Have been taking our cars, because we have had several different ones, to Dan's D and D tire shop for five years and he has always taking good care of us !!! We moved across town and there are several Goodyear shops between our house and his shop, but wouldn't dare take our vehicles anywhere else. Great owner, great mechanics!!!

I brought my 2014 Nissan Rogue here for a set of squealing back brakes. After inspecting the car, they confirmed that the back disc brakes needed to be replaced. I was assured (by Doug) that the front brakes were fine and a non-issue. The front ones were still at 7mm (out of 9), while the back ones were at 3mm. I discussed the quote with my husband, and we agreed to have the work done. We picked up the car early that afternoon, happy to have it in-and-out and be done with the nuisance of squeaky brakes. Only we weren’t done with it. After driving to pick up the kids from school, I discovered the brakes were still squealing. We brought the car back in. Customer Rep told us it takes about 100 miles for new brakes to be “broken in”, and to come back in a couple days if we were still having a problem. We drove the car over the weekend (300 miles), but the squealing just got worse. My husband brought it back in on Monday, and the mechanics said the brakes had glazed over. They de-glazed the brakes (and rotors), and sent him on his way. But the problem didn’t go away. Husband went back in on Tuesday where he was asked to ride around with a mechanic to demonstrate what he was hearing; it took all of a block for the brakes to start squealing and the mechanic to agree, yes, he heard the same thing. They set up an appointment for him to come back in later that day to have another set of brakes put on. After that appointment, he didn’t even make it home before the brakes were squealing again. He called and spoke to Doug to give him a head’s up, and to let him know that if the problem continued we wanted a refund. Doug flat out told him that IT WASN’T THE NEW BRAKES SQUEAKING. He insisted that it wasn’t possible; that he put better brakes on this time. What the hell? So they put the crappy ones on first and cross their fingers they work out? Then he tried to say his mechanic had heard noise from the front and it was probably the front brakes…the front brakes he had insisted were fine just 7 days prior! Plus, really? Your mechanic says there was noise coming from the front, but you just go ahead, eat the cost, and replace the back ones. Ya, right. Thankfully the squealing has (finally) stopped; we heard the last noise at 33 miles in and are currently 300+ miles in. We chose to use a mechanic (rather than have my husband do the repair like he normally would) because I am 6 months pregnant, we are a one-car family right now, and I am an Uber driver. So, basically, I needed it done ASAP. We chose D&D for their online reviews which promoted them as fast, competent, and fair. Thus the reason I am posting this; hopefully my review will save someone else the headache we experienced dealing with this place. Were they fast? Sure – all FIVE times my car had to be brought up there for the same problem. Were they competent? Well, my brakes finally aren’t squealing after three tries. Were they fair? Hmmm, neither my husband or I got an apology, or even acknowledgment, for the wasted time and effort we had to put in; no one ever admitted this isn’t the way it should go; and they actually tried to tell us it was a different problem altogether. But, hey, they honored the warranty and got a new set of brakes on. Because they did the work, and because my brakes are no longer squealing, I chose 2-star instead of 1. FYI, for all the reviews that say their prices are reasonable - we paid $288.96 for this service, $167 of which was for labor/service/shop supplies on a job that took less than 30 minutes. Also, when I asked Doug about a set of new tires for a BMW 328xi we are considering buying – he told me $1,200…if we wanted to do it “right” for that kind of a car. My husband would be using it to commute, not to street race. At any rate, Goodyear still sells a high quality, sport performance tire for that car that costs $122 – so $488 for a set. Add in tax, and you are still looking at less than half of Doug’s “quote”. Imagine that.

This place is awesome. I have been there twice and both times been blown away. Had no idea that an automotive experience could be this easy or feel like someone isn't trying to up sell me. I want to tell everyone I know to go there. Fast, easy, clean, friendly and saved me a lot of money. Special thanks to Doug, Jose and Shawn. Elizabeth
