I recently had a TeraFlex 4 inch long arm lift and 35 inch wheels and tires installed on my Jeep at Desert Rat. To be upfront the Installation of the lift took longer than I was quoted and expected but I now clearly understand that with labor shortages and supply line issues that we are all seeing these days, this is something that a consumer should simply expect to have to deal with. In the end, I found the people at Desert Rat to be honorable and fair. As a retired Arizona State Trooper vehicle safety is paramount to me. My Jeep is used in the mountains of Arizona and Colorado were we prospect for gold at high altitudes in extremely rough country. I place my girlfriends life in my hands every time we go out in my Jeep. The fine people at Desert Rat went over every inch of the lift installation with me. They cut no corners and I could not be happier with the lift and tires. I would like to shout out a special thanks to Tim the General Manager of Desert Rat. Tim treated me more than fair and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks Tim for all you did. We are currently up in Colorado and have ran the Jeep through the paces and I could not be happier with our lift and tires. Thanks to all at Desert Rat.

So I just got my 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4X4 lifted using MFC Off-road 2" lift with MFC off-road rear centering kit and it looks absolutely amazing. From what I was told my Cherokee is the first that Desert Rat has ever done and they did amazing. Yes, at first they we're apprehensive about doing a live because it's the first time they've ever seen it lifted but once it got started it took sometime but it all fell into place. The technicians are friendly and are willing to tell you flat out that things can't be done unless you do x, y, and z. They makes sure everything is done right before they release the car to you and explain the processes of what they did and what you need to do to keep it up. Desert Rat is the only off-road shop that I was willing to do this job and I recommen them to everyone.

I went to the Tempe Desert Rat store. My new Warn Winch wasn't working. I took it to Tim and he looked at it and bench tested the winch and it worked as it should. Turns out I did the install incorrectly. Tim did not charge me. They will get all of my future business and referrals.

This place is simply the best, zero corporate crap, and they care. Chris is the man and has guided me on what's best for my jeep with how I plan to use it. Eric is a top notch mechanic and did an amazing job on my Jeep JL. They found a cracked drag link that the dealership overlooked many times, it was so bad that it could have caused an accident. Went in with my 2018 lifted Tacoma because I felt shuddering or “shaking” while driving. I had a feeling it had something to do with the shocks but was not sure exactly what it was. I spoke with Chris who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain what could possibly be wrong. After diagnosing the problem, Chris took the time to explain in detail exactly what needed to be done to resolve the issue. Little did I know how bad my problem actually was! I’m the type of customer that likes lots of details, and Chris had no problem going through everything with me and took the time to answer all my questions. He gave me multiple options on replacement shocks and let me take the time to choose. I absolutely love how my truck turned out, and could not be more satisfied with Desert Rat and their customer service. Highly recommend speaking with Chris if you have any concerns. This is not the type of shop to upsell you on something you don’t need. They were extremely transparent and great to work with throughout the process. Chris and his team found and fixed an issue that no other shop could do. One of the mechanics said that out of all the Jeeps he’s worked on over 17 years, my 2005 TJ Rubicon was among the 5 worst driving Jeeps! Anyway, they found the main problem right away, and they found a couple of other things that really needed to be replaced, and a few that would need attention in the future. I had them replace the parts responsible for the death wobble, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 1. Diagnosed the problem 2. Found other severely worn out parts 3. Returned the Jeep ahead of schedule 4. Really happy with Chris and the Team at Desert Rat's Tempe location. They diagnosed the issue with our 2013 Jeep Wrangler immediately. Death Rattle. And believe me when it happened it was pretty scary. They got us in pretty quick and after further inspection found other items that needed to be addressed.
