I've been to other places that not only pressure you to purchase other things that I didn't come to the shop for, but also take forever and over charge for an oil change or a patch in my tire from a nail. I got recommended to Dingman's by a coworker since it's close to my job. They were all very nice, worked with my time and did a fast/great job. I think their prices are the best too. I won't go anywhere else now.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! These folks know how to treat customers. Always get me in when I need service. Squeeze me in when a tire problem or headlight, taillight repair. Prices excellent also. Have also had repairs when a mishap with a deer. Did excellent collison work. They know how to make you feel so comfortable and important. I love this business and their wonderful care they give me and my cars.

This was our first time using Dingman’s and it will be our last. We dropped my wife’s vehicle off for hail damage repair on September the 16th. That Friday, she received her one and only update call letting her know “we will for sure have your vehicle through next week.” No big deal, we have rental car coverage through insurance for up to $600 which equates to roughly a month. So based on the timeline of “through next week”, we figured we were good to go. Unfortunately, “through next week” came and went. When my wife called for an update on September 27th, she was told her vehicle was going to paint “this next week.” Okay, a little longer than we expected but we still had the rental. On Monday, October 7th, she received a notice from our insurance company that her rental coverage would expire on October 10th. When she called…again…to try to get an update, she was informed that her vehicle had not been sent to paint as she was told. Additionally, she was told that they were not sure when the vehicle would go to paint. We are now through 4 weeks and our rental car coverage is up, time to turn in the rental vehicle. My wife’s vehicle is still not done. So, we are left to figure out how to manage transportation for two adults who have jobs and two children with activities with a single vehicle. Our new timetable is two more weeks, so six weeks in total and that is if they manage to hit this deadline. No apologies, nothing. Nothing more than “this is how long it normally takes.” If 6 weeks was the original timeline, why were we not told that when we first dropped the vehicle off??? It’s absurd. Here is the biggest problem: the communication has been absolutely horrible. No calls to give us updates, no “we are really sorry, this is taking longer than we initially told you”, nothing, nada, zilch. At times we have called (late afternoon) and have been told we will receive an update in the morning. Crickets, no return calls, nothing. We asked if they could assist with either a loaner vehicle or additional rental car assistance and we were told that they wouldn’t be able to help, and we had to figure it out on our own. Apparently, we are not alone either, as my wife was told there were others in the same boat as us. It may not be a problem to Dingman’s, but it is a problem to us. Use this shop at your own risk because we had to learn the hard way.

This is the second time we have taken an old “kid” car to Dingman’s and worked with Todd. He is wonderful at communicating about the car’s problems and helping the customer evaluate what to fix. He’s a dad so he wants the cars to be safe but also understands wanting to be thoughtful about how much money to spend on an older car with a lot of miles. He spent significant time talking with me and was so patient when I would need to call and discuss with my husband. We’ve also been very happy with the work. I wholeheartedly recommend Todd at Dingman’s Mechanical!

Before coming here, I haven’t had good luck with good mechanics. But when I talked to Todd the first time he was very through and honest. I got my rear suspension repair in one day. The very next day my wife’s car had ignition issues. I called Todd again hoping he would check the car over the next few days. But he did fixed it on the same day I dropped the car off! I might have been lucky with his schedule, but he is definitely trustworthy.

Update: You cannot find a better, more dedicated group of mechanics anywhere in Omaha. Recently, they had to remove the entire engine and transmission to replace a rear seal. A major job to say the least, but they did a great job at a fair price. Todd and Jake kept me updated regularly and did the job right with genuine GM parts. Someone else already did the same job once, but didn’t use the best parts. I’ve no doubt that Dingmans did it right. I take all of the cars there and encourage others to do the same! Very nice people! I've taken two cars for auto mechanical repairs thus far and have been very happy. I used to use Jensen, but the quality at the location I went to dropped dramatically, so I had to venture out of my comfort zone. I used Dingman's for collision repair before and was very excited they opened a mechanical repair shop, too. It's not far from home and the people are very professional. They advise, but don't upsell. I hate upselling, so was pleasantly surprised they didn't do that. From a couple of oil changes to a brake replacement, they've been fair and helpful and priced competitively. I'm sold for life.

Excellent service. I recently brought my Nissan Rogue in for service relative to a strut issue. The customer service rep had excellent communication and expertise skills. Todd was very professional. The service techs isolated the problem, the parts were ordered and within 24 hours, my car was repaired. What is refreshing about the service was keeping me informed during and after the repair. I am totally satisfied with my experience with Dingman's Mechanical services. I would highly recommend them for their expertise, communication skillset and pricing.

Todd was amazing with great customer service. My honda looked like it kicked the bucket. They brought it back to life. The car has 250,000 miles on it, its almost time to put it to the pasture. They fixed the alternator & put new front arms on the car. I feel the ending price was fair & honest. My car is running & in better shape than when i brought it in. Matt, and his team are the best! Very disappointed in Dingman's Mechanical! We've been bringing both of our vehicles for mechanical work for the last few years. Always had good service from them and I have always recommended them to my friends. I recently purchased an older car that has a new engine and transmission in it. I called to ask if they would take a look at a couple of leaks for me. A transmission line and the oil pressure gauge. Jake answered the phone and said he would talk to Todd. Todd told him they would not work on an older vehicle. I asked who they would recommend, and he said he didn't care to. I was surprised because Todd would always tell me to "bring it in and they would take a look at it". Not this time, however. My car is a 1946 Ford but is in better shape than my other two vehicles. Totally disappointed in them and will look elsewhere for mechanical work going forward.
