I’ve had multiple Mazdas and been to 4 dealerships in different areas over the years. This is the worst service experience ever. Went for warranty work. Service advisor Tyson wanted to charge a diagnostic fee of $167. we didn’t do it. a couple of months later, We spoke with Mazda directly and they gave us a certificate to cover diagnostic fee. When we went back, Tyson then quoted $410 for the same warranty work with Mazda Customer Experience on the phone. He refused to honor the original quote and said work could cost more. Tyson said he “zeroed out” the previous quote. Even Mazda Customer Experience apologized and said he had never heard anything like that. On principle, I will never buy or service a vehicle from a place that is this terrible on customer service.

Great, no pressure purchase experience. If you are considering a purchase at Mazda, ask for Madyson Parker. I'm enjoying my 2025 CX 50.

We purchased a Mazda 3 recently. The car has only 10000 miles on it and is still under warranty. The first problem we had was water leaking into the vehicle. The service department told us we had to pay a diagnostic fee of 75.00 for them to solve the problem. We refused service and felt they were very rude. Needless to say the service interaction did not go well at that time. The other day I went out to the car and it was non-responsive. We called Mazda and they sent a tow truck. The tow truck driver told me that he couldn't understand it. He had never seen anything like it? The battery was good. We couldn't get into the car...we had to use the little key instead of the clicker. The car would not start. The car was towed to Davis Mazda. The service manager called us and told us that because we had written a negative review in the past he would not service our car and that we should take it to Jenkins. We called Mazda corporate and they talked to the service manager stating he had to service the car as it was still under warranty and you could not punish a customer for a negative review. The service manager called us again after he talked to corporate and said you need to come down to the dealer and sign a paper as he would charge us a diagnostic fee. At this time we were stuck as he had the car. We went down and signed the form. We went home. He called us and told us the car had started with out any problem, the battery was fine and we should come and pick it up. Please know that he checked the cells on the battery and that was all. He charged us 60.00 for that and released the car stating he did not know what was wrong with it and the battery was fine. We immediately drove to a different dealer and traded the Mazda 3 in. I would give Davis Mazda a NEGATIVE 100 percent. I am happy that I won't have to go into the service department again as I felt so upset and it was a toxic interaction. I also want to say that if I had a customer that was so upset they called corporate I would have given them courtesy and kindness instead of telling them they should go somewhere else and charging them with a diagnostic fee with no proper results. This was a very negative experience and I am happy I won't have to return.

If you're in the market for a Mazda I recommend Davis Gainesville Mazda. Bobby the salesperson was awesome. He takes his time and answers any questions you have. He is very professional and personable. He works hard to get you the best price.

Since day one the experience have been 5 stars. Bobby, our sales person had this personal touch with his customers that is hard to come by combined with class. The perfect sales person. Finance was quick and smooth too but I don’t know their names. Sorry. Tyson, on the maintenance department doesn’t fall an inch behind. Always consistent with his service and his smile, not to mention his accuracy and big knowledge of the Mazda brand. The guy is a machine!

Tyson was absolutely amazing! He was very professional, courteous, and prompt! I was having transmission issues and was super fortunate to have it covered under warranty. Mazda and Tyson worked vigorously to make sure that I was taken care of during the time they were working on my car. They started me out in a rental car of which Tyson went above and beyond by bringing me to the rental car place so I didn’t have to inconvenience my husband to drive all the way across town just to bring me to hertz. Tyson kept me updated with texts and calls constantly to make sure I was always updated when the parts came in, when they started working etc. After a week they ended up putting me in a demo car which was a very nice Mazda CX-9! While I did feel like I was driving a boat compared to my Mazda 6 Tyson spent quite a few minutes helping me go over any features that were different from my car so I felt comfortable in it! Overall, it was a great experience and Mazda is so lucky to have a gentleman like Tyson on their team! He is definitely an asset!

I could provide an extensive and detailed account of my experience with Davis but who wants to read all that. The gist of it is, Davis has a monopoly in Gainesville being essentially the only Mazda dealership within a rather large radius (next closest is Ocala or Jacksonville). With that being said, if you are ok with paying more than other dealerships, limited to no flexibility on price negotiations, no help/discount on large repairs, then go for it. In the end, I came to feel like I really didn't matter nor did they care about me as a customer.

