Brought my Acadia here as my car was making a horrible “clanking” sound. I feared the worst. Turns out it was just a broken bracket on my muffler. They were able to fix it same day, I was in and out in less than two hours. Great service.

Gosh! See my Yelp review! It's almost too long to redo. . your glowing review! Dave, Guy, Steve and all you guys there at Do-Rite.... These guys took me in as a broken down 29' Beaver coach, two weeks ago when I broke down in Kent, 12/2/16, and ended up in their parking lot over the weekend. Fortunately, it was only a clogged fuel filter, and they had me on my way Monday afternoon. I was so impressed with their reputation as exhaust specialists, I scheduled a muffler and pipe replacement with Guy Thomas, for my journey back to Oak Harbor, on 12/15/16. He had me out by closing. Then, through NO fault by Do-Rite, my fuel filter of 2 weeks, clogged up again when I left their shop and I had to spend another night in Kent, so they could look at it again today. They practically dropped everything to accommodate my 29' Beaver intruding in their small parking lot for another day while they replaced the fuel filter again. I can't say how much I appreciate their generosity and customer service toward me! They made my vacation to CA bearable, even though I never made it to CA, I met some wonderful new friends, whom I plan to take my rv's 1983, 454 Chevy engine and motor to, whenever it may need work. (Providing THEY want me back!) It is with GREAT pleasure, I give this review. Lauren Becker

I was needing a new muffler bad! The old one fell off and it was causing lots of other issues. These guys were clear with my options and took great care of me. The job was done on time and that's important! Fair price, job done on time, great service. 5 stars is the only option for this place!

Worked in fleet management in the Seattle area for 5 years, I am familiar with a lot of shops in the area. Mark is hands down the best. He was recommended to me by a friend of mine who's been a mechanic (and local to the area) for 20 years. The key fob for my trunk didn't work and I was quoted anywhere from $300-$500 to fix it. Do rite did it for 1/4 a labor hour. They could have easily put .5, or charged one hour - but they didn't. It's unfortunate, but it's rare to find that honesty anymore. They easily saved me $250 bucks right there. They do good work quickly, are honest, transparent, and educate you about your car. Not sure why you would go anywhere else.

They do good work but just brought a 2017 Challenger in with my own supplied parts for an exhaust mod and was told when I got there that it would be $250 in labor after looking at it. Not 20 minutes later after they cut parts of the exhaust apart they said it’s now going to be $540. So if you want really shady mechanics this is the place to go 👍Do NOT recommended.

My husband brought his BMW in because it was over heating was told it needed a new hose payed to have it diginosed and fixed, a week later the same issue happened so we called the shop and was told to bring it back in and they told us it had the same issue but now a different hose so we paid them to fix it, brought the car home pulled into the drive was and could you guess what happened the car over heated so we turned right around and brought it back to them they called my husband back and told him they fixed the over heating issue but now the car won't go into reverse or drive and they needed it out of the stall in the shop so they were going to pull it out with a fork lift. My husband told them absolutely not, and we raced over there. The car ran perfectly besides overheating, now another issue. The macanic said he could not figure out how to get the car in reverse to back it out of the shop, mean while another macanic there over heard me and my husband talking came over and backed it right out now they want 1200 something wrong with the transmission so we took the car home. Come to find out, it needs a new water pump, which cause the car to go into limp mode. Do not use this shop waist of time and money.

This place used to be pretty good. Not so much anymore. I have an aftermarket transmission pan I wanted to be installed. Not a hard job at all. It’s annoying for me to jack up my truck completely level for the refill, so I’d figure I’ll just have a shop do it. I have everything. The guy I spoke to said “we do not install customer supplied parts.” IT’S AN AFTERMARKET PAN FROM PPE!! You are going to get it from the same place. It’s just a hunk of aluminum with no moving parts with zero chance of failure. I understand supplied parts like calipers and what not, but this is a pan! The guy answering the phone is terrible. Will cost that business money for sure.

I am a travel nurse who is from AZ working at UWMC and towards the end of my stay in Seattle i had a passenger headlight go out. I called many places including Dodge, in which they were very dismissive, condescending, rude and not willing to help me figure out how to get my headlight changed. When i spoke with Do Rite Auto Repair they had excellent customer service and were helpful and willing to look at my car as a first thing in the AM drop off. The mechanics were very friendly and informative explaining everything to this very car naive female. They also changed the bulb but the light still didn’t work so then they switched out a fuse and it worked. These guys are awesome and trustworthy, i would take my car back to them if i ever needed them again.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an auto repair shop. I scheduled an appointment because an engine light came on my dashboard saying I needed to replace the timing belt and I figured I would get an oil change if I was going to do all this work on my car. I made an appointment for a diagnosis of the issue and get a quote of the work. I drop my car off at 8 in the morning and asked Mark to give me a ride to work down the street and said he wanted to test drive the car anyway so it was perfect. A few hours later I get a quote. They were going to charge me $80 for an oil change and then a total of $1400 for the work. I wasn't convinced so I called some other places and found a dealership that was going to do the work for $1000. So I called Mark to pick up my car saying I didn't want to do any of the work and wanted to pick up my car. I get to the shop and they say my car is almost ready and they are just about done with oil change. I am confused as I didn't authorize any work and specifically said I didn't want anything done. Being frustrated at the situation, I again told him I didn't sign any quote or authorize any work to be done on my car other than the diagnosis. Mark begrudgingly says fine and lets me take my car without paying for the work I didn't authorize. A few weeks later and I get a ticket for running a right light in the mail. Confused, I looked up the date and time and it turns out that on the way back from dropping me off at work, Mark had run a red light with my car and now I have to pay a ticket for it. I called Mark to inform him of what he did and ask him to pay the ticket because he was the one that ran the light. After jogging his memory of who I was he says, "I don't recall running a light, but you refused to pay for the oil change so I guess we are even." I couldn't believe it. The worst professionalism and the dirtiest/cheapest auto shop I have ever seen. Absolutely horrible. So much for "Do Rite."

