I’ve been going to Firestone in Danbury for many years, and the service has always been excellent. The staff is consistently polite and professional, whether I’m calling or stopping in. Really nice guys here! They did the diagnosis on my car and let me come back the next day to figure out what exactly the issue is. Steven was really chill and was super helpful, really nice guy! However, I fixed the issue that they diagnosed for my check engine light. They told me I needed to change my valve cover gasket and my o2 sensors which I did with another shop as they quoted for around 1900 to fix all my issues. Once I fixed the issues, my check engine light came back on. So their diagnosis was not correct. They’re nice guys but they weren’t able to find the root of the issue. They also did upsell me on a tire replacement as well. They told me that my car wasn’t safe to drive with the tire so spent around 100-125$ to change 1 tire. I don’t know if it was necessary now because they couldn’t fix the check engine light issue but it is what it is. Shop for mechanic shops with caution.

I took my car in for an oil change and 100,000 mile service. The next morning I had a big oil puddle under my car. This car has never leaked oil before. It also runs pretty rough. It had not done that before either. I took it to the dealer and it was $1,900 to have it fixed. The dealer told me the transmission fluid level was severely low causing the rough run. The fluid in the coolant lines was unidentifiable and definitely incorrect and the oil filter was leaking. Don't take you vehicle to this location.

I had a great experience at the Firestone in Danbury. I showed up with no appointment and they still got me in and out very quickly. Everything was handled efficiently and professionally, and I never felt rushed. What impressed me most was that they test drove my vehicle after the alignment to confirm it was actually correct, not just “within spec.” The car tracks straight, the steering wheel is centered, and it drives exactly as it should. Solid work done right the first time. I would definitely come back and would recommend this location to anyone who actually pays attention to how their car drives.