I attempted to purchase a car and the staff and finance company could not reach my employer to verify my employment. During my wait for verification the car was running hot constantly and consistently. I made it aware to the dealership of the car condition. After a 30 day attempt to reach my employer with no success the finance company returned the contract. On the 31st day I was made aware to return the car. At that time again I let the finance manager "Karl" know the car is running hot to where I have been stuck multiple times and several times almost 48hrs. I am homeless disabled veteran who just got a job that I was let go because of transportation. I made several attempts to return the car from Jacksonville FL (was new job location)to Gainesville FL because of the car condition and me being alone it was a dangerous thing to try. Finally got some help that is someone to follow me. It made it to Baldwin FL and completely shut down. Notified the dealership. Recovery was contacted. So this was a span of a month and half give or take. There after I contacted the dealership for my 1 thousand dollars down payment. The DEALERSHIP REFUSE TO PAY ME BACK MY DOWN PAYMENT OF 1,000$. THE WORST WAS WHEN TALKED TO "KARL" THE FIN

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DRIVE TO MAZDA OCALA FOR SERVICE- DO NOT GO HERE. SEVERAL people have told me horror stories that they have experienced with the service manager here but I never thought it would happen to me. If you don’t want to be RIPPED OFF and CONNED, read my experience and GO TO OCALA. I had the misfortune of dealing with this “dealership” and it has been one of the most anger-inducing experiences I've ever had. Long story short, the battery tester was dead at several places the day my car started malfunctioning so I had it towed to Mazda. I simply wanted to have it tested to see if the battery needed to be replaced. What I received was nothing short of a COMPLETE SCAM. They told me that there would be a charge up to $190 IF I wanted to get it diagnosed AFTER the battery testing. Me and the service manager discussed via text that I did not want a diagnosis performed UNLESS the battery came back good. He insisted that I sign this contract giving them permission to charge me up to $190 for the diagnosis IF it need to be performed (which it never was). Being a logical human being, I thought testing a battery is a basic service and is free at most places and couldn’t be more than $50. I was so wrong- they handed me a bill for $180. According to the service manager, I didn’t only agree to the battery testing. When I requested the testing, he agreed to my request but threw into the text that he was going to clean, charge and test my battery. Again, being a logical person I am assuming that is all covered under the request of “testing” a battery as that is the only thing I asked for but since he sneakily threw that into the text and I didn’t dispute it, I am now being charged for all 3 services. I knew there’s NO WAY these services cost $180 so I called Mazda Ocala. They quoted me $80 for the EXACT same service. I called Walmart and they quoted me ZERO for the EXACT same service. This is nothing more than flat-out price gouging. So we look on Mazda’s website and they are offering COMPLIMENTARY BATTERY TESTING. I mention this to the service manager and I get the most laughable response. Mine isn’t free because a technician performed the testing and it’s only free if the service manager performs the testing and because I didn’t specifically ask for the service manager to perform the testing, even though that’s the only person I’ve communicated with, it’s not free. When me and my husband questioned the fee, the service manager was one of the RUDEST people I have ever encountered. Not only did he not care that he was charging me $180 to test my battery, but any reasoning with him went right back to this invoice he tricked me into signing for the “diagnosis”. And it did not matter how many times I told him, YOU TOLD ME THIS INVOICE AGREEING TO PAY UP TO $190 WAS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS WHICH WAS NEVER PERFORMED, his answer remained the same. He did not care that I could get the same service at another Mazda Ocala 30 minutes away for $100 less or Walmart for FREE, he did not care that he tricked me into signing an invoice, he did not care that I ONLY requested a battery test but charged me for 2 other services, he practically laughed at us and said at least 5 times, “PAY YOUR BILL, TAKE YOUR CAR AND LEAVE. I HAVE TO BE IN SOMEWHERE.” I’ve never encountered a service manager with such a complete lack of a moral compass. He was dismissive, arrogant, condescending, and couldn’t possibly care less that he tricked me. I cannot stress enough how disgusted I am with this place. To anyone considering this place, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to take your car. This dealership is nothing more than a scam operation preying on people who don’t know any better. If you NEED to be serviced by Mazda, I can’t express enough how important it is to go to the Mazda in Ocala. If they are willing to charge me $100 more than Mazda Ocala for a simple battery test, imagine how much more they are willing to charge you for a service more expensive. Don’t let them take advantage of you like they did to me.

Took my car in to get the air conditioner looked at and also had been having issues with a break light for a while, my car had a warranty on it and i was expecting to be told about expenses. I went to get a rental and was told that the repair of air conditioning was covered with my warranty but that i had additional expenses for labor and the part my car needed (so whats the point of a warranty? ). I was also told i had to pay $199 because they inspected my breaks. I went in with no money and was told that in 2 days i needed to pay $360 . Once my boyfriend called and started asking for documentation they lowered the price by about $120 because they had “accidentally “ charged incorrect things. When i told Tyson i did not know that the inspection was $199 he told me he explained it to me and i had signed to authorize, i was not the person who dropped the car off at all and when i reviewed the signed paper from my boyfriend it said that if the “repairs” were over $500 we required a quote. Said nothing about diagnostics. These people are hustlers and thieves. I will absolutely never be back. Shame on you for stealing from people and for being misleading and disgusting

My teenage daughter showed up here today one hour before closing needing a battery to drive home to south Florida after receiving a jump from AAA. She was told they didn't have enough time to install a new battery and told to try the Ocala Mazda, but that was 30 minutes away and closing in 2 hours and she didn't want to risk being turned away there too. She ended up going to the AutoZone in Gainesville and within 30 minutes they had installed her battery and had her on her way. This is especially aggravating b/c the battery was covered by warranty with Mazda. I do not recommend this business.

