I just recently got my Dodge Journey fixed and they did a good job. They said they fix everyone’s car like their grandma’s however I do wish what I got fixed came with an alignment because it’s all fixed, besides driving a little off , but they did a great job and I really really feel like I got a good deal ! I’ll be returning through for sure

Okay here goes and it's an honest review. I waited a week for my appointment. I'm 75 and disabled so I needed a 2 mile ride home and 2 mile pickup after leaving my van. They said, "no problem." They said they ran diagnostics on my Van and couldn't figure out the problem😒 So they gave it back to me as "nothing figured out!" Obviously, disconnected the battery to turn off engine light warning. Diagnostic was $42.50, and I was told it would go towards servicing/fixing my van but I said, if they couldn't diagnose the problem, then a $42.50 charge was not being paid unless fixed and taken off cost of servicing. Then they said, well, unless fixed same day, that didn't count and they said, "drive it and let us know." So Drove the van two miles next day, engine light returned, and it was worse than before. I had to get towed home. Now after waiting a week, bring told about all the negative codes found on scanner, and they didn't fix anything, I am stranded. No I did not pay the $42.50 thank goodness. And I was lectured on having to waste time on my being brought home and picked back up. Most repair shops offer that as a courtesy for business. A whole 4 miles round trip. And on having lost $160 he would have to pay his mechanic that spent two hours and come up with no solution. Overall, I am just dumbfounded over all this. What more can I say. Now I will have to have my van towed to the dealer and a real diagnosis and repair. Humm wonder what my time and troubles are worth?? Any responses are just excuses as I see it.

Thank you to the crew at Dexters for working to help me understand some ongoing issues in my 2017 Trax. Bob was clear and concise about what they thought could be the issue before even seeing the vehicle; however after inspection Bob outlined that they were NOT seeing some of the tell tale signs they were looking for and that was nice to hear considering they could have just gone ahead with the bigger fix (although potentially not needed) and I would have never known…instead they recommended a smaller fix before going any further. I’m basically saying if you are looking for a business that invests in repeat business through honesty and trust look no further.

I needed new rotors and pads on front of my vehicle. I called them Monday 8/26/24 at 3pm. Said they we busy Tuesday 8/27.But then asked the issue i was having and kindly he Said he would squeeze me in. I dropped my car off at 8am. At 10am they were finished. This is my 3rd time going thru them. And they are very good people. Kind and they are very efficient and amazing at what they do. I highly recommend going thru them. All 3 times they helped me within a days notice. Obviously not huge repairs. But very convenient. Thanks guys!!

I love Dexter's! I have had my car fixed by them 4 times now, and have never had an issue after. I used to go to those backwoods' word of mouth mechanics, which seems great at the time financially, but ended up constantly getting the same issues fixed over and over. I'm so glad I found them, the first time I brought my car there, they actually charged me $600 less than what the word of mouth scammer quoted me at. Also, there have been 2 times now where they will find an issue as they're fixing it, and take care of it without charge! Super friendly, respectful, and very honest! Will definitely continue going here as long as possible!

Dexter's has serviced our vehicles over the last three years. They consistently offer a level of service and trustworthiness that has made me a loyal customer. Recently on a Wed. my vehicle wouldn't start and I needed it towed. I contacted Dexter's and they said to just drop it off and they will fit it in. They determined it needed a fuel pump by Thursday. When they went to install it on Fridya morning it was discovered that a relay kit was also needed to get power to the pump. The problem was they already had their daily part delivery and the closest relay kit was at a dealer 45-60 minutes away (it is noon by the time). They said they were willing to go get the part and still try and get my car back to me by the weekend. Knowing all that had to happen and what time it was I thought it was a long shot for them to get to the dealer and back and still fix the car before the weekend. To my delight they call back an hour later and said they figured it out. They took the initiative to see what parts were in the relay kit and built the kit themselves through in-town sources completing the work and getting it back to me in time for my family to maintain our weekend plans. This is just one example of the level of service and effort Dexter's puts in with their customers.

I used to recommend this place to anyone that needed repairs. Now, after going back to them, I would not recommend. They miss issues that are obviously wrong with your car and tell you your car is safe to drive. Just be cautious if you choose to spend your money here. I used to think they were good, helpful people. Now, not so sure. P.S. Firestone does a COMPLETE inspection on your car for $21.99!! Dexter's charged me $50 for telling me my car was safe when it wasn't (per several other mechanics/dealerships).
