality of service----professional, honest, customer-oriented! Of course every people was very nice during all the processes: order, schedule, technical, refund. All of these made me trust this place! I definitely will come back when I really need to change my tires.

The Costco Tire Service Center offers tire replacement services, as well as leak detection and repair. The service center is conveniently located on the left side of the Costco store.

I highly recommend Discount Tire over Costco. They will price match and have a wider selection. When you schedule an appointment at Costco, tire rotation for example, the appointment time doesn’t mean anything. They may not start working on your vehicle for an hour. Other shops, if you show up at your scheduled time they prioritize your vehicle. Simple tire rotations take an absurd amount of time. Costco also doesn’t have a waiting area.

I like Costco Tire for a lot of reasons. The only thing places like Discount Tire do better is inform you of your tread depth. Costco doesn't tell you, when you ask, they don't know and they don't notate. How are you supposed to make an informed decision on a fairly expensive purchase? I, for one, like specific tires they never have in stock, so if I waited, I'd be out of luck and have to come back. What a waste of everyone's time. It would be great if they told you your current depth or at least do what everyone else does and put it in it paperwork.

Didn't have a good experience. Had a puncture in one of my tires, took it to Costco tire center. Charged me $11 and said it's unrepairable and the tire has to be replaced and gave me a quote for $550 for 2 front tires. Took it to Les Schwab and they fixed it just in 10 mins that too free of cost and told me that it was very much repairable. Didn't expect this from Costco.

Didn't have the tires I ordered on the date they told me to show. Had to buy a more expensive tire and they wouldn't cover the difference.

1 star. They said they would text me when my car was ready. 4 hours later, nothing... Went in, they said my car was done 2.5 hours ago. I tried calling.. Nobody answers the phone. Awful. I would not go back.

Highly recommend here. Trouble with the slow leak of one tire for a long time. The store manager "Joe" is super friendly, professional, and helpful to set up an appointment next day, troubleshooting and get this long-lasting trouble resolved without charge(tires bought at Costco). Really appreciated for the help!!

I would give a worse rating I would never buy tires here again. Service is not their strong point. You have to make circles inside the store just to wait in line at their tire area. They need a check in area just for tires. What's the point of having an appointment if they do not stick to the times. Save yourself some time and go to Les Schabb at least they would include an alignment.

Made an appointment. Then got quoted an hour and a half for completing. Came back was told another 45 minutes. We had an appointment. We would of made arrangements to drop the car off if they were honest with us. Then acted like it was our fault for not getting time range because the time frame quote is not accurate. Whats the point of an appointment?

After a failed attempt to have my tires rotated at a different location, I called the Hillsboro Costco to schedule an appointment for later in the week. Johnothan answered the phone and said he could do my rotation same-day! I appreciated how willing he was to make things right. Highly recommend buying your tires here and getting them serviced!

Most reviews I've come across about this Costco tire center aren't good. So I was pleasantly surprised that my experience was GREAT! I went in on a Saturday to ask about tires, found what I needed, and was scheduled for an appointment the following day Sunday. I called to reschedule and someone picked up right away. It turned out I was able to go Sunday, and I was able to get my original appointment day/time back. I arrived at my appointment time and service was done in 1 hrs 15 mins. All in all appealing very pleasant experience. Thanks Tire Center team!

2h 45m job that should’ve been an hour. I’m highly disappointed in Costco today. I usually love going there and consider myself a pretty reasonable person, but my patience was really tested this time. Here’s what happened: I showed up with my phone uncharged and told the technician I didn’t have my Costco card because it was on my phone. I planned to charge it right after dropping the car off. No problem, right? I went inside, charged my phone, and enjoyed my usual Costco routine. After about 1 hour and 45 minutes, I checked in, figuring my car had to be close to done. Turns out, it hadn’t even been started. The reason? They were waiting on my approval for the repair, the same repair I came in specifically to get done. What’s frustrating isn’t just the delay; it’s that no one even tried to call me. A quick phone call would’ve cleared things up easily. I’m glad they eventually called me the second time, but after 2 hours and 45 minutes, “sorry for the delay” didn’t quite cut it. Still, I love Costco overall. I just hope next time the service center remembers that communication goes a long way. On the bright side, I got to know all the product demonstrators name.
