We work on firetrucks and on this truck the damper drives the fire pump. The damper failed and we weren't finding a replacement. Anything close was $1500+. They were able to rebuild the original to as good as new for a fraction of the price. Great service and quick turn around time.

I have been very pleased with the service I have received from the quick e-mail reply's to my questions and the friendly help over the phone. I placed my order to purchase a rebuilt damper for the '53 Chevy I am working on. They said it would be built on Thursday and shipped out when it was done. Saturday morning came and the postman delivered it! Very pleased with the quality of the work, it fit exactly like it should and looked great! I will tell everyone I know about this business and I look forward to future encounters down the road.

I have a 1955 Packard 400 2 door Coupe , that had its harmonic balancer rebuilt a few years back when I was having the engine rebuilt . As you can imagine , there are no aftermarket balancers available , nor are there any NOS balancers out there unless one is in a barn or on an old parts shelf forgotten about . The only option was to have the original remanufactured . They sent it back to my restoration shop . It looked and functioned like brand new ! Thank you Damper Doctor ! Vincent Consolo

I couldn't find a new harmonic balancer for the Granada engine in my vintage Econoline van, so I contacted Damper Doctor. I emailed them but didn't hear back, so I gave them a call and he had a rebuilt damper in stock! He was super nice and the balancer showed up quickly and was perfect. I sent my old one back and got the refund for the core pretty quickly, as well. I definitely recommend Damper Doctor and, I myself, will be a repeat customer, I'm sure!

John did an outstanding job for me rebuilding the Harmonic Balancer "HB" aka Damper on my 1973 Chevrolet Corvette 350ci, numbers matching, original engine. Today, many people do not understand, nor can define the word, integrity--John has integrity & experience. To present, I have worked in the legal field thirty-two (32) years; and, before contracting with another, I present questions: Some silly, others less silly, to me all important. In my opinion, John understands the importance of doing an excellent job for each individual customer; you might ask, how do you know? Well, first, John was not in a hurry to answer ALL of my questions; what's more, John educated me elaborating on the lack of quality of dampers manufactured in other countries. Before hiring John to re-manufacture my fifty-two (52) year old HB, several weeks prior, I searched those "HB'S" offered for sale by well known Corvette parts suppliers, including but not limited to, Corvette Central, Ecklers, Zip Corvette Parts, Corvette America, and Top Flight Automotive. Some of these company's websites advertise "Made in the USA", however, it is vague whether made in the USA applies to their website, or the part. When I asked which country makes your HB, one representative in Tennessee in writing replied "I don't know". After a bit more research, I responded, your HB's are made in Mexico. John remanufactured my HB, completed in four (4) days, repainted it gloss black; naturally, I will finsh my HB in Chevy Orange. Anyway, if you need and want your HB to be repaired correctly, contact John, The Damper Doctor. Phil, San Diego, CA

Damper Doctor is absolutely the best. I called looking for a damper, it was an odd and discontinued one. He did not have it in stock either, but we shipped him ours, he had fast turnaround and it fit just right. Thank you Damper Doctor for the work you do!

Had a great experience with John at Damper Doctor. He gave me a fair quote. I shipped him my damper on a Tuesday, received email updates regarding the status of it during his process, and received the finished damper back by Saturday. It looks great and performs perfectly. Thanks for helping get my 56 Olds back on the road!

I sent in my factory discontinued oem harmonic balancer to John that was falling apart and had a deep groove where the front main seal seats causing a major oil leak and got it back like a brand new one from an auto store so I recommend Damper Doctor any day.

John at Dampner Doctor did an excellent job saving the balancer for my 1932 Chrysler. It was in really bad shape and he was able bring it back. He was very fair and his highest priority was a quality job. 👍
