Scamming! Charge 600 for a diagnostic they didn’t even have ready at time of pickup…mentioned they had to take the transmission apart to do the diagnostic but never mentioned it wasn’t going to be placed back in the van stating “it isn’t part of the job”! Then why not tell us from the get go? So now we’re out 600 for diagnostic and still had to pay tow truck to haul it back home WITHOUT a transmission in the van! What kind of business is that?? Very poor communication! As a business DO BETTER!

AMAZING SERVICE! Was able to get my car and looked at it same day and have me taken care of. The team here are hands down top notch and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer was taken care of!

Had my F-150’s rear differential fixed here, and they did a fantastic job. Great guys, kept me updated throughout, and charged a fair price. Truck’s running smooth again—highly recommend!

I have very mixed reviews from this shop. Ernie is a great business owner and went above and beyond for me as a person. However when it came time to do the job the shop faltered. Had an electrical issue with my transmission, which would not shift. The issue was tracked down to the TCM and all charges were $4 grand for a computer replacement. However when I left the shop I got a tool box that was removed from my truck and never returned, and confirmed it was at the shop. Also my truck has a check engine light on that apparently wasn't covered in the cost of the TCM replacement. It was requested I return to the shop later, which I unfortunately had a job conflict to pay for the replacement. While a part of me wants to give 5 stars to the owner the rest of the shop is subpar in my experience.

Brought my 2016 ford focus in on 8/27/24 after my car broke down on me on my way to work. I had just bought it and it was only off the lot for 3 days !! Such a crummy situation. Luckily Eagle Transmission & auto repair were right down the street and I am so happy I made this choice ! They let me know that my clutch was broken but I was back & rolling by 8/29/24 ! I was in such a bad mood because of what this dealership put me through but Ernie & his staff cheered me right up ! Very wholesome environment ❤️

I appreciate all the help from you guys! They made the process with my dealership warranty easy. I moved to Texas about a year ago and I am typically very nervous about bringing my car to shops- as i usually do all my own maintenance work, but they were very attentive, nice, and efficient within their work. They diagnosed & completed repairs within a timely manner. My car feels new!

After talking to three different shops, all of whom weren't much help and wanted way too much money, decided to take my 2015 Tahoe here. Ernie was more than polite and explained in detail what they'd do, what it would cost, and delivered ahead of schedule. Even after the sell he continued to provide excellent guidance in how to keep this trans running like new. Don't let the location fool you. This is a group of hard working mechanics who specialize in transmission work. Would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

I’m sorry if this appears to be sad. The truth is this: Why is it that small service providers do things deceptively? Yes, I must have been the right kind of succor when I went into this shop. I didn’t want to, but my riders were taking notice to a jerking feeling while starting, stopping, and even while driving. I asked JD to take a look to see if there was anything he could do to help me. He took my car out for a test drive and came back in reporting that my transmission was shot, and needed replacing (2019 Cadillac, 120k miles). During the course of the next week, I believe that this happened. JD saw the desperation in my eyes and he and Ernie congered up a great scam. You see, after the project was finished, I took the car out and had the exact same problems as before. When I asked JD about, he said that the front control arms on both sides were shot and caused some of the problem. Six months go by and I’m still fighting the same problems. I did have someone else replace them as well as the knuckle and ball joints, which were visibly past worn out. I was surprised when the major parts of the problem returned. It turns out that the problem was in one or more of the engine sensors. They were sending codes to the engine saying that there was an imbalance to my gas/air mix. Problem resolved $11k later! Now, going back I went in still upset how things turned out, and asked JD how he knew the transmission was bad. He said, well the fluid was very dark creating jada, jada, jada! Now lets go back to Ernie. Ernie called me up and rattled off some numbers and then said, to rebuild this transmission, it would cost about $8800. A brand new transmission would cost $9000. So of course I agreed to the new one. I asked Ernie if he could pad the quote a bit, because I hadn’t made any money and was out. Later he said he was able to get me $1,000. After he got paid by my bank, he came to my apartment and gave me $500. It was wrong of me to ask, but extremely unethical and unlawful to do it. If you think you’d still like to use their business, go ahead. But, if they got me then maybe this is how they do business… like a moray eel!

