Just terrible. My husband went for an oil change, they recommended changing the brake fluid for "x" amount, he agreed however when he went to pay, the total was $200 more than he was told! Looking over the itemized receipt, there were things supposedly done that were not previously disclosed to him plus shop fees for their "gloves". Sorry but never again!

**Kwik Kar Allen, TX - Dangerously Incompetent** I took my car to Kwik Kar in Allen, TX, for a full oil change, fluid inspection, and tire rotation. What I got instead was blatant negligence that put my car—and my family’s safety—at serious risk. Shortly after leaving, my engine started smoking. When I opened the hood, I discovered they had left the brake fluid cap off, causing fluid to spill all over the engine bay. This is basic auto maintenance 101, and they failed. When I returned, manager Nicholas Colvin and his team refused to take responsibility. They replaced the $7 cap they lost but didn’t bother cleaning the engine, which is still smoking. Now I’m stuck paying to have it professionally cleaned. Worse, I noticed they failed to top off my coolant, which was dangerously low. This so-called “inspection” was careless at best and outright reckless at worst. Their attitude was just as appalling as their work. They shrugged off the issue, calling it “not a big deal,” offered a pathetic $25 credit instead of refunding my service, and hung up on me when I tried to hold them accountable. This level of incompetence is beyond unacceptable. Leaving brake fluid to leak and ignoring low coolant could have caused brake failure, an engine fire, or worse. Considering I was about to take a 2,000-mile trip with my family, their negligence could have had catastrophic consequences. Kwik Kar Allen is a safety hazard. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic competence makes them unfit to service any vehicle. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Location, Allen, TX by the police department. Convenient because its close to home. I had an oil change to my car, it was quick! I was satisfied, but my air filter wasn't put back properly. The reason I know that is because it's happened before, but this time when I went back to get it fixed (to put screw back on or shut correctly) the man was annoyed! He didn't try to fix it, he told me the whistling sound wasn't that (though it's happened before). I should be the one annoyed, since I had to come back for something that's happened before. He said the screw that was missing, it wasn't a guarantee that it was there when it was changed. I'm disappointed and upset. I think he's a new employee, I've never seen him there before. I just want it fixed. Not a big deal, seems simple. I kindly asked him to close my hood since I didn't want to argue with him. It takes 2 to argue. I refuse to go back! Unless someone will reach out to fix it. If not, the 1 star is staying. The man that couldnt solve my issue had a nice white beard. UPDATE: I DID RECEIVE A CALL FROM BILLY THE DISTRICT MANAGER. HE APOLOGIZED AND OFFERED TO FIX IT. HE SAID HE ORDERED THE SCREW FOR MY AIR FILTER AND WOULD LET ME KNOW WHEN IT WAS READY, I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK AFTER THAT. It's okay though, I went to a shop down the street from them, near the library (Allen Automotive Repair) ... night and day! Turns out, it just wasn't closed properly...so they closed it and now it's fixed..no more whistling sound.

Hardly zero communication. Staff seemed bothered by me being there. Went for a simple oil change and did not have any selection to choose from. The guy just said “full synthetic oil change?” while rushing me out of my drivers seat. Felt like I had no option to choose. Definitely need some better training at this location. Your customers should not seem like an inconvenience.

Have been taking vehicles there for a couple years. Last week, I brought in one for a state inspection / emissions test. It did not go well. The service was quick, I was called up and paid and went out to the car. The tech was standing right there and handed me the key, I got in and drove off. No problem. No wait, big problem. When I got back and tried to update my registration I noticed the paperwork said the car FAILED the emissions test. No one mentioned it while I was on site. I called the shop and they said the OBDII connector was bad and it could not be passed. $18.50. I went immediately to the dealer who inspected the connector, ran the test, and a passed it without a glitch. They also specifically said there was nothing wrong with the connector or anything else. So, that means either the technician OR the tester at Kwik Kar was at fault. I called the shop and told them what happened. What I got back was 'we can retest and pass it' and 'we can help with the state paperwork'. Well, it already passed, so? What I really wanted was a simple 'sorry' and 'how about a refund or your next oil change free?' Something. Got nothing. I filled out their in-house survey, and got no reachout back. Nothing. 1-star and lost a customer. For $18.50. Update 1: I did reply back as requested below. We'll see if it amounts to anything. Update 2: As I guessed the response from the owner was a bot and they have not followed up.

Had a very fun time here, First, I wanna start off by saying the guy that pulled my car in was a very respectful Had a long gray hair He was a cool guy, The rest of the staff not so much, especially the manager I went in to go get a oil change. They told me full service synthetic was 89.99 When I got my receipt, the charge was for 123 While trying to explain to the person why this didn’t make sense the manager then comes up and says it makes total sense That’s what everybody pays He didn’t proceeded to start trying to get loud with me Causing some of the employees to come out and start to get loud with me too The manager then proceeded to call me remarks Saying that I was retarded Now I don’t know if this is the customer service that kwik kar has always had, But I sincerely think you should consider not taking your car to this Location also to mention, the people seen that this lady’s filter was perfectly fine and tried to charge her extra 45 bucks for a new filter Also, the photo below on the left side is the quick car in Allen Texas on the right side is the quick car in Dallas, Texas this just goes to show that these guys are scamming people