If I could give this dealership a 0, I would. I was visiting from out of town and my tire popped on Thursday. I took it to the closest Mazda in the area asap because I wanted to get back home. Upon drop off Tyson said that he would have to order that part and that I would be out by Saturday the latest, to which I agreed and understood because he needed to order the part. I have warranty on my tired so it wasn’t an issue as long as I could get home safely. I left my car there assuming everything was okay. Well, I woke up Friday morning to a text (see attached) that basically said it was too much work for the claim and that he wouldn’t do it, to take it to a local tire shop. I called him and asked him about the situation and he said that the warranty that I have was asking for too much and again, that he wasn’t going to do it. He said that his sales manager, Paul, also agreed that the service was too much and he didn’t have to do it. I then asked if someone comes in with a flat tire are you just not going to do it? To which he said yes. When I arrived to get my car Tyson brushed it off and said “oh yeah, it’s so much work so we’re going to figure out a way to charge for it.” Mind you… I HAVE TIRE WARRANTY. I’ve never paid a dime to replace my tire at any Mazda. I called corporate and they helped me out getting me situated at another dealership (an hour away) that took me in and did what I needed to with no problem and did not have to pay anything. If you find yourself in needing an immediate fix on your car, do NOT go here. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Went for an oil change and maintenance. Very pleased with service staff and mechanics. I appreciated that they do a video of their exception to show what is needed and rating each point of check with green/yellow/red for replace/needs work. Staff was very respectful and not pushy when it came to sharing what was needed and their opinion on an issue. Overall great experience!

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this Mazda location. My friend was out of town when her tire popped, so she took her car to the nearest Mazda dealership for help. The worker, Tyson initially told her he could take care of it and kept the car overnight. Then the next day, Tyson suddenly decided it was “too much work” and refused to fix it, forcing her to take it elsewhere. To make things worse, Tyson also tried to charge her for the service—even though she has a valid tire warranty! This is completely unacceptable. If they weren’t going to do the job, they should have been upfront about it instead of wasting her time. And attempting to charge for something that should have been covered? Shady and unprofessional. Avoid this place if you expect reliable service and honest communication.

Worked with Bobby to buy a new car and had a great experience. I had done some preliminary research and knew what I wanted. What I like is that he treated me with mutual respect, took time to understand my terms, and was able to meet me where I was at to get the car I truly wanted. I'd recommend if you are interested especially in knowing more about the Mazda you want to buy, talk to Bobby. He knows these cars inside and out. Really appreciated the experience.

Run don’t walk from this dealership. They deserve 0 stars. This long term Mazda driver will not be back. First, I had a terrible experience with the service department where I was notified of a scheduled service appointment needing to be rescheduled 30 minutes prior to the appointment. At my next service appointment, I was told I needed new rear brake pads, which I do, however rotors aren’t turned anymore, brake pads are just replaced by placing them on the old rotors without turning them. This goes against everything I have been told. When getting a price for new pads and rotors I was asked how I would be paying and when I shared by credit card, I was told that I would be up charged for that. I find it also quite interesting that the salesman who sold me my last two cars can call me on my birthday each year as long as I owe money on the car, but when the car gets down low to enough to where I have more equity in it than they do the salesman doesn’t make that call. By the way forget completing their customer satisfaction surveys. You’ll be called by the employee and interrogated about why your survey was so low and when you ask the higher ups in the dealership to call you in that survey you’ll never hear from them. This is totally not how you treat a long time customer. Good bye Davis Mazda. Hello Murray Ford.

This is the WORST service ever! This was my car’s problem and Tyson said they cannot fix it without a full inspection ($189+tax)! Then he said the part will arrive in two days, which didn’t. I said fine. He scheduled another appointment and I asked a ride, he said the driver will be here at 11am. I arranged all my daily schedule accordingly, now he says I have to wait 45mins! He says my insurance does not cover a rental and he is not paying for rideshare. And now I realised he is charging me extra for the installation of the part ($215). I aleady paid $500 for the part and inspection, and the breakdown was saying labor & parts. Now he is saying it is the labor of inspection (of course he didn’t inform me about this). This place sucks. No customer satisfaction, nothing! I brought the car on Monday, it is Thursday and I am still waiting…

Scheduled oil change appointment. Told 1–2 hrs, “probably not 2”. Dropped off on time, but stood at the counter 4-5 minutes while staff trained each other and didn’t check me in. Almost two hours later and zero updates, had to chase staff for status (they ignored me until I spoke). Blamed delays on “first day open” with repeated apologies but no discount. No communication, no respect for my time. 2 stars only because the oil got changed. Won’t return.

I took my car for annual service (I paid for all inclusive maintenance when I purchased my vehicle) and the service was ok, no delays receiving my car and took very decent time for my car to be ready. My only disappointment is that my car was not cleaned after serviced (I have purchased brand new cars and SUVs-GMC, Ford- before, paying extra to include service, and always my vehicles were returned to me sparkling clean).
