I gave Mike the owner $2000.00 to fix my car that needed an ECM. Car still NOT fixed had to get it towed away from there after 3 months of being lied to! He could not provide any receipts on the purchase of the ECM after I’ve asked him several times. He broke the agreement we had on paying him $2000.00 and that was for a supposedly new ECM, and Programming it! He stopped answering my calls and only wanted to text. Everytime I went there I was told a different lie as to why my car wasn’t fixed. My car stayed over there for over 3 months after coming from another shop. He was the one who told me he could fix my car and for me to have it towed to him. If he couldn’t fix it all he had to say was he couldn’t. After several lies I told him I wanted my money back then he came up with all kinds of excuses about he had to pay this and that to try to program my car that never worked which was not in the agreement we had. $2000.00 was for everything. I have receipts, text messages and voicemails of our conversations. Everytime I went there to check on my car, it was always give me until Monday, give me until Friday, this person didn’t show up, that person didn’t show up! Like REALLY! This went on over 3 months until I started asking for my $2000.00 back! I would have been ok with half of my money back. He still hasn’t provided me with no receipts on the cost of a USED ECM which was “suppose” to be new free and clear of any numbers in it as agreed upon. He went to the junk yard and got the ECMS which I could have done if I knew he was going to rip me off like he did! This was my first time dealing with him and DEFINITELY MY LAST! He talked a good game but the whole time I was being lied to and ripped off. They are thieves and if you don’t want to be ripped off or lied to then I advise you to take your car somewhere else because Dads Garage is NOT IT! $2000 gone down the drain and my car is still NOT FIXED! I would give ZERO stars if I could because business is not to rip people off! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU WANT IT FIXED! I also had him put breaks on one of my other cars while I was waiting to get my car fixed which never did, and I paid him $300 for front and back breaks. I had to end up taking it to the dealer because they kept squealing and my rotors needed to be turned! I took back to Dads Garage several times in one day to see why and they kept telling my rotors was good….REALLY My CAR IS SQUEALING SIR!!!! If you’re going to do breaks do the COMPLETE break job! I had to end up paying the dealer another $150.00 to turn my rotors on the front because Dads Garage just slapped the breaks on and called it a break job!

**WARNING** Absolute rip off. Scammed hard working family out of a serious amount of money. After charging almost $4000.00 to fix the transmission and 4 attempts, he was unable to fix the problem or offer a reasonable explanation as to why he couldn't. He just kept guessing. After two tow bills and two months of my company vehicle being out of service, I ended up having to have my vehicle towed to another shop. The next shop charged only half Mike's cost and had my vehicle repaired and back to me in 4 days.. Keep looking. I do not know how "Mike the mechanic" sleeps at night.. This entrie experience was a nightmare. KEEP LOOKING!

The mechanics and office staff of Dad's Garage treats me like I am intelligent and an equal. Beware of Dad’s Garage in Rock Hill, SC I brought my Ford Flex to Dad’s Garage after being recommended to them for a small leak in my internal water pump. They assured me they could complete the repair with no issues, and because they prefer cash or Cash App, I paid in cash. When I picked up my vehicle, it immediately drove horribly and was making awful noises NONE of which existed when I dropped it off. It wasn’t loud, rough, or struggling before they touched it. The owner claimed the issue was my transmission fluid and convinced me to pay an additional $175 for a flush. After that, the car drove even worse. It slipped between 40–60 mph, struggled to accelerate, and felt unsafe. I then took my car to a different mechanic who discovered that Dad’s Garage failed to properly adjust my serpentine belt and did not replace the guide. I was told it would cost $3,500 to take apart the vehicle and redo the entire job with no guarantee the engine would recover after a month of being driven in that damaged state. I returned to Dad’s Garage with these findings, and they refused responsibility, insisted their work was correct, became rude, and would not guarantee or correct their mistakes. After researching further, I learned this shop has a history of behavior like this including abandoning a previous location due to multiple complaints about scamming customers. I highly urge anyone to avoid this business even for something as simple as an oil change. They are not professional, they do not stand behind their work, and because they demand payment in cash, it becomes extremely difficult to seek refunds or accountability. Save yourself the stress, money, and damage go anywhere else.

Highly recommend Mike the mechanic!!! Mike was extremely up front about everything my ford edge needed done to keep it safely drivable for me and kept me up to date with anything extra he found that would affect my final cost. He picked my car up and dropped it back off for me and his prices are the best around!!! Thank you Mike for getting my ford edge drivable again & going above and beyond with amazing service!!
