Had our van towed to John for an electrical problem. Van would not start and a bunch of weird things were happening. John put the van on the lift and tested all components related to the problem. He could not pinpoint the problem and said the van had to go to the dealer for further diagnosis. John spent a good 45 minutes troubleshooting and did not charge. Great to see an honest mechanic, and he will be getting all of our business in the future.

Picture this. It’s Thursday night 8:00PM and I’m driving from NW Indiana to Philadelphia, PA to watch my son wrestle. It should take about 11 hours. It’s me and 4 kids - 11, 8,7, and 3 years old. I’m about half way through when my battery light comes on. I’m driving a 2014 Honda Odyssey with 200,000 miles. It’s dark, I look to see the nearest gas station and it tells me 20+ miles. That can’t be right - I think. Next, the swerve tire signal comes on and the electric starts acting funny. I’m a 45 year old man and I don’t get scared … but I’m actually scared. More for my kids. I pull off to the next exit in North Lima, Ohio - praying to God to find an auto repair shop. Now, the van won’t start and I’m on hold with AAA. They never answer. I quick see that there is a Holiday Inn Express down the street and have my 11 year old daughter drive while I push the van. Windows and doors wide open because the electric was gone. We get it parked and get a room. Friday morning I call 5 different places and leave messages literally begging them to help. I still wanted to get to the tournament, but more importantly wanted to get there and home safely with my kids. John was the only person who called me back. He said the was very very busy, but thought it was the alternator and suggested I try to drive it over. I couldn't believe it when it started right up. I get there and he diagnoses it and says for me leave it with him for a few hours and that he’d try to get it in. He has his friend Paul drive me back so I can be with my kids in the hotel (who were all still sleeping). 1.5 hours later it’s fixed. Paul drives my van out to me and I drive back to pay my bill. I get to the tournament in Philly and back home without any problems. John is an honest, caring, and skillful mechanic. He cares about people and loves what he does. If I lived anywhere near North Lima, Ohio he’d be my guy. I highly recommend John for any auto services needed - from oil changes to tune-ups. He’s honest and one of the best.

Got me in at a timely fashion, but after checking my car for a potential oil leak and service code, I was charged for labor time when nothing was done to fix the issue. Ended up having to take my car into another shop the very next day because the oil level was dangerously low. Not happy with the service at all.

The owner is a great guy! I was hearing noises by my front left tire, he figured it out for me within 30 mins plus test drove my truck to make sure I was running good.
