Both of the guys who helped me had exceptional customer service. The emissions service was taken care of quickly and was a fare price. I highly recommend this location.

Had a scheduled appointment for an alignment and brake check. I was able to use a 10% coupon discount I received in the mail. They have a waiting room but no outlets available to plug in to work while waiting. Unfortunately, there's not a Starbucks or McDonald's next to the building to plug in and use WiFi or charge your device. I arrived prepared to be able to work while I waited for the approximate 2 hour service job.

A friend of mine recommended Driver’s Edge to me. I took my car in for an inspection and I had a horrible rattling sound coming from the engine. The technicians tightened some bolts and did my inspection in no time. I also got a quote for scheduled maintenance on the car. Joe (I think that’s his name) was so helpful, friendly and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Driver’s Edge!

This place is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Especially for me, as a Korean who isn’t very good at English, J. Torregano at the front desk—if I got the name right—was extremely kind, explaining everything and responding patiently. I was worried because my car had an issue, but they said it’s okay to come even without an appointment. I’m really grateful for everything.

Great service. Completed in a very timely manner. Not sure if he's the manager, but Joe was the guy who greeted customers. He was polite and very professional.

I would describe Driver's Edge in Allen as fast and efficient. I mostly bring my cars here for state inspections because of convenience, but I have also seen firsthand how Joe and his team engage with customers - they are detailed, honest about costs, and get rave reviews every time. If you are after speedy, reliable service, I definitely recommend them!

Great service! They were proactive in diagnosing what was wrong with my car and working with my extended warranty company to get the repair covered. Always picked up the phone when I called for an update. Took great care of our family vehicle 👍

really great service. Fixed the problem I had for over a year that four other mechanics had not fixed and did it for the right price on time.. Super friendly guys at the front desk. Feels more like a medical clinic for cars. These guys know what they’re talking about..

I had a really pleasant experience at the Driver’s Edge McDermott Road location in Allen, Texas. I used the website to book a same day appointment for an oil change; even though I arrived a little early, the staff was enthused to see me and fit my car into their schedule. The wait was nominal (maybe 40 minutes?) - I wait much longer at the dealership, so this was amazing! Price was good, and technician Daneil took great care with my SUV. I will be back and do recommend!

The staff is so friendly! It was cold outside and I was waiting outside for them to open for a state inspection. They opened early for me and I was in and out super fast! Thank you for your excellent customer service

I’m hesitant to leave this review because I’ve had good experiences here in the past, but since I won’t be returning, I feel it’s worth posting as a PSA. I had a blower motor that was obviously failing. I knew I could replace it myself for about $60 (non-OEM part), but I wanted a professional diagnosis anyway. That alone cost me $99, which I understand — time isn’t free. They came back with a quote of over $1,000 to replace the blower motor and the blower motor resistor. Over $1,000?! Let’s break this down. For my vehicle, an OEM blower motor is $95.50, and an OEM resistor is $68.54 (both genuine factory parts). That’s $164.04 in parts. Replacing both would take well under an hour, so the labor costs are minimal. I understand they have to mark up the parts. It's not a charity. They have to make money. However, I called around to other shops. The average price for a job like this was around $500 to replace both. Still a bit pricey to me, but not over $1k. I purchased a non-OEM blower motor for $60 and installed it myself in under 10 minutes — and I’m not exactly a certified mechanic. The AC works great now. No issues. Additionally, the resistor did not need to be replaced. A failing resistor has very specific symptoms, and my car never showed a single one. So I checked again. Most places would replace the blower motor in the $350 - $375 range, a significant difference. It’s a good thing I checked parts pricing beforehand. I’ve had fine experiences here in the past, but this completely soured me on the shop. I won’t be returning — not even for an oil change. The one positive takeaway is that I gained confidence in handling some basic car maintenance myself. If you’ve had a good experience here, great — but I would never trust a quote from them again. Do yourself a favor: look up the parts and do a quick YouTube search. You might be able to fix it yourself and save hundreds of dollars.

I can’t say enough nice things about this team. Each time we’ve brought a vehicle in, they’ve done a great job explaining the issues and making us feel safe once we get the vehicle back. Our recent visit was more than what we thought but there were some significant issues. It definitely beats having to buy a new car.
