One of the worst! Had my vehicle for tied up for 2 days after they told me it would be done in 4 hours. After I was finally able to pick it up it turns out that the problem still existed. After I brought it back they told me that the "rebuilt" part they ordered wasn't any good. Who the hell asked for a rebuilt part????? I spoke to Dave, who I'll assume owns the place and he got incredibly arrogant with me and claimed, "I don't make the parts". He told me he would have the vehicle ready in 4 hours. Again here we are a day later and no vehicle. Beware!!!!

I called ahead to schedule some maintenence on my car, they told me to bring it in on Thursday morning. I showed up at that time and they told me that, yes, they had made an appointment, but they were full and so couldn't take care of it. Totally unacceptable. Find a mechanic who can meet their own commitments.

I’ve been coming here for over 6 years now with 3 different vehicles. Never once had an issue. If you bring your own parts they’ll install it as well. Great people and I’d highly recommend.

Brought vehicle in to have my clutch serviced. They keep the vehicle for a day or two. I picked up my car everything seemed to check out mechanical so I drove off a happy customer. I made it to my next destination only to discover that my front bumper had been damaged. Someone clearly backed into my car. I called Marisol or whomever the lady up front is to ask about the damage. She never answered my call so my wife called and wouldn't you know she picked up immediately. I asked about the damage and she immediately said I brought the car here with a dented bumper like I don't see my car everyday. I told her it was not damaged when I dropped it off then she proceeded to blame the tow company for the damaged. She's clearly lying at this point and clearly forgot that I road with the tow company and I was the one who unloaded the car of the tow truck. She then proceeds to say she has video of the car with damage already there. I challenged her and did send the video with the time stamp showing when you took the video showing the prior damaged. Never received the video and she won't answer my calls. Don't take vehicle to this shop customer service is terrible.

Have gone here a couple of times now in the past year, with a 15 year old Volvo with 150,000+ miles on it, so I'm not looking to dump a lot of money into it, just keep it going for a reasonable time. Was told by another shop that I needed a new catalytic converter which would cost me a couple grand. Dave's told me they'd patch it and charge me about $100. We have a winner. You can be confident here that they won't try to soak you and will give you service that YOU need, rather than what THEY want.

Very trustworthy! Dropped my car off here because my maintenance required light was on and autozone had done a diagnostic reading and found that my catalyst system was having issues. Dave’s auto repair shop did their own diagnostic and found nothing wrong with my car and that it was just the typical light that comes on for oil change. They did not charge me for checking! I will definitely be back!

Highly not recommended. Seriously they forgot to fill the engine oil to upto full . On the other day i have checked the guage my self and noted and they didn’t fill the oil upto guage. And they didn’t fill the washing fluid also. And not using genuine parts for the car. And they forgot to keep the cooling liquid cap . This is not the way car to be serviced. What if I didn’t check the guage of engine oil . Engine would have been seized.very poor servicing

I can’t say enough good things about this place and specifically Wander, the head mechanic and owner of the place I believe. After my AC blew out I dropped my car off to be repaired and had it fixed less than 24 hours later and it ended up costing less than the original quote. Aside from their high quality service, Wander was kind enough to look at my car prior free of charge (most places charge a lot for a diagnostic, my dealer charges $195), was fully transparent with me, answered all of my questions and made me feel genuinely valued. I’ve had bad experiences with getting my car repaired at the dealership where I was charged way too much, so meeting Wander and finding a new reliable honest mechanic was huge. I highly recommend this establishment.

This is the worst repair shop ever . I came with my Nissan Altima which had vibration issue at 45 miles per hour . Mechanic wrongly identified its axle problem . They asked me to get passenger side axle and charged me 280$ for fixing it . After fixing new axle it didn’t solve my problem. The owner and mechanic started gaslighting me that they never said axle will fix the problem. Next day mechanic said other side of the axle is the problem . They really waste your money and owner of this repair shop is just obnoxious.

Words cannot properly capture how awesome the service is here! Since I was having brake issues which could have been an easy fix or a major repair, I wanted to go to someone who is trustworthy, reliable and honest, something I have not found in most mechanics in my experience. A good friend of mine recommended Dave's Auto Repair since he's taken his car there for the last 20 years. And I took that as an excellent voucher to try them out. I was NOT disappointed!!! Marisol is an angel, and the workers at this shop are heavenly! All staff with whom I came in contact were polite, friendly, professional, thoughtful and caring, and the cost of replacing a brake line and bleeding the system was 1/10th of what a local mechanic quoted me. (I live over 30 minutes away from Jersey City, but the trip and the cost of an uber while they worked on my 25-year old Honda CR-V was well worth it!) I very very highly recommend their services and will return for any and all repairs in the future. UPDATE 08/14/2024: I was sad to discover that this auto body shop went out of business last month. They were awesome in every way!

Started going to this Shop since October 2023. My check engine light would turn on then off every few days. Failed inspection so I went to Dave's Auto. I have a 2011 Jeep Compass and the first job they did for me was change the upper Catalytic Converter to solve my check engine problem. The check engine light has NOT come on since and they gave me a great price compared to the competition. Today I went to get my front suspension checked because I was hearing little noises every time I hit bumps. After he inspected it he informed me I needed the driver side control arm and ball joint. Since I was doing that I had them replace both sides and the sway bars on both sides. Once again a great price on parts and labor. Today i went to have my driveshaft replaced to get rid of a vibrating noice I've been dealing with for some time. Problem solved and once again a great price. Officially my new mechanic! Heads up, they do get a little busy as many Auto shops do so come early. Entrance to office and garage is on Jefferson St.
