Highly advise anyone to take their business elsewhere! These guys will misdiagnose your car almost charge you double what another shop would. Then be vindictive and say they helped the other shop diagnose your car, but yet they quoted you something completely unrelated. Waste of $350 for lies and not to mention their manager doesn’t call back when they’re called out!

Our car was towed to Empys for repair. Greg was amazing with communicating with us regarding the car and giving us explanations as to what may have caused the problem. We are going to do more business with them, including oil changes, which is better prices than big chain companies

I have always received great service at Empey's. The problem is they are so darn good, sometimes it takes a week or so to get in for service. On the last visit I was pleasantly suprised to be able to book a same day appointment. Greg, the service writer, is always patient and helpful in explaining things, and if you need a ride home you might find yourself riding with the owner. Truly a family run business.

I picked them based off an ad, but they came recommended by my master tech friend as well. They were really helpful and communicated professionally. We needed help getting our vehicle back on the road for the weekend and they miraculously were able to get all the parts ordered and installed in like 3 days. Fair and clear pricing and great service. They even washed and vacuumed it (happy wife!). We were able to make the drive to Ogden and back on Sunday. Runs perfectly. I can’t recommend Empey’s strongly enough! Great people, from the techs to the front office to management. As an out of town stranger, my son and I got the kind of service that you’d think was reserved for family and friends. We were on a long road trip and had a coolant leak that was going to be difficult to get at and repair. We called several shops…none of whom offered to look at it anytime soon. One of the shops recommended Empey’s, we called and they said to bring it in and they’d look. We got there 2 hours before closing and they began working on it immediately. The job was done… and done correctly in 2.5 hours. The other shops thought it could take as much as a week. All the shop personnel at Empey’s went above and beyond to get us back on the road. Empey’s is the kind of shop that most of us would consider long gone. Skilled techs working in a well appointed shop, doing good work and charging a fair price. That’s not something you find on every corner, in fact it’s difficult to find just about anywhere. If I were local to the area I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere but Empey’s.

I was looking for an honest and dependable auto service center and received some info in the mail from Empy’s. I checked their reviews and had some good ratings. After about a year with using Empy’s, I’m very pleased with their work. They always explain things and do a nice job with the inspections. I sometimes do repairs and maintenance myself and other places just give you a list based on the age or mileage without looking at the vehicle. But Empy’s does the actual inspection to validate the condition. As parts and service have increased in price everywhere, getting the necessary service from someone you trust is the most important thing. Thank you to the people at Empy’s.

Best mechanic shop in Idaho. Rolled into Empey’s coming from Dillon, MT on a 1200 mile trip. Had a pin whole leak spewing coolant from freeze plug on back of engine block (very tight awkward spot). By the time we got to shop it was gushing coolant. Other shops said it could be a week or more before they could get to it and they would likely have to pull the engine. Greg at Empeys said they would do what they could and look at it, at the least. Two hours later they had the plug replaced using tools that allowed them to get to it non invasively. Greg in the front was awesome to talk to on the phone and a gem in person. The owner and techs were out standing. On the road currently thanks to all the guys at Empeys.

Outstanding customer service! My Chevy Tahoe began making a horrible noise and felt unsafe to drive. I parked alongside the road and called Empey’s. Their tow truck driver arrived within 20 minutes and eased my fears. The next morning, Empey’s sent me an electronic report detailing all of the issues. They answered all of my questions on the phone and were able to make all of the repairs in a timely manner. When I picked up my Tahoe, they were kind and very professional. I highly recommend them!
