It is not easy to find mechanics I trust, but the team at Fairway have earned trust. They are very transparent in all they do and their technology keeps me up to date at every step. They even send pictures and invite me to call to discuss it with them. Stacey and the team of mechanics are the best at talking me through the process and making sure I know the options. They are not the cheapest…but I don’t really want cheap when someone is working on the second most expensive thing I own.

The work was preformed by the next afternoon as compared to the 3 to 4 days for the dealer and beat the dealer estimate by hundreds. Along with drop off and pick up services. Great service, fairly priced, and dog friendly! Definitely will be my go to car place now! Went to the Kingshighway location and they were equally as good as the other location I have been to. I had an appointment for 10 and they were running behind, but I typically expect that when going to any car place. It was $130 for an oil change and tire rotation. They did want to charge me $90 to replace my back windshield wiper arm (I had already purchased the part) and another $90 to reattach my license plate that was stolen off my car, but I declined those services. They did get the shop Chick-fil-A and had two extra sandwiches, one of which they gave to me which was cool.

A wonderful establishment. Coming from a family of mechanics (I’m the only one that didn’t learn anything #girlpower) the pricing was reasonable, the service was fast and friendly, and according to my father and brother they did a great job. I was there to get my emissions and safety and they did everything to get me legal, especially my giving their required repairs. Its hard to put a price on a shop that does great work and employees that make the shop what it is. I was forced to drop my car off at Fairway auto when one of my alternator bolts broke off into the engine block, stranding my car in St. Louis during a road trip. Jack at Fairway auto, was happy to take the job and made it clear it should be no problem for his shop and gave an expected turnaround of a few weeks before he could get to it despite it only being a couple hour job. While not thrilled with this news, I understood that I’ve got to wait in the back of the line like everyone else. However, after a month of delays, on July 7th, 2023, Jack (tech @ Fairway) told me his team removed the stuck alternator bolt that was broken off in the engine block that I specifically brought the car in to fix (as well as PAID the labor hours for). Unfortunately, none of that work was done and that was a bold face lie; and I was charged for labor not performed. That bolt was found STILL broken in the block AFTER I picked up the car. (See photo ((Taken after “repairs”) I waited several months, and all summer long to get my car back, and paid Fairway nearly $2,000 only to find out that literally all that was done was installing a serpentine belt.....which I needed to provide detailed instructions to his team for despite the belt diagram being clearly labeled under the hood! Worse yet, I only found this information out because my alternator vibrated itself out of its bracket leaving the shops lack of work on full display for me to see the old bolt was in fact still sheared off in the block and a new bolt was simply used to pinch the alternator to the block but not actually thread in to anything ....so naturally the alternator vibrated loose after some driving. I appreciate that sometimes these sorts of things can happen when a company has a bad apple, (or mechanic) in the mix, so I wrote to the company directly sharing all this info with them and was completely ignored. So, while this isn't worth small claims court for me, I don't intend to do nothing after being robbed of almost $2k and 3 months without my car, so what I will do, is encourage anyone that wants honest work done by reputable mechanics, to AVOID FAIRWAY AUTO AT ALL COSTS!

I walked out of my house to go to work, and saw coolant all over the floor of my garage. I was able to get my car to Fairway (it is so nice to have a trusted shop right in your neighborhood!) and they were able to diagnose the issue in less than a couple of hours, easing my anxiety quickly. When I told them we'd take care of the repair ourselves they were not pushy at all and very understanding. I was so glad to be able to get my pressure test done so we knew what parts of my coolant system to replace. So worth the reasonable ~$150.00 diagnosis rather than playing the "try to replace and see what works" game. The best part? I was so hungry from running around dealing with my car trouble all morning, and there were donuts in the waiting room. I stuffed my face, and I felt better. Thank you, Fairway! I am so grateful that you are here for us!
