These people are awesome at what they do! They went above and beyond to fix the rear main seal in my vw. not only did they fix what I asked them to but they found out what caused it and also replaced that part too and fixed the stripped out bolts holding it on. And they did it for way less than the dealership. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Excellent customer service, honest pricing, trustworthy shop. I had my car towed here last week and the two other shops I called wanted $150-$200 for just the diagnosis. My tow truck driver recommended European Machine so I opted to try them out, assuming it’d be $150 but I was hot, frustrated and figured, “at least they’re recommended.” The shop was slammed and noted that they might not be able to take a look at it until early the following week which was fine with me. Imagine my shock when I received a call before the end of that day - that they figured out it was an issue covered by an extended warranty and while he of course wanted my business, he recommended having it taken to the BMW dealership in Spokane to take advantage of the extended warranty. And he only charged for actual time spent: $45!!!! I have never felt confident with auto service providers since it is so far out of my wheelhouse, but this is a top notch operation. If BMW rejects the warranty repair I will be having my car towed back to European Machine for the repair. They earned a lifetime customer in me!!

I am really glad that I found European Machine. My Audi was making really bad screeching noises, and I thought it might be the brakes, but couldn’t be sure because visually they looked okay. They were booked up, but Jason still spared some time to take a quick look, and right away he found out it was the inner pad (I stupidly forgot that there is an outer and inner pad!). Knowing that I was on a time crunch, he overnighted the parts from Seattle, and the next day him and the crew stayed after closing to make sure it was done. I have not gotten service like that for a while from any shop! Thank y’all from the bottom of my heart! Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for being awesome! :)

My first experience with these folks was AWESOME! They got my car into the shop in 2 business days. They fixed it expertly on the third day and the bill was much less than I expected. The people are very pleasant and professional. I sure know where to go with the next repair.

I drive an Audi and I just wanted to say that Jason is super honest and his prices are the best in town. He always explains everything before his does it and he's also very willing to price match parts etc. I haven't been 100% pleased with dealing with his wife, But overall I will not going anywhere else for my car needs again! This shop is the best in town!!!

Calling around getting prices on parts , availability, and labor. The lady whom I spoke with sounded irritated that I was calling and asking these things. Having someone pleasant answer your phones would drive intake of clientele dramatically further. I have called multiple places and this is the only shop I found that seemed bothered by putting together a quote. No thanks won't be spoke to like a burden and giving me prices so quickly I got most but not all. Thanks anyways!

So I'm at Jason years ago when I had my BMW and his shop was down on Seltice Way and I thought he was great and took care of my car for me. Then he moved to the location on government way in Coeur d'Alene and I'd come to him a few times and spent a lot of money with him and really trusted him and developed a rapport with him over the years. I ended up selling that car and hadn't used him for a few years. I recently bought a car that needs some things done to it so I called to talk to him, and the woman who answered the phone would not let me talk to him. I told her that I knew who he was and how to relationship with him over the years and she would not let me talk to him. I asked her if she could have him call me and she would not she wanted to know what it was that I wanted and was actually pretty rude to me so I'm going to end up going somewhere else because I'm not going to be treated like that on the phone. Here I was wanting to bring my car in to have some work done and this person basically talked to me like I was some piece of trash and that they didn't need my business so I'll go elsewhere. Which is really sad because I liked him and I liked his work and I liked his personality and I don't know who this woman is maybe it's his wife I don't know but you lost a customer and I hope a lot of people read this review. UPDATE this was an absolute blessing in disguise because it allowed me to search around and I found a guy named Mark with Mark's Automotive down off of Seltice Way between Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene and he really took care of my Audi and I felt he was honest and trustworthy and his pricing was great and he is my new guy

Took my car in because it was making a loud clanking sound in the rear, they told me it was the old blown out shocks that was causing this, and offered to fix some other problems unrelated to the issue. I had them fix the shocks because that was the only issue I was concerned about. Paid 1.7k and it turns out they didn't fix the clanking sound and want to charge more (around 3k) for a bunch of other fixes that "might" be the issue. As far as I'm concerned, absolutely nothing was fixed. Scam artists

Took my car in last week because there was a cylinder misfire, the car would shake and then turn off. We brought it in they worked on it and said they had fixed the issue. They replaced the spark plugs and said it was fixed, today it started doing the same thing, shaking and then turning off. They are looking at it today, and I am hopeful it will be fixed.

European machine is run by genuinely GOOD, honest people. Jason has been a Godsend for us this year. Our car was in and out of the local dealer for months, being misdiagnosed, dismissed and gaslit by them (problems due to an emissions modification that the dealer themselves installed). After a $17k estimate at the dealer (which was actually a misdiagnosis), Jason troubleshot the problem and was able to fix our car for a literal fraction of that. I cannot emphasize enough how intelligent and experienced Jason and his team are. If you are looking for INTEGRITY, proficiency and fair prices, look no further. Thank you European Machine!!!

Friendly and knowledgeable. Got an oil change that went smoothly. The reason for the lowered rating was I mentioned one of my rear license plate bulbs was out and perhaps they could look at it. My bad about not getting an exact quote, but I was not expecting a quick license plate bulb with a pop out cover to come with a $65 labor charge. I wish they had asked me sign off on that labor before doing it. The second reason is that they closed an hour earlier, which while I was called an informed that they would put my keys where I could access them, it was not a secure situation and left me feeling like my car was vulnerable when I had made plans to pick up within their official open hours. …. Update: the lovely owners reached out to me and explained there was a miscommunication. They were completely amazing and made amends for the error. I could tell that they really want to do right by the customer, and I would completely trust them with my car again.

European Machine has been great to work with, caring for my MINI Countryman for the past nine years... everything from regular oil changes to new suspension. When some old plastic trim pieces broke while replacing the battery, they promptly replaced the trim pieces at no charge. When they replaced rear control rods and installed new coil-overs, they were willing to work with me on multiple visits until they got the coil-over height and alignment dialed in just right. I feel like I have been treated fairly and honestly. Thank you Jason and Heather.

If you have a European vehicle this place is a must for repairs or service, honestly 5 stars isn't enough. I am not rich by any means, but I have a 745li BMW that needed an ABS module repaired. I brought my vehicle in, they sent the part out for repair and I picked it up in a timely manner. If you want knowledgeable mechanics with down to earth attitude, please give them a try. Ten stars wouldn't be enough. Good people.
