I have had Curt and his mechanics service my car for many years. Always honest and pricing is fair and reasonable. Always straight with me in what actually needs to be done, what does NOT need to be done and what I should consider down the road. I've been other places for brakes, oil change and factory recall work, and those places always try to tell me I need other things doen, and for high dollar amounts, then I go to Curt's and get the straight story and far better pricing.

My truck had been having issues and sounded bad; soon after a daytime running light burnt out. After four appointments with the dealership, nothing is fixed. A family member recommended Curt and Helen Auto repair. This place identified that the dealership had not only neglected the repairs, the general services were never being completed. They addressed every issue in a fast and competent manner. When addressing the light, the wrong part was accidentally ordered and the stock part was going to cost more and took longer to arrive. When it did arrive, I was only changed the original quoted price which was much cheaper. This is my new go-to mechanic. I cannot emphasize the quality and honesty of their work.

I really wanted to leave a great review because the gentleman I spoke with was friendly and seemed trustworthy at first. But overall, I left feeling stuck and disappointed. I brought my car in because my back brakes were squeaking. I explained I was on a tight budget and needed to know the cost before deciding. He told me he couldn’t estimate because prices change daily due to tariffs and that some parts now cost triple. I was worried and said I needed to think about it. He said he’d need to inspect the brakes first to give me a real estimate and promised there would be no charge for this. I agreed and left the car. A few hours later, he called and quoted me $980 for pads and brakes — about half the value of my car. I told him I couldn’t commit right away and needed time to sort out the money. Then he said I’d have to pay $250 just to get my car back if I didn’t do the work there. When I reminded him he’d promised no charge for the check, he said that only applied if I agreed to the repair. After a long pause, he offered me 10% off if I paid immediately. In the end, I did the work and the brakes were replaced properly — so credit for that. But I wish the inspection cost had been made clear from the beginning, especially since I mentioned my budget concerns upfront. I respect the owner and the work done, but I strongly recommend asking for all costs in writing before you leave your car, so you don’t feel stuck later.
