The staff was great and even the owner personally makes sure everything you need or want is taken care of. Even installed a sensor in my mother in laws truck for free just cuz she had the sensor already and was there when we got my wife's radiator and cooling system fixed.

My uncle highly recommended dons shop to fix my ac.. My hubby is mechanically smart just doesnt have all the tools and time so he knows oir car... And already tried to add frion to the car and it leaked out the followinf day. He was sure to tell dons shop this.... They had my car all day on a Wednesday to run the dye and assess the problem. I got a call they said they found the leak and it was $417 to fix... They replaced 1 hose. Ok... W.e. i have a 1yr oldand its hot so go ahead and fix it, i told the lady. We pick up the car... Ac blowing cold. Were happy satisfied customers. The next day its blowing hot again. We call and tell dons shop and they say bring it to look. We take it in and the guy who did the work comes to look and talk to us. First thing he said upset me very much! He said well.... I never ran the dye bc i would visibly see the thec hose was leaking. Even if u Think u see the problem on the surface why wouldnt you still run the dye to see if there were any other leaks!? Also... Why was i charged for the dye (like45$) when it was never ran in the first place.?? So i leave the car with them another whole day and they call saying now it will be another $475 ... This is including labor mind u... Labor that was never done but paid for in the first place. So i told Don - i feel a little upset that Your employee has made us come up here 4 times now as well as the fact that u want to charge us More labor for something Your shop didnt so right the first time. Once i told Don something he didnt want to hear he got very defensive and started telling us he doesnt want to fix it he wants to refund our money and send us on our way. We immediately shook his hand and agreed thats definately what we want to do as well. Needless to say they are ripping ppl off. I called for the part they first replaced at auto zone... $50... So i paid u 350$$$$ in labor that was not done in the first place!?!?!?!?! Also they threw away my old part so they took off the new one leaving my car missing a part. Idk if its even safe honestly!!!!! Dont do business with them... They will burn a hole in ur pocket and be shady while doing it.

We took our car there to get the heatercore fixed, they charge us $800+ and when we pick our car up it had all kind of lights on in the dash and we drove only 30 miles and it ran hot! So we took it back to them only for them to tell me something else was broke so basically we paid them $800+ the cause more problem and to not even have what we paid for to be fixed! No one has an answer is to Why that happen! They just ask for more money to be exact $1300 more for a miner problem that wasn't fixed in the first place! I don't Recommend anyone go to them! They will rip you off just like they did me! Smh

I know I grew up around this since my dad owns a mechanical & electrical repair shop, but big thumbs up for small business auto repair shops who will replace a burned out headlight in the pouring rain 30 minutes before business hours and take it on faith that you will return after going to your daughter's spelling bee to pay since their billing person doesn't come in until 8:30. Great where the shop owner asks after your husband and father-in-law. Huge thank you & thumbs up to Don's Radiator in La Porte, TX!

I have done business with Don's for around 15 years now, both with personal vehicles, as well as at work. I have sent them everything! They have repaired Mack, Freightliner, Kenworth, Dodge Super Duty and Ford Super Duty radiators! They have helped me get machines back in service countless times. From Mid sized tractors mowing pipeline right-of-ways, to Dozers so big it took 4 of us to get them out of my truck! They have also cleaned and treated quite a few fuel tanks that either had rust trying to take over inside, or Ford Super Duty's that had the lining coming out and ruining injectors!!! All the staff, as well as Don and Donald, have always been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, polite and accommodating. They have ALWAYS gone above and beyond, to solve whatever issues I brought to them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone. I have sent my wife, members of my family and her family there, and never been disappointed!!!

We are evacuees from Lake Charles area 6 days post Hurricane Laura. Mr. Don Sr. Helped us out fixing a generator so that we could have alittle electricity when we go back home. At best full power will be restored in a month or 2. Mr. Don is an outstansing man with a very kind heart. Please concider giving him your business if you are in the area

Don’s radiator shop messed up my car and tried to blame someone else. I believe the good reviews are all fake, because the experience I have with him is the same as the negative ones. Look at the similar tone in all the negative reviews. He does not know how to work on vehicles and he doesn’t mind taking your money for something he doesn’t know how to do. He robbed me of my last 500 dollars to tear my car up. I wish Don would have been more honest and just told me he doesn’t know how to work on my car. I can respect an honest mechanic, but Don is not a respectable guy. When he told me 400 then jumped up to 529 for one hose and a thermostat I should have ran but now all I can do is walk. Thank you Don hope you have one hell of a party on my money.

This is the kind of people you get to deal with when you deal with Don's Radiator Shop: I bought a radiator from Don in circa 2014, it came with a lifetime warranty. In 2019 the radiator cracked and leaked. I called the shop asking about how to exercise the lifetime warranty, but they could not find record of my purchase and i did not keep up with my receipt. As i described what i remembered about my purchase in 2014 they agreed that if i brought in my radiator they would identify it as their represented brand and be able to honor the warranty. Thinking it was all set up and lined out i sent the radiator to the shop with my wife for the simple exchange, but low and behold, no one could find the identifier on the radiator. They took an additional step of diligence and brought the radiator to the supplier's warehouse so they could look for the markings. The verdict was, no positive identification could be found and without a proof of purchase no warranty could be honored. Without delay Don Sr. told my wife he was picking up the tab on a replacement radiator and she would be on her way in 15 minutes. I was one happy "repeat" customer. If you have need of Don's services do yourself a favor and give him an opportunity to earn your patronage.

I had a fitting on the oil cooler off my hybrid Chevy truck that I went to 4 different shops all said nope couldn't do it not only did Don's get it done but even after I told them the opposite direction the fitting went they didn't charge me twice to reweld it the right direction I am thankful I highly recommend Don's radiator the nicest group of gentleman from the top of the ladder on down guy's have my respect an business

Dropped a fuel tank for a motorcycle off to have some pinholes repaired. Picked it up wrapped in shrink wrap for protection but once I got it home and unwrapped it, it was definitely not in the condition that we spoke about. Called and talked to Mr. Don who told me to bring it back and he'd make it right. Dropped it back off amd they did everything they could, but ended up that the tank was just too far gone to make it look decent again. So after all the work the did, Mr. Don still refunded my money for me. Excellent customer service in a difficult situation! Very easy to deal with and willing to make it right!

Absolutely terrible experience at Don’s Industrial Radiator Services. I brought my car in to get the A/C unit replaced, and what should have been a straightforward job turned into a disaster. First, they broke a bolt during the repair—and instead of taking responsibility, I was forced to pay $600 out of pocket to replace it just to get the job done. That alone was frustrating, but it didn’t stop there. The repair took a week and a half longer than quoted, with zero communication or updates unless I reached out first. When I finally got my vehicle back, I noticed they had cracked a piece of my dashboard, and it was clear they completely botched reattaching the steering column. One of the two main bolts holding it in was missing entirely, and the other was seized and loose—not even tightened properly. On top of that, two additional nuts weren’t tightened, which caused the entire steering column to shake dangerously while driving and turning. A mechanic later told me that if I had kept driving like that, the column could’ve dropped into my lap—a major safety hazard that could have caused a serious accident. This place is careless, unprofessional, and clearly not equipped to handle anything beyond basic radiator work—if that. Avoid Don’s at all costs. I’m now stuck paying to fix their mistakes and grateful nothing worse happened before I caught it.