If i could leave zero stars i would. I DROVE my work van to this place to get it checked out and to get an estimate on fixing the transmission. The owner at first said it would be $200 for a diagnostic. The next day he calls me that they needed to remove and open the transmission to do further inspection and that it would be $650. Which i agreed too, then the next day he calls me and hits me with a ridiculous quote of over $5k to rebuild the transmission which at this point i declined the repair. He said okay and if i could Pick up the van. I waited a little over a week, and on the day i was planning on picking up the van i called The shop in the morning letting them know that i would be going around noon to get the van and asked for confirmation on the amount due, the person on the phone told me $650 cash. At noon i get there, guy at the front told me that owner wasn’t there that he had gone to lunch and that he was working on my receipt and report and that he could call me when it was ready. He then again told me it was $650 cash. I gave him the money and he gave me the keys. It was not until then that he asked me i had a tow truck ready. Apparently they in fact removed and opened up the transmission but never bothered on putting it back. They left it in the back of the van and the van was no longer driveable. They failed to mention this to me from the get go, i would have never agreed for them to proceed with removing the transmission if they would off told me that they will not be putting it back together. So now I’m out $650, $100 for towing and stuck with a van that is now junk. It’s been over a day and i never got a call back from the owner, never got a receipt and never got a report.

I take my moms car and mine here whenever I need a good honest mechanic to work on our cars. They are very helpful and patent and help explain every step in the process that they are about to work on. I’ve been going here for about 8 years and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for that Old Time Service with the New Modern workmanship. Ask for Ernie!!! He’s a good man!!

I'd give this shop TEN stars if I could. The transmission in my truck was rebuilt and worked on by 3 prior shops and it still wasn't right. Ernie and his staff took it and assured me from the beginning they could get it right and they did. This place is a gem and a place you can trust to get your transmission done right.

Ill say this Carrie and Ernie built my transmission and replaced motor in my Grand Marquis, yes sometimes communication is hazy and timelines are pushed back however it's a busy business. I must say that when Ernie sees you as family and not just a routing customer they really take care of you. It's been awhile but I hope that these one star reviews aren't to tarnish this company

This place deserves 0 stars. I'll give them 1 because you have to, but also because they did get my car back to me same day. They charged me over $1000 for a $600-700 repair. Didn't even replace all of the hoses like they said they were, and didn't even fill up the coolant to the correct level. And to top it off, and I don't know why, because even though they over charged me, I would have still gone back to fix the other issues I knew needed to be fixed. But now I won't. As soon as I got my car back, it was driving rough, which it had not been before hand. Check engine light came on. The intentionally damaged my spark plugs and ignition cylinder. That engine has only been in my car for a year, even had a check up about 6 months ago. Spark plugs and all were in good working order. They touched my car and now I have to spend even more to take it somewhere else to be fixed. Do not trust them, do not go to them. You will regret it. I'm pretty sure most of the good reviews are friends and family of the employees so they don't do back handed crap to make people come back. Even the dealership would have only cost me $650 for parts and labor.

Drop off car at 7:30am and I had to call multiple times( 5) to get a response. Ernie.. finally called back about 4pm. Not very professional site. They need to update their way of communication. Hopefully car will be ready tomorrow mid day as stated.

I own a 4 truck plumbing company and had problems with a 2017 Pro master van.I had already placed a review for my first dealing. With this company which was also five star.I was asked to bring my van back after a couple weeks. So they could check the work that they had done. To recap a bit of what had happened before.I had lost faith in service shops and mechanics having wasted a lot of money that never had my truck running correctly. I just wanted to report that my van has been running flawlessly, and i'm very happy with the work that was performed there. Thanks to Ernie and his techs.

“I’d hate to see a young girl get taken advantage of”, said the owner & that’s exactly what happened here. Thousands of dollars later, issue still not corrected! The first time we dropped car off, things went well from a communication standpoint. Picked vehicle up, car stalled out the same night resulting in an accident. Returned vehicle because it’s under warranty, left car. They had my vehicle for about 3.5 months before transferring to a dealership to be checked out. The vehicle sat at dealership for almost 3 weeks, I had to get involved by making calls just to get an update because the owner kept telling me he’d either call me back or placing blame on the dealership. Come to find out, the dealership had no knowledge of why the car was dropped off in the first place. The whole process has been an inconvenience. I could go on, but I’ll just say this… ZERO accountability was taken resulting in poor management. 0/10…do not recommend.

A friend recommended Eagle when we found we needed a new transmission on a '09 Ford. Ernie rebuilt it good as new. He called every day to keep us updated on the progress and checked it two weeks later to make sure it was running perfectly. Honest, dependable and they truly are transmission experts! They guarantee and warranty their work too. Highly recommend!
