it’s my 6th year using BMW Mountain View and I really see the worsening of the service at this location. The morning dropoff for service is a nightmare as the organization is poor, the response from the service agent is slow, and then the communication from service rep is almost none existent except for showing a video of the tire wearout while the mileage on the car is only 18000 miles. The rep forgot to notify me of the pickup. I had to call the next day to find out. Then it is a 20 mins wait for the car to show up. It was not the case at all 6 years ago.

I am very disappointed! I purchased an SUV from this institution based on a clean inspection report. In the report it clearly stated sensors are tested and working, middle console is in good condition, and the break pads are at 6mm satisfactory! As I took the vehicle, the driver side sensors were not working. At first they did not want to repair, then they decided to repair. Then, the middle console turned out to be defective! After back and forth they agreed to replace it, or seemed to agree to replace it. They dragged me for over 6 weeks claiming the part is not available at Mercedes and shared long winded stories. Later as I took the vehicle for inspection at a third party, I discovered the break pads were metal to metal. I had to replace them. While replacing the break pads, I asked Mercedes of Stevens Creek if they had the middle console. It turned out the middle console is a standard stock item and Kevin from the service department was dragging me and lying to me about the part being on back order. When I confronted him, he got the part and replaced it. I took the replaced break pads and showed to the service dept of BMW of Mountain View, they refused to acknowledge they screwed up and the inspection report is totally a fake report. They asked me to talk with the inspection department and started giving the run around. I messaged the sales manager Radu, he did not acknowledge my text… In conclusion, do not trust them. Do not be mislead by the image and brand name. Their sales and service is truly fake and mediocre!

BMW X3 xDrive30e was brought in for maintenance computer directed oil change and brake fluid change. Service was handled promptly and professionally. Video walk around inspection was very informative. Inspection also showed my rear tires needed replacing. Branden quote a very competitive price that included road hazard warranty. Branden arranged a late model X1 for a loaner. Great to check out the new iDrive software. Great service experience from Branden and the BMW of Mountain View service team. Will definitely continue bringing my X3 to them for service and repairs.

Frustrating Experience – Poor Communication and Broken Promises: I got my car from this dealership. I felt loyal to return to them despite Stevens Creek BMW is close to home. After damaging my passenger-side mirror glass unit, I left a message for the service advisor. No one called back. Three weeks later, I showed up in person. The service advisor quoted me $2,500 or so, which I agreed to. No loaner was available, and unlike other brands such as Tesla, this dealership doesn't offer Uber credits or reimbursement. My options were to wait two weeks or drop the car off and arrange my own transportation—so my wife gave me a ride. The next day, the service advisor called to say he'd made a mistake: the quote didn't include a necessary paint job for the mirror housing, and the repair would take an extra day. He offered to include the paint work at no additional charge since he'd already quoted higher than it should have been and hadn't factored in the extra time. Since I had to pay for my own Uber rides to and from work for three days, I asked for a discount. He agreed to $50. That's it. When I picked up the car, I paid the invoice without reviewing the breakdown. While waiting for my car to be pulled up, I looked more closely and noticed a charge labeled something like "outside service"—I had been charged for the paint job after all. I explained the situation to the receptionist, who was genuinely helpful and went to speak with the manager. The manager never came out to see me or invite me in. I was told he would check with the service advisor and get back to me. The receptionist also said she couldn't reverse the charge since payment had already been processed. That was two weeks ago. I still haven't heard from anyone. I was given an inflated quote, received no loaner or transportation assistance, was charged for work I was told would be free, and now no one will provide an explanation or a refund. The service advisor made a verbal promise he hasn't honored. I feel completely disregarded as a customer. UPDATE 2/6/2026: After response (below), I received call from service advisor, who left VM to call him back. I called back the next day and left message. I also called asked for GM, was told he is busy, was transferred to "a manager"., I left VM describing reason. No call back. I later, on same day, called again, and after I described purpose of call to same receptionist, was now transferred to "a service manager". Left message. so, 3 calls on the same day, within 24 hours of service advisor's call. A week later, nobody has called me back I am going to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. I am NEVER going back to this dealership. I should have bought from Stevens Creek BMW near my home. All somone had to was at least acknoweldge my concern, explain logically and either agree to refund or take a clear stand. SILENCE AND IGNORING A GENUINE CONCERNS IS CRIMINAL. BAD DEALERSHIP.

Had my tire punched by a metal piece and got it replaced quickly. Wayne was nice helping me out quickly. Overall experience was positive, though they didn't wash the car proactively. I will deduct one star due to the payment. You got dinged for 2 or 2.5% if you pay by credit cards, which sucks.

Outstanding Service and Customer Care! I had an excellent experience at BMW of Mountain View! My service advisor was knowledgeable, flexible, and really took the time to explain everything clearly. He quickly scheduled my tire replacement and kept me updated throughout the process. While my car was being serviced, I worked from the waiting area — it was quiet, spotless, and comfortable, with plenty of coffee, tea, and even cupcakes. They also offered lunch around noon, which was a really nice touch! Unfortunately, my new tire went flat the next day, but the team handled it perfectly. My advisor arranged rides to and from work and made sure everything was taken care of smoothly. Overall, the level of care, communication, and customer service was top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for future service — highly recommend this team! 🚗👏

I had excellent communications with Kevin regarding potential repairs for my car, he was absolutely positively giving me very detailed and clear explanations and best advice. Update: The dealership responded requesting that I contact AutoNation Customer Relations. I have provided the requested information and am awaiting their review and response. I will update this review once a resolution or outcome is provided. I don’t think I’ve ever had a genuinely good experience at the BMW Mountain View Service Department. About two years ago, I came in for a tire replacement, and the service was careless. I had specifically asked for the replaced tire to be returned to me, but it was shoved into my trunk and ended up tearing the mesh window shades that were stored there. When I requested a windshield washer fluid top-up, the service advisor poured the fluid without using a funnel, spilling it throughout the engine bay and down the bumper. When I pointed this out, he dismissed the concern and said it was not an issue, which was hard to believe. To the department’s credit, another service advisor stepped in, questioned the handling, cleaned up the mess, and apologized. During my most recent visit, I was repeatedly upsold on services at extremely high prices. These included over $240 for an engine air filter, over $280 for a microfilter, and a $350 fuel system service before tax, with no clear explanation of what that service actually involved. Each time I have dealt with the service department, the cashiers have been rude and impatient when I ask reasonable questions about their invoices. When I attempted to use a service coupon I received in the mail, the cashier gave a vague and confusing explanation for why it could not be applied. My service advisor then stepped in and framed it as though he were doing me a favor by offering a “discount,” which appeared to simply be a normal rate compared to their inflated standard pricing. Once your warranty expires, I recommend finding an independent shop that treats both you and your car with more care and transparency.
