This shop with honest and experienced people fixed my car in a short time and I am so glad that my friend recommended it to me. They are amazing and skilled mechanics that you can trust! Great service done in a timely manner. These guys are awesome, and very honest. I came in because jiffy lube said I was needing new breaks and the Honda dealership told me I needed new fluids, turns out I only needed an oil change and a tire rotation. This is the only place I take my cars to in Raleigh. They are both honest and effective - the two most important qualities I look for when someone is servicing my vehicles. I have used their services for oil changes, tire replacement, brakes, inspections, status light issues and more. I’ve also had them perform in-person reviews of cars that I was planning on purchasing. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. They are often busy so schedule ahead!

I’m giving Duty Tire & Service Center a 1 Star review not for the service I requested, but for the carelessness of my vehicle and the customer service which followed. I scheduled an appointment to get a screw removed from my tire and a patch put in. Within 15 minutes of arrival, I was told the screw did not puncture the tire. Great! No patch needed! However, as I drove off (maybe 15 seconds down the road), I noticed there was a huge scratch in my steering wheel that was not there when I brought my vehicle in for service! As I was rushing to work (my second week on the job, so I could not be late) I had to call Duty Tire rather than turn around. I explained to them the issue with the damage and they gave me a phone number to text photos. I proceeded to text a photo showing the damage to my steering wheel (shown below). It is the bottom left corner of the wheel. After going back and forth a bit, they denied damaging my vehicle. However, I did not bring my vehicle there with a damaged steering wheel. I keep my vehicle in immaculate condition. I also was just serviced at my dealer a day prior and had photos of my vehicle showing no damage! Duty Tire asked me for the photo and I texted them the photo showing no damage to my steering wheel (also shown below). After doing so, I was told not to use that number anymore. Fair enough, as this was probably a personal cell phone. I was given a number to call Dave. After multiple calls to this new number, and voicemails, they do not seem to care to correct their mistake and fix my steering wheel. This is unacceptable for any business to be able to damage your vehicle and simply not fix it or make it right! I just moved here from NY so I chose Duty Tire & Service Center based off google reviews that I read here, and also their ability to accommodate my schedule. However, now every time that I get into my vehicle, I can SEE and FEEL the reason why no other customers should trust Duty Tire & Service Center with servicing their vehicle. If they damage your vehicle, they will not do anything to make it right and simply blame the customer. However, I have visual proof that they damaged my vehicle and they’re simply going off word of mouth that they didn’t damage my vehicle. Also, this really isn’t too big of a deal, but they set my tire pressures all too high. I heard the tech ask the service advisor if he should check tire pressures. Advisor said to set them all to what the door jamb says. My door jamb sticker states 45-46psi for max car load. My tires were all set to 50-51psi which is the max for the tires themselves. Again, not really a big deal since I took some air out of the tires. But even a simple task such as setting tire pressures was not done correctly.

This business taught me a first-hand lesson about why tires should not be over-inflated. The people here were very friendly and they told me they do all kinds of service, not just tires. I trusted the pros to work on my tires. I left happy with a smooth ride. However, they over-inflated the tires. My brand-new tires wore out extremely quickly! After less than half the time of the old ones, these new ones were much more worn-out than the old ones ever were. Little chunks nearly coming out of the edges, and near the center line the tires were balder than bald. My tires should be 35 PSI. When I checked them and found they were ~43 PSI, I assumed it was fine because Duty Tire left it that way. Lesson learned: I should have let some air out of the tires sooner. I will always double check from now on. Still, I expect better from a place like this-- the customer should not have to double-check their work!

We called and made an appointment for my teenage son to take his Jetta in for a check engine light. The guys at the shop were very helpful and friendly. They diagnosed the issue and gave a quote. They didn't charge for the diagnostic and even suggested that we try calling the dealer to see if we could get the part cheaper. I called the VW dealer and they were quite a bit higher so we will gladly take our business back to Duty Tire. I had heard that Duty Tire was great, but now I can say that I think they are trustworthy and fair with pricing. Their communication as I tried to help my son navigate car repairs was also very much appreciated.

My family and I have been going here for years with only positive experiences. I’ve moved away a few states and was told I needed brake pads replaced. Fortunately, i was able to line up a Duty Tire appointment to get it done with a visit back in Raleigh. Duty Tire let me know quickly that the brake pads had plenty of life left, saving me hundreds (versus the quote i received elsewhere) and charging me nothing. I’d recommend to anyone!
