I seriously failed a Smog check here that I knew I should have passed and they wanted to replace the catalytic converter for $600+... I then brought the car to the place on Soquel and 17th, which doesn't stand to benefit from failing people since they aren't a repair shop, just a smog checking business. I passed with flying colors there. What gives?

I had a brake job done after one of the brakes made noise in curves and the brakes started "scrubbing." Afterwards the noise was still there and the brakes wobbled while braking. When I returned the car I was charged some diagnostic fee for checking into my complaints. The check-up turned up nothing, the fee was not returned and the problems persisted. I then brought the car to another shop: they fixed the wobble (the calipers needed better grinding) and also the noise (emergency brake).

Went here to get my truck smoged it took about 4 times for it to pass. So ya it was a huge pain but they didn't charge extra. Not the nicest people ever but not a bad place to go.

Do not do business here unless for a smog check or oil change. They did work to solve a smog problem and it passed even though the car still emmitted the same fumes. Then, more problems. Out lots of money and car not running as well as it did before we brought it in.

I went here for two years to get various service done. It was mostly fine, although it struck me as a bit overpriced. Then I took my car in for a routine smog check. When they returned it to me, the hood latch was broken. When I pointed out that one of their mechanics had obviously broken it, the receptionist not only refused to help me fix it, but was *extremely* rude and dismissive on the phone. He told me that, somehow, it was my fault, and then hung up on me. So not only did they break a part of my car that was quite difficult to replace, they were very unpleasant and defensive after they did it. That is not the type of service I would expect after coming here for two years. Stay away from this place at all costs. If anything at all goes wrong (which is often the case when fixing a car), they will take no responsibility whatsoever.

honestly, i picked fidelity out of laziness due to its location being walking distance from my house and will definitely be taking my car back for all future services. i was able to bring my car in without an appointment which was great because i needed to smog my car for registration (which i put off for last minute 😅) and tend to some other servicing notifications. despite not having an appointment my car was ready within a a couple of hours. very thankful for fidelity

This auto shop is amazing. The car I got smogged needed an enhanced test. Not only did they do the test right then and there, it only took 10 to 15 minutes. They also gave me a $10 discount, for no reason. :) The man that took care of me also had a great sense of humor and was a real sweetheart. Would highly recommend.

I have 2 older Hondas. My 1991 Honda civic is 100% stock, and very well taken care of. The engine is a dream to touch compared to the grease traps I’ve seen people driving. I took my car in, and the guys told me they couldn’t smog it because there was a hose that was “disconnected”. They didn’t even attempt to reattach the hose, or offer any assistance in the matter. I offered to pay, or do it myself, and they completely shut me out. I plugged the hose back in and drove away pissed. A simple swipe of my hand and it was fixed, I didn’t even break a sweat. Fast forward 6 months, I brought in my 1998 accord. Same condition as my other Honda. Both very well maintained and honestly fun to work on. They told me they couldn’t smog my accord because I didn’t have a receipt for a catalytic replacement from 2010. I’m 22 years old, so I would’ve been 8 when they replaced the catalytic. They offered no help, and told me they wouldn’t look at the paperwork I brought with me because “they needed to order some parts for another customer” Rude, unprofessional, and not willing to help. Don’t even waste your time. Instead, head over to soquel smog right off of 41st and soquel. The people are kind, respectful, and helped me track down the information I needed to complete my smog. If I could give 0 stars, fidelity would get negative 12.
