I was happy with all the work and care they showed me. They even looked over the whole truck for other potential issues that may need repairs now or soon. I am driving it with confidence now after the service and will return when needed.

I did not make an appointment. Walked in and asked if they could do a state inspection. They said it would take 30 minutes - did I have time to wait. I did! They were finished before 30 minutes. Kind, welcoming, great service! Will definitely be back!

I've visited Ernie Lee's twice so far - once for an inspection, and once for an oil change & tire rotation. Both experiences were very good! All of the employees I interacted with were friendly and professional, and the work was completed exactly as requested. Can't ask for more than that! I did not have an appointment scheduled for either visit, so I went in knowing that I may have to wait a while. Although they were busy, they run efficiently, and I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. Thankfully, I haven't needed any major repairs on my current vehicle, but I will absolutely go to Ernie Lee's if/when needed because I trust they will do good work at a fair price.

Stopped in without appointment. Needed oil change and tire rotation. They completed that and fixed under carriage that was rubbing tire I forgot to ask them to check on this and they just did it. No extra charge. Done in less than 40 minutes. Great price with the coupon mailed to me

So this is going to be a long review bc I have to fully explain my rating. I have been going to this place since 2012. If I had done this review 8/10 years ago it would be raving 5 STAR as back then you dealt directly with EL himself more than you do these days. However, over the years I have sent at least 6 people (my own grown kids now) numerous neighbors , my kids have told their friends to go here etc so word of mouth wise I have sent thousands of dollars of business here and spent quite a bit myself. Now with that said, the more high tech it seems to get and the more ppl seem to be there (all the new fancy pcs etc) the more I have found that I get prices that seem a little expensive. There was a time when I wouldn't think twice about checking around for prices on a job but lately things have just felt off. I called 6 places to get a quote for front struts and rear shocks on a 2013 ford fusion to see if I was still being given a good price for the job being done. Pep boys, Knightdale tire, Tyrolf auto, Atlantic tire, and a couple others I can't recall right off. Out of the 6 estimates I received Ernie lees came back with the highest quote for the job even charging more for an alignment. I literally just got the quote for $1,888 . WOW Out of the 6 places I called this (Ernie lees) is the second highest price with the other coming directly from a ford dealership at $1895.98. The range of every other place is $1100-$1450. I can not say anything bad about this place, they have always done good work but as stated as a long time customer I expect to get the best deals at the best price and I know this is not the best price. I am a little saddened by this as it's probably less than 3 miles from my home and again when you have been going somewhere for years you get comfortable but I just can not trust the prices anymore. Do not be worried if you choose to go here, the work is done right, but I will say check around on prices because they seem to be pricing jobs higher these days. I have had all makes and models serviced here (Nissan Altimas, ford ranger, ford fusion, Lincoln Navigator, Nissan Murano, Infiniti qx60 and more. Trust that your vehicle will be in good hands but for sure check around on prices. Sadly I'm starting to see it may be time for me to find an alternate place to service my particular vehicles. 10/15/25 update. I see where you responded to my post however every "quote" I got was site unseen and was just for the job as stated. (obviously if you find other things while doing the job then that is addressed then) (but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to tell me how much a job would cost if there are no issues along the way) Also I was told it is $150.00 (diagnostic) just for me to bring it in to be told what was wrong with it, not once have I ever been told I can get a courtesy inspection on any vehicle I have ever brought in especially in the past 2 years. Either way the price I was quoted was way higher than anywhere else that I got a quote from. I called and asked you how much to replace the front struts, rear shocks and do an alignment on the stated vehicle. I gave you the exact same information as I gave every other place I checked prices with. I was not even charged for my alignment at all when I got the work done but even that from you was quoted at almost 150.00 when most other places quoted me $80 at the most for an alignment. (how is an alignment at your shop double the price of other places?) Prices just seem a little higher and most places will give you a quote via phone. Also every time I have brought it in for oil I have asked the person if they heard a noise while moving it and each time I was told no, even though sitting on the bench I could hear it as it was being driven off.

My car up and created a stout squeaking noise on my way out town one Saturday, and I hadn’t a clue what it was. A helpful gentleman who stopped by referred me to Ernie Lee’s, and so I hauled it there not knowing what to expect since I’d never been there before and never heard of them. They diagnosed it, fixed the issue at what i thought was a reasonable price, and were very respectful and communicative. They also replaced my timing belt for a good price. When I picked it up the mechanic who had done my work took a few minutes to chat, which I thought was commendable. Folks, I was very satisfied with this outfit.

We had a very disappointing experience. We have been coming to this location for oil changes for almost six years. During our recent visit, they performed the oil change but damaged the tire sensor. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, he claimed it was not their fault. The sensor was working perfectly before the service and stopped working immediately afterward. Despite this, the manager wanted to charge me for a replacement and did not offer any discount. I strongly recommend checking your vehicle carefully before leaving to ensure everything is functioning properly.

I haven't had a mechanics shop per se to take my car to in years since our fave mechanic retired. I typically take my car to the Dealership for maintenance. I was at my chiropractor and was talking cars with Bill, whom i'm know for ever and he recommended Ernie's, if it wasn't too far from my house. It wasn't and i'd been putting off brake work for too long cause I didn't feel like dealing with the dealership. They got me in quickly, got the work done well and professionally and i'll be using them again.

I recently moved to the area from South Florida. It’s always challenging to find a reputable and fair auto mechanic, but it was time for my auto inspection and Ernie Lee’s is close by and offer drop offs, so I took a chance. I’m so happy that I did! The lady at the front desk and one of the service managers (Danny) helped me. They were very friendly and professional. In addition to the inspection, I had an oil change, and a recommended front end alignment. I was surprised at how fair the pricing is and grateful for their efficiency. I didn’t feel like they were pushing additional services. I highly recommend Ernie Lee’s. I will only use them going forward! Two thumbs up! Thank you so much for the excellent service!
