Everything was great! We were on our way to Florida from California and drove all the way to New Mexico and kept hearing this scratching noise in our truck. We thought we weren't gunna make it but Keith was able to help with our truck and get us back on the road in as little as an hour. Visited this shop today to do a pre-purchase inspection of a vehicle we were interested in from a local dealer. The owner was very accommodating to our last minute squeeze in as well as very informative of his findings. On top of that, he was quick and very fairly priced. Ended up purchasing the car after his review and would recommend this shop to others. Also, one of the only shops we found in town open on Saturdays!

We had to replace our bearing wheel while traveling across the country. Egan was super kind and honest with us. Opened the garage early in the morning for us and finished the job in 2 hours! His price was by far the lowest after doing some research! Go there!!!!!!!!!!

He was honest about why he wouldn’t work on my vehicle. Very blunt which is okay but it’s the chuckle at the end that left me feeling a little hurt. Again his shop so you got to respect his wishes. Vehicle in question was a carb swap chevy. Also if you have carb swap vehicles he will call them a Frankenstein which isn’t correct because it’s Frankenstein Monsters. So Egan I hope you read this and educate yourself for future insults.

Egan is friendly, helpful and thorough! I am moving cross country to CA and was 3 hours out of Las Cruces when my car began to vibrate. After fearing the worst (a bad U joint etc.) we brought my car to Egan. He lifted my vehicle and diagnosed a bad tire within 30 minutes. Being in an unfamiliar town with car issues is not ideal but Egan gave us piece of mind and great service.

I live in Denver and my son is in Las Cruces. I always do everything myself when it comes to car repair/maintenance but when your son is 10 hours away that does not work. Based on the symptoms it indicated his car had an alternator issue which in most cars is not a big deal but in a Lincoln MKX/Ford Edge it is really problematic as this things is buried and hard to replace. So next task was to find a mechanic that could help him and I was not expecting much as there are plenty of horror stories especially when dealing with dealerships as they seem to write with brooms vs pens. Based on local reviews I called Egan's auto repair as the review all focused on honest, personal, knowledgeable reasonably priced and did I mention honest and nice people. WOW WOW WOW what a fantastic experience this has been. It started with the first call where I explained the situation and if they could help my son soon as he was trying to get home this week. The kindness and empathy came through loud and clear and that continued throughout the day by taking care of my kid like it was their own. Without asking they went as far as checking the whole system and tightening things up (neutral on battery) as another possible cause. After running that for an hour without issue he called us and stated he expected that was all it was which would make it super cheap. Because the alternator already had 145.000 miles on it I wanted to be certain and asked him if he could still go ahead and change it just to be sure as there is a lot of no man’s land between Las Cruces and Denver. He was happy to do that and he got it done quickly. Cost for all this work was super reasonable (lower than I anticipated frankly) and matched the estimate. I don't remember ever having a better “car” experience and that only got amplified because they gave my son an awesome experience. I never heard of Egan’s automotive till this Monday, but I am very grateful as it was an above and beyond experience which prompted me to write this review. They are a gem in Las Cruces and certainly deserve any business they get. You are not going go wrong checking them out if you have any kind of car issue. If they were in Denver, I would just stop doing this car stuff myself but have not found this type of shop here yet.

My husband and I recently moved to Las Cruces from Indiana and drove our car cross-country. It randomly broke down on us two weeks after arriving. The car wouldn’t scan and we were genuinely worried it might be totaled after a different mechanic couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Egan quickly figured out the problem, despite not being able to scan the vehicle. I would highly recommend this repair shop to anyone. I was visiting my daughter moved to Las Cruces a year ago for school. I wanted to get her car maintanance done before school restarts. I was very nervious about where to take her car. I read the reviews for Egan Auto Repair and know that was the place to go. Everything went well and his prices were affordable. Egan spoke with me about her brakes and I ask if he should just replace them and he said they did not need to be replaced; he would work on them and that should resolve the issue. I was impressed because he had an opportunity to make another $400 and something dollars, instead Egan was honest about the brakes. I believe that Egan is just an honest man who enjoys helping people keep their car in good running condition. I am back in California now and I don't have to worry about my daughter's car. Thanks Egan, I really appreciate you doing such a wonderful job on my daughters car.
