Good people, very high prices I’ve gone to this shop a few times now. Their go to thing is needing to run a diagnostic check. This usually costs $250. And it doesn’t include fixing your car issue. Just a short report on what they think the issue is. Once I had my headlight bulb go out, they wanted to run a diagnostic and charge me $250 instead of changing the $10 bulb. It’s worth doing some basic research on the part cost and labor cost to estimate the cost of your specific issue. I took my car to my regular mechanic for the same issue and I saved more than $1000!! My regular mechanic charged me a similar amount to what I frequently found on car mechanic forums, which was much less than Felix’s quote. If they are telling you that a $250 diagnostic check is needed, I would reconsider your options. Granted I don’t know what they are doing for their diagnostic check, but connecting the OBD2 car reader to the car and reading the error codes should not count as a $250 diagnostic. OBD2 car readers cost $25, 1/10 the price of their test. At the very least their diagnostic check should include a thorough checklist of what they’ll be reviewing, so that there is transparency with the customer.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Service advisor provided excellent service from the moment I called to schedule an appointment . Although no appointments were available upon requested, he followed up with me when a time became available. Upon arrival, he greeted me by my name. They provided shuttle service. Throughout the day, I received a detailed report of the inspection performed. It’s the their time I visit Felix Auto Service and they always deliver.

This was the second time to bring my vehicles here. The shop is on Evelyn close to the MTV Transit Center. This time it was to fix a scraping brake sound and fluid leak from my wife's 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Peter called me after drop off to inform me that after their brake inspection and cleaning they couldn't find anything and the sound was gone, so he said they weren't going to do anything more. They did find a leaky plastic transmission pan assembly and they did a replacement. They also replaced the air filters which was recommended since the Jeep had 54K miles and an oil change. They did have to keep the Jeep overnight and Peter called me at about 4 PM the next day to let me know it was ready. I got a pick up from Justin, paid a fair price and drove my repaired Jeep home; a happy customer. Expert, professional service and a great value from a neighborhood shop. They offer a shuttle service for drop off and pick up. Peter and Justin are great guys. If your vehicle is out of warranty, bring it here for fixing, I have and will in the future, highly recommended.

What we appreciate about Felix's, and why we always come back, is that they keep the big picture in mind when diagnosing and advising us on repairs. This is super important for decision-making, particularly in our case with an aging car. At the same time, they also know EVERYTHING about the granular details, and they do their best to patiently explain it all to us. They're geniuses when it comes to the actual repair. Recently they noticed on a routine checkup that our radiator was failing, and they needed to replace it. Because our car is both old and atypical, the exact replacement part could not be sourced (and if anyone could source it, Felix could). Plan B was to modify the closest equivalent part to make it work. I wish that I knew enough about cars to adequately paraphrase what Peter told me they did, but it sounded like a really creative but also bulletproof solution. A separate problem we experienced is trouble shifting, and I was really impressed with Felix's systematic approach to accurately diagnosing the issue. They didn't just assume it was the clutch, they first ruled out other things like transmission issues. Clearly it would be best if every auto shop took the time to do this, but in our experience it's rare to find mechanics who are as thorough, and it's really critical to have all this data on the car's overall soundness when deciding how much to invest in repairs to keep an older vehicle on the road. This is why we are loyal customers and would strongly recommend anyone bring their car to Felix's.

They are overpriced. The main reason I visited them was their discount for costco members. However, when I mentioned that I am a costco member they have added an extra charge to my bill (the diagnostic fee that they said they would waive if I go with their repair) and then gave me the costco discount. Basically I paid the full price which was definitely higher than what the brand dealership would charge. Would not recommend them and would not go back to them.

This is my go-to mechanic shop. They do a fantastic job, after each service they give you a very detailed printout of the state of all the things they checked for which is very informative. I've known them for 9 years! They are not pushy, at various times they have advised me not to take immediate action on some non-urgent things. I mean advice like: your so-so-fluid is not in mint condition, but it can last you for x-months, so better change it then and don't spend on it now; other places jump on it immediately to make you pay more. They are on the Costco auto program, which is how I found them. Costco doesn't let just anybody join, it takes effort and delivering good quality job. Special shout-out to Justin and Peter! They rule.

I’ve gone to Felix’s on and off over the years. With my newly purchased Tacoma it is now the only place I will go as they do a thorough job and most of all explain in detail what they find and how important or not it is to fix and when. The dealerships are always trying to upsell me and usually cost more overall. I like the personal service that Felix’s provides.

I've been going to Felix's Auto Shop for over 20 years. Peter, who owns the shop, is amazing, The service is excellent, and his knowledge about all sorts of cars is incredible. Most of all, Peter is a trusted advisor regarding my car. I have recommended Felix's Auto Shop to at least 5 different friends and family over the years. Brought the car in for service which prior visits had highlighted along with the Toyota suggested maintenance. They're careful to call out what must be fixed, what can be fixed later, and what's not worth fixing at all. Very reasonable prices, and all prices are discussed before committing to the work. Finally, they're very easy to contact, and they're quick to call back if busy.

Bought a car based on their inspection report given by the seller. Even called them about it and they quoted me about 1200. But when I got there to do the repairs they were like it needs further inspection(charged me for it again)and then quoted me 3-4K. Went to another garrage told me the same repairs and got it done for 1800. I am not so sure how honest they are.

My co-worker raves about Felix's Auto Service and recommended them to me, so I decided to try them out. I had been going to the Honda dealership for years and knew I was paying more than I needed to. I needed a new battery and brakes and Justin explained everything to me in great detail. I let him know that I needed the car back as soon as possible, since I only have one car and they were able to get everything done by mid-afternoon. Peter was very friendly when I went to pick the car up and I am paying less than I did at the dealership. I'll definitely be going there for all of my auto needs in the future. It's also helpful that I can walk there from my house!
