Brought my car in after an accident asking to see if the coolant leak could be mitigated. The cap was missing and they said that was the cause of the leak. They charged for a cap and refilling the system (even though I had coolant in the passenger seat) around $100 or so. I pick up my car and let it idle for a few minutes and saw a coolant leak immediately and the front office guy said it was because the radiator was damaged. I said okay, it is what it is, and drove away. Next day they call me and tell me that the radiator cap that they charged me for was actually at the shop and that means I was driving around with no cap. If they can’t remember to put a cap on, or at least tell the customer that there is no cap, just imagine what else they forget to do.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Emory Transmission. Rick, Andy, Mark are all outstanding and honest. I take all 4 of my vehicles to them. Never a doubt what's needs done and never a doubt with the cost. They always provide excellent service, always provide an estimate as to what things are going to cost. Do not go here! My Beautiful Escalade is junk now because I had then diagnose a problem. They spent a total of less than five minutes in that diagnostic and tried to charge me $85 which they had never mentioned until that moment that I refused to pay. Out of spite, they turned it into Carfax so my third-party insurance would not cover the cost of transmission replacement months down the road! This is not a good business practice.

I had a great experience with Emory Transmissions. They did an excellent job fixing my work van, everything was done quickly, professionally, and with great attention to detail. What really stood out was their customer service. After I dropped off the van, they went the extra mile and provided me with a ride back home, which was incredibly helpful and much appreciated. OVERPRICED AND UNSYMPATHETIC. I got quoted 5,600 for a new transmission, not including labor so I took it to our previous mechanic (we live an hour away now so we needed to find a new one) and they quoted us 3,500 total!! Emory’s could not accommodate a ride home or back to the shop like another review said they offer, because they were short-staffed. ok understandable. However, Travis then refused to wave our $40 uber fee from the SURPRISE $87 “check fee” ???? because that is a “fair price” … I understand paying to get a job done but I have NEVER heard of a shop charging a “check fee”. I explained that I have not been to work in about a month because of our SUV being out of commission, therefore are funds are EXTREMELY low at the moment and their answer remained the same. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to be overcharged.

I had an excellent experience with this shop. I brought in a JDM car that was just imported, which has a 9-digit VIN, and they handled the state inspection with no issues. They were knowledgeable, professional, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. The process was smooth, everything was explained clearly, and they did an amazing job on my car.
