I live only a few blocks from Dance and have always had good experiences. Thomas up front is a straight shooter and he generally can perform work within a day's notice. I have had four vehicles receive work and the prices have always been fair and the quality of workmanship has been superb. My family highly recommends Dance Service Center.

Brought my car in to fix the TPMS on the front passenger tire. Charged me $250 ($125 for a new sensor and $125 for labor) and upsold me on a brake fluid change and antifreeze change for a total of $630. Four days later the TPMS warning was right back on for the exact same tire they charged me for. Called the shop and the guy hemmed and hawed about what could have caused that. When I tried to bring my car back the next morning he said he was super busy. I doubt they did any of the services they charged me for. Ripoff artists who will never get my business again

I took my car to a local auto parts store to have my battery replaced. However, the car still wouldn’t start. The guy who was working on my car recommended that I take it to Dance Automotive to have them check my starter. He called over to the shop to see if they could fit me in, which they did and even gave me a ride back to my office. Honestly, I was a little worried because I had never been to this auto shop before. Once I got back to my office I checked their reviews online and felt a little better because they had good ratings. After a couple of hours I received a call from Dance Automotive informing me that the battery I just purchased was bad. They had the auto parts store swap it out with another one and my car was good to go. These guys were honest and didn’t try to take me to the bank with a repair that was not needed. I’ve never had any work done by this auto shop but I will in the future simply because they are trustworthy.

First, it's hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. But then to find one you can trust that will also fix my car, often times same day, plus giving me a good price and cleaning it too is a dream! I started using Dance primarily because they were convenient to me but after visiting them several times in the past 2 years because of my ailing 2005 Honda I am ever so thankful to have them in Richmond, VA. And because I don't live far, they are kind enough to give me rides if need be. Thomas is great -- excellent customer service with a sense of humor and always explains what's needed to fix my car in a straight forward manner. I highly recommend!!

Only been here once but it was a good experience. Honest, fair pricing, and quickly got me back on the road. Stopped for a state inspection where i didn't make an appointment. They found a worn tie rod and gave me the option to buy it myself or have them get it (i work for a auto parts chain so i get a discount). Installed the part and put on my new sticker and on my way i went! I'll be giving them more business as a result. Plus, they're in the neighborhood which is nice!

Dance is great. We have been taking our vehicles there for the past 5 years for inspections, minor and major repairs and they've always been fast and fair and remember my husband and our cars. I will say that it's because of these folks my husband is still able to use his little old beater Honda and that it passes inspection. They've done some significant repair work to keep that thing going. Every time we think it's finally time to lay that car to rest, they somehow manage to fix the problem and it's always less money than I was worried it would be.

Young ladies be aware of this place my daughter took her car there for tires and inspection. They said the left inner tie rod and was bad and only wanted to replace the one instead of both sides of the car, both inner and outer so I said I would do it myself, and I removed them, and they all four were equally worn not terribly bad shape, I’m glad they pointed out the problem but all four should have been replaced They were gonna charge $250 just for the one and that is not a good way to repair cars because the one was not bad but all four should’ve been replaced because if you put one strong part against the weaker ones then the other ones really wear out faster

These guys tried to rip us off from our car inspection. They rejected the state inspection because they said we needed new tires. We knew this could not be so since several of the tires had already been replaced in the last 2 years due to flat tires. The car is only 3 years old and we work from home with low mileage on the tires. We took the car to our Kia dealership in Midlothian and they confirmed these tires are no way near needing replacement. Kia even showed us on a tread chart with real tread samples of how much tread we still have left on our tires. Kia was able to override Dance autos rejection inspection. They should be reported to the BBB.
