Darryl Henry’s Auto Repair is definitely the best in Bend Oregon! He took my car off of a flatbed truck not knowing me or the car when it was barely running, if running at all. From the time he received the car, to the time it left the shop just today, Darryl made sure to update me as much as possible and to ensure me as to why he was touching certain things, when he was touching them and what he was doing to better the situation. He also got to the heart of the problem without making a grocery list of parts and me having to spend thousands of dollars on things that didn’t really need to get replaced. My 1996 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am runs awesome now since I brought it to Darryl. His peace of mind and his communication is unlike any other and I will be taking my vehicles, from now on, to him and his crew in Bend, Oregon. whether it’s my 2003 Chevy Tahoe LT or my fun car (as mentioned earlier), he will have my business from now on because he is the bomb! Thank you Darryl!

Darryl is beyond AMAZING!!! Him & his team are very knowledgeable, quick, honest, communicative, respectful, dependable & efficient. I found him during the hardest time in my life when my vehicle needed a ton of work— he gave me the most reasonable rates that were fair and repairs that were quality! He’s definitely a man of integrity! To say he’s amazing is an understatement because he’s truly more of a guardian angel! Not only did I pick up my car with the repairs beautifully done but with the confidence of knowing I was hitting the road safely which was important to me since I have a little one! I will ALWAYS take my vehicle there for any needs it may have as well as recommend him to everyone I know!!

This place is awesome! Had an exhaust leak which Darryl purchased parts for and I made a down payment. After I dropped it off later that week Darryl called me after he was done to inform me it was actually just a gasket causing the problem and I ended up getting a refund from my deposit and only paying 1/3 of what I thought I was paying! Very honest and upfront company. Will definitely be returning and can’t thank him enough for his work and honesty!

After taking my van to several different mechanics, who could not find the problem, Darryl was able to find it right away. He did not do or recommend any extra, expensive repairs. He answered all of my many questions and went over all the costs and options for repairs. His prices are very fair, but most importantly, he is honest. After using one mechanic in town for years, I will only go to Darryl from now on. I know I will get the repairs done right the first time and for the best price. I feel safe driving my 12 year old van after he has worked on it, and it runs better than it has in years.

I took my daughter's 2001 Dodge Dakota to Darryl Henry's for an overheating issue. The truck was in on a Thursday and fixed by Friday morning. It turned out to be a leaky water pump. I was very impressed by their professionalism and knowledge. Definitely I will take my vehicle to them in the future.

To start I am a mechanics daughter and could do the repairs mentioned if I had the tools. I always admired that my father was a honest mechanic and did not try to feed things not needed to his customers. So when I needed a mechanic I found Darryl’s. I have taken both of my vehicles to this shop, our first car needed a regular 60k service and he did a perfect job. He even noticed issues with the brakes and was able to save us tons of money down the road from the brakes. He also recently replaced 2 belts and a sensor that went bad on the same car. Our second car was towed in because it was leaking coolant everywhere. Come to find out the reservoir and the hoses burst from the cold. He repaired them in a timely manner considering it was a specialty ordered part needed. Over all I will continue to take my cars to him and anyone else that are looking for a HONEST mechanic will be very happy.

Darryl has done great work on both of our vehicles when needed! Most recently he took on a huge, extensive repair, including engine replacement, through our insurance after another auto shop said they were not able to do it. He and his team did an amazing job and got our car up and running perfectly! He also was great at calling and giving updates on the process, and I will absolutely continue to come to Darryl Henry’s whenever we have car issues. Great to have someone honest we can trust for car repair and maintenance.

I absolutely used to love this place. I’ve sent people from all over Central Oregon to have their vehicle fixed and or worked on. After having issues with my alternator and needing it replaced under warranty. I called to schedule drop off times and had Issues With the tow truck dropping off on the correct date. I called back and the lady on the phone was extremely short with me basically told me I can’t bring my car in for another 2 to 3 weeks. It’s the middle of summer and I have a one year old. I just had a terrible experience. The customer service over the phone was horrible and I felt like I was problem. and I will have Subu guru change the alternator.

Had an experience a few months back where my check engine light came on for my 2003 Jeep Liberty. I did all the usual checking at home to see what was wrong and came to the conclusion it was something I wouldn't be able to fix myself -- oxygen flow sensors. The woman on the phone when I called was super helpful and nice, even though I'm sure she could probably tell I was stressed, and helped me make an appointment to drop off my car. Everyone involved was very comunicative and my car hasn't had a problem since :-) They had it fixed within a DAY. Thank you Darryl!

Darryl and co. Took great care of us. We broke down unexpectedly, and even though there was plenty of repairs to be done, we got a more than fair price, and they communicated with us the entire way. I have full trust in getting quality work and honest evaluation. It's so hard to find a good service shop that won't take you or do shotty work. I've taken several of my cars to Darryl's and had such a great experience. Brought my Jeep where another place couldn't figure out the problem. He did and explained what and why. So many other places just ramble off parts and I don't really know if I'm just being up sold. I live far away but it is worth it to me to get good work and support an honest establishment.

Nice enough guy but terrible work from his employees. Had breaks done. Had to take back three times and they are still shot. Go to Les Schwab for breaks. Waste of money which in fact is the most expensive place. Don’t recommend.

I bought a new (to me) car recently and it didn’t come with winter tires. I bought a new set of all weather tires yesterday from Darryl for a price comparable to the increasingly-corporate Les Schwab and even Tire Rack. My tires came in less than a week after Darryl ordered them for me and now I’m ready for winter. I have trusted my vehicles to Darryl for over 15 years and he has always taken care of me in a timely fashion and for a fair price.