Over a month wait to fix my husband’s car with Mark the owner delaying us a week after a week telling us it will be ready in a few days over and over again We ended up renting a car 3 different times because of Mark at the office who I think is also the owner so unprofessional We got quoted for 1360$ but he tried to bill us for more than that which we didn’t agree regardless a week later the issue wasn’t resolved we lost our money and mark said it’s not their problem. I do not recommend this repair shop to anyone who needs a good quality repair in a scheduled time frame be ready to wait for longer than you’re told

Had my vehicle inspected and repaired here recently. The staff is easy to communicate with and humorous. For those who don't know much about cars like myself, they were able to replicate and find my mysterious "morning squeaking." Which ended up being related to my brakes. Then the dreaded conversation of talking $$$ came. It made my heart sink a little since it wasn't a great time financially for my household. I agreed to the price and they were very accommodating in terms of when I could expect to pick it up. I showed up ready to pay and to my surprise, the price was much lower than expected! I never mentioned my financial circumstances or haggled a new price. It was a pleasant surprise that I won't forget. I will be a returning customer. Even without the price being lowered it was a great experience. I would say excellent, but y'all need to work on your website. ;) I recommend calling for appointments. P.S - I'm not sure what other reviews are talking about in terms of staff interactions. Unless they spoke with other personnel, I didn't have the same experience (or maybe the customer was being.. difficult?..) Thank you again Do Rite.

Bought my 2018 civic 4 years and haven't taken it in for much more than basic check ups. All of a sudden a couple months back my AC started blowing not so cold air. Wellllll that's an issue that I thought was going to be an expensive fix. I brought it to do-rite and Angie in the front was able to tell me how this will go down, very easily. Chris and (unfortunately didn't get his name) in the bay worked on my car. I asked for an oil change as well. Apparently..... Some ding dong a number of years ago over charged the coolant in my car and that ended up messing with the whatever that made my car cool. They fixed that, got a new air filter cause mine was horrendous, and an oil change. All for WAY less than jiffy lube would charge for a basic oil change. 10/10 Do Rite is now my go-to mechanic and I will be referring them business. Thanks guys!

Mark fit me in with an emergency muffler bracket repair even though there wasn't an empty bay in the place. I was so happy they were making time for me that I said just tack weld it, but Guy went above and beyond fixed the bracket and even added on an extra brace. Two thumbs way way up!!👍👍

Driving from Texas to Alaska my truck engine light came on! I drove to an auto store to get a diagnostic and was informed it was the transmission output speed sensor. When I finally reached Kent Washington I called Do Rite Auto Repair and told them I was in the middle of my drive and they were able to fit me in same day! Luckily they found the problem and it was an easy fix ( my serpentine belt was eating thru my transmission wiring harness). Right after the fix, my truck was running great! Thank you for helping us out.

I brought in my 2021 Supra to have exhaust work done. I’m a supporter of small local shops. I couldn’t be happier. The gentleman who worked on my car was Dan. He encouraged that I stay for the process so he could take my input every step of the way. He explained everything he did, reassured me the entire time, and let me be hands on with the result. He did extra work to fix a problem I had aside from the reason I came. My track car is extremely low to the ground, and he made it work very carefully ride up their ramp.

Mark at Do Rite has been helping me with my 1981 C10 project truck for over a year and the truck couldn't be in better hands. I've had it in three times so far for major work that I just couldn't handle. Estimates were always right on the money and turnaround is not bad considering how much work they seem to have at all times (which I consider to be a good sign). I also note that there always seems to be an interesting project car or two in the shop whenever I stop by, so it is clear that other enthusiasts trust this shop as well. Mark strikes me as a professional adult. One story I want to point out - they told me the truck was ready after repairing a catastrophic brake failure so I was surprised to see that the truck was still in one of the bays when I showed up to get it. Turns out that Mark had a few extra minutes so he pulled it back in to see if he could dial in the carb better, just for the heck of it. Now that's somebody who clearly enjoys his work.
