Raymond is THE MAN!! I have always had a good experience here. Recently, my 2015 C300 broke down in the middle of the road and I had it towed here. From the time I dropped my car here, Raymond has been super helpful. He explained to me (in layman language) every single thing that was going on with my car. He also explained different options and the price associated with those. Since the internal damage was substantial, I decided to sell my car. He agreed to keep my car for the next 2-3 days until I am able to sell my car and someone else picks it up. All in all, my experience has been amazing. Thanks!

I’ve been taking my ‘98 e class Mercedes to them for the past 5+ years. With 275,000 miles on the odometer, I had to have the transmission rebuilt. It wasn’t cheap but it’s the first time I ever had any work on the transmission. i’m pleased with the work. Super smooth transmission now. The shop is great for keeping the car running reliably while keeping maintenance to a minimum.

I have been bringing my Mercedes S550 to Smog It Mercedes for several years. They are a wonderful blend of personal service at a very cost-effective basis. Came in for DMV - Smog Check Test. Made an appointment and was in and out within ~30 minutes. Ivy and Joe are super kind and sweet. I also noticed the staff are professional and kind to their customers during my wait. Overall it was very easy to make an appointment and have my needs taken care of. I highly recommend this shop and their service! Current pricing for Smog Check + the certification is $58 as of Jan 2023. If you are here for a Smog Check make sure it's been some time since your last car inspection. Newly calibrated cars from inspections might have inconclusive test results. Please be warned you will still need to pay a courtesy fee for their service even if the test results are inconclusive.

I have been going here for my cars' SMOG tests for many years. Service is always fast, professional, and reasonably priced. The distance to downtown Mountain View is just right so that you can walk to downtown to get a coffee, and by the time you walk back your car is done with the test.

I found Smog It when I needed service for my Mercedes but when I bought a new car, I was delighted to find out they work on all types of cars. Always honest. They've looked at my car and even told me nothing needed to be fixed right away - and the visit was free. Always available. Never had to wait to schedule service. Always fast. I work in Palo Alto but live in SF. They always get my car fixed same day. When I find a good mechanic, I stick with them for life. Can't say enough good things about Smog It!

I had a great experience at this smog check station. Professional, polite and straightforward people. Super fast service, it took only 20 minutes to have my car ready. You can wait in the office or stretch your legs and walk around a bit. The price is very reasonable, you will have a hard time finding a flat fee of $58 dollars anywhere in the Bay Area. I visited three other smog test shops before stopping here, and they ask me for $135, $100 and $85, plus I have to wait 30-45 min, plus long faces and rude behavior. No thank you, I won’t wait at all, and good luck with that attitude. I totally recommend this place if you appreciate a good service and a positive attitude, which always goes a long way in providing excellent customer service.

We brought in our 20 year old Lexus on a weekend and they looked at it on Monday. I appreciated Raymond’s clear and thorough explanation of what the team had checked, what repairs needed to be done now, and what could wait. I also appreciated not being rushed into making all the repairs immediately. All the repairs were explained very clearly in an objective manner. They’re also very responsive by email, Joe responded to me about a key replacement question and it turned out to be a great solution.

Early last year, I had the pleasure of working with Joe, the owner of Smog it Mercedes Service, and I couldn't be more impressed with him. Joe's attention to customer needs is exceptional, he provides you with a transparent breakdown of what your car needs...he treats you as if you were his family. Just today, I dropped off my son's recently acquired vehicle (Prius/Toyota) for an overall inspection and check-up, Joe and his team were quick to act. The car just needed basic maintenance, reset dash lights and an oil change and was ready for pickup within a couple of hours. Their efficiency and dedication to quality service is admirable. Joe's honesty and trustworthiness make him one of the most reliable mechanics I've ever encountered.
