I have been coming to Dolar's Automotive for about 10 years and Mike and his team have always been upfront and honest about anything going on with my truck. When it came time to let my truck go Mike was honest about it and told me that putting more money into it (it had about $234K miles on it and was about 19 years old) was not worth it and it was time to sell it. I am grateful for their honesty and consider them my trusted professionals for all my automotive needs. A true gem and blessing!

I cannot even express how pleased we are with Dolars Auto Repair. I am from Arizona and blew a transmission cooler line. I had to be towed and found Dolar as being close with good reviews. They got my car in right away and diagnosed the issue. They had to order parts and kept us apprised the whole time. We decided to have them do other work as well. They completed my repairs very quickly once they got the parts and were EXTREMELY well priced. I will always use them in the future even though they are 100+ miles from my home. These guys are the absolute best!!! Quality work, great communication, very friendly and professional and they even gave me a fantastic warranty on their work. Absolutely recommend them as the best of the best!

If you find this business then you have hit the million dollar jackpot!! You will need to make an appointment and be patient and get there early early because the costumers are lined up at the door. Stephanie and Mike are salt of the earth. I am Nomadic so I have to deal with mechanics all over the country. This business is steps above the rest. They didn't end up having to repair my vehicle this time but I know where I will return to if I need help. Thank you for making this costumer feel very happy, grateful and relieved.

A few days ago our a/c started running warm air -- we took it to DOLAR'S AUTOMOTIVE this morning at 7:00 A.M. By 9:00 A.M my husband was back home. Mike Dolar of Dolar’s Automotive is what many of us look for but sometimes have difficulty finding: a good, honest, affordable mechanic. Here’s my experience. After a recommendation from a friend, I went to see Mike after my dealership told me that my 2013 Toyota Corolla needed new engine mounts and my timing cap cover was leaking oil. The mounts were going to run me $1600 and the timing cap cover fix $2600 for a total of $4200. A big part of the cost was labor and the temporary removal of the engine. I took my car to Mike and for the same job he quoted me $1300 for the mounts and $1600 for the timing cap cover. The reason for the difference is that the dealership charges you labor for both jobs separately (especially removing the engine) when both repairs can be done at the same time. But the story gets better. After taking out the engine Mike discovered that it wasn’t the timing cap cover that was leaking (it’s hard to see without taking out the engine) but actually the oil switch, which had dropped down over the timing cap and down the engine. Would the dealership have been just as forthcoming? In any case, that fix was only $400. So instead of my initial cost of repairs at $4200, it had dropped to $2900, and dropped further to $1700 with the correct diagnosis. I’m very happy with the honest and competent service I received and so is my car, which has been purring like a kitten ever since.

TLDR: don't wait to book an appt with "reputable" brand and get charged 4x the fair price. Go get ripped off by any other shop. I did my research to find a "reputable" shop to do a hitch install. According to the install guide (and an online video from the manufacturer), it's a 30 minute install guide for professionals and 60 mins for amateurs. So color me surprised when I was billed for 2 hrs. When I called to complain, they said it's because "modifications to the car needed to be made" however those said modifications are included in the install guide... Also, they quoted me $115/hr but I was charged $122/hr because I brought my own parts even though I told the receptionist on the phone I was bringing my own parts. Oh and they didn't call me when it was finished (I had to call them)....maybe stalling to say it took extra time 🤣

4 years ago, I gave this place 5 stars, it was the ONLY place I took my car, and I recommended others to take their car here. I took my car here in Feb. Had great service per usual. Then a couple weeks ago, I had my car towed here. I get a call the next day, saying my car had either a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Either way I needed a new engine. I said, well, how much would one be. He gave me a crazy astronomical price (basically a used car) and told me I would have a hard time finding one, as well as a good machine shop... uhm Hello - this is VEGAS!! COME ON!! Meanwhile the entire time he kept throwing in how high my mileage was -(it's a 2007 with 200k miles, I'm the second owner-I know her inside and out!) He spoke to me like I didn't know a thing about cars. And made it sound like mine was dead. I instantly found a new mechanic and had her towed to the new shop the following day. The new mechanic called me, told me a few things were broke and needed to be replaced before he could be certain if anything was going on with the engine, then he called me back the following day, told me all that was wrong, and that it had nothing to do with the head gasket nor the engine. I paid the second mechanic $1200 to get my car back on the road... money this shop missed out on, all because they took one look at the mileage and decided my car wasn't worth their time. They lost a loyal customer and the second shop gained one. This shop being bought out, was the worse thing for the loyal customers.

Excellent service. I took my truck in for a leak and found out my powersteering was on its last leg..22 years... then he recommended I get the undercarriage cleaned to see if there were any other leaks... on my way to get that done..my breaks go completely out... my brake hose was so old it had a hole and detached...I had it towed, and he had the truck back to me in a couple days... and he replace both of the hoses in the front..knowing the other would eventually give out..I appreciated that so much. I took the truck and did like he said and had the motor and uncarriage cleaned... put a new cardboard in my garage under my truck and not a drop of oil. I understand people hate to spend money on car repairs and feel as though they (mechanics) are out to rip you off. This is a skilled craft and Dolar knows his stuff!!! He lets you know exactly what he finds and what need to he done. I couldn't be more grateful... as long as he's in business I'll be taking my truck to him. He is honest, you don't find them like that anymore.

The check engine light came on my 2018 Toyota Corolla. I took it to several places to get it diagnosed and all three places were giving me a different diagnosis and charging me upwards of $1,000 to get it fixed. Thankfully a friend recommended Dolar's Automotive. The lady at the front was really friendly and professional. I dropped my car early in the morning and two hours later I received a call from Dola explaining the results of the diagnosis and the price of the repair (which was $290 with tax!). He took the time to explain in detail the results of the diagnosis and the repair. And they had my vehicle ready the same day! I'm glad that I found an automotive shop where the mechanics are knowledgeable, professional and overall honest. A shop that doesn't try to dry you clean when it comes to fixing your vehicle. If you are looking for a mechanic shop look no further Dolar's Automotive is the spot!

This is the only automotive shop I will go to. I’m always so happy with the service I get here. The people who work here are so nice and upfront about everything, I don’t ever feel like they are trying to upsell me or overcharge me for anything. Also, I had a piece on the front end of my car that has been hanging out for years, and I just noticed it is fixed. I think one time I brought my car in they must have fixed it for me without even mentioning it. They are the absolute best, I recommend them to everyone.
