The guys who work there are great. I mainly met with Tony and he was awesome. But I would not recommend for one reason. The CV axel kit I need is at max, $250 and I was charged over $600 for them. I called and told them that I found the oem replacement parts for $197 and they will not install parts that they do not purchase. When I asked why they are charging me so much for the axel kit I was told because it comes with an implied warranty that Firestone adds on. Can’t remove it, and it’s just an implied warranty. For over a 100% markup? Yeah Firestone corporate is ruining their own brand here in my eyes. The employees there were fantastic but the policies there will make me never return.

We are from Colorado and 2 of our brand new tires were leaking to dangerously low levels. It was a Sunday and this Firestone shop was very busy. The staff was able to get us in to repair leaky valves which allowed us to continue our trip. We were very grateful after having to stop every 30-60 minutes to air up the tires, it was stressful. The staff was working very hard and we appreciated the friendliness and help.

Brought my vehicle in for a brake issue under warranty as I just had the rotors and pads replaced just 4 months ago. After getting there I was advised against replacing the brakes and rotors and was told it was tires. So after spending money on tires based off their recommendation, of course the issue wasn’t resolved. I called the store back and was placed on hold and eventually disconnected. So when I called again, they said they didn’t see any issues with brakes and I could wait another half a day for them to reinspect what I already told them the issue was. I don’t know if it’s because it would be a warranty thing and the shop wouldn’t make as much money but stay away from this location.

They let me know that, since I bought it from them, it was covered and patched it for free. My son took his car in at 2 pm on Tuesday 12/23. He arrived a little bit before his appointment, he gave them the keys and all they told him was, we will call you when it's ready. When I made the appointment, I was advised that it shouldn't take more than an hour. I call the store at 3:30 because they had not called me, a worker named Lorenzo picked up the phone. I asked him if he can give me an update on my son's car, he responded I don't have any updates for you at the moment. I asked him, have you guys even looked at it yet? He responded no. I mentioned to him, why couldn't you guys tell my son were really behind so we could've maybe taken the car back another day. He rudely responded, we had three cars in front of his so we had to get to them first. I asked him again, why couldn't you guys let my son know you guys were running behind. He stayed quiet, I mentioned to him you don't have a good response correct. He again responded very rude NOPE!! at that time I requested to speak to a manager, from there I was talking to Even who was nothing but professional. In my opinion Lorenzo has a very bad attitude and does not have good costumer service whatsoever.

I used to use the Firestone at Southern and Unser and dealt with Ray on numerous occasions. Upon his departure from this store I stopped taking my vehicle there for repair or services. I had a flat tire about a month ago and pulled into the Bernalillo Firestone to have it fixed. The service advisor that helped me was Ray. Today I went in to have my brakes looked at because I was told by Toyota dealership I needed all brakes and rotors replaced at a cost of 1500 dollars. I replaced the front brakes myself and was not sure if I had done this correctly. Ray recommended a brake inspection. Upon the inspection be completed he made me comfortable that my brakes were good and working order. If you want great honest customer service and a highly competent service advisor. I highly recommend Ray at the Bernalillo Firestone store.

I made an appointment for a wheel alignment and I was in and out in 45 minutes. I opted for the lifetime alignment that cost $229.00 plus tax with an online coupon. Although the service is non transferable, it includes unlimited wheel alignments for as long as you own your vehicle. Not a bad deal since the cost of a single wheel alignment is just over $100.00.

Our first experience at this location was a year to two years ago, when our truck needed new tires. Everything seemed fine at first until the next day, when we heard a hissing sound and discovered there was a leak from the valve stem, which resulted in the tire deflating pretty quickly. We took it back in and it turned out that they had cut the valve stem when they replaced the tires. Imagine our disappointment, and concern for safety, as we had driven our truck into and from ABQ. Fast-forward to MLK Day 2026, when we brought in the same truck for a balance and rotation, plus an alignment. We had come in the day before to get scheduled, and the guy working the counter that day was great! We dropped off our truck right before our scheduled time and went home to wait. They called two hours later to say our truck needed an oil change and a battery replacement, and suggested a coolant flush. We gave them the go-ahead to do the oil change and battery replacement, but declined the coolant flush as that was done elsewhere within the last six months (not sure why they thought it needed one). After not getting a call by a little after 1700, we called them to check on the status. We were told they were waiting on the oil and that by the time we get there, it would be ready. We decided to give them more time: we took our time leaving and even picked up some dinner nearby. When we did arrive, we discovered our truck was still on the lift, and still being serviced. That was irritating enough, but after paying and finally being able to get our truck, we discovered the rotation wasn't done correctly (the tires obviously needed a proper rotation and two were still in the same spot), so we had to tell the guy at the counter. He came out and looked, verified the necessity for the full rotation, and told us to come back today, 24 Jan 2026. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the issues with this location. Upon showing up shortly after 0700, the older guy at the counter severely lacked customer service and knowledge. When he was told the tires needed air, he asked what did we want the pressure to be... which was weird, since all vehicles have on the door what pressure the tires need to be. You don't have to be a mechanic to know that, lol. He asked if we were going to drop off or wait, and when we said wait, he got an attitude, then said they only had one tech so they would try to get us in and out. He was observed treating a couple that came in with friendliness and even joked around with them, so he clearly chooses to have an attitude. He also didn't seem to know about the need for a proper rotation for this particular vehicle as he said something about it that is actually incorrect. After about an hour, they were finished; there was no payment due since they were correcting their error, but upon going out to our truck, we discovered a missing valve cap and had to go back inside to address that. After some back and forth between the older guy and the tech, the older guy came back in and said they claimed there was no valve cap on there to begin with... what? We had just checked the pressure two days after the original visit, and all caps were put back on when we were done... so there seems to be a lack of accountability for their own error. He did give us one (it's too short), so I guess he tried to correct the error? We were hesitant to even return to this location after what occurred with the valve stem issue, and now we definitely cannot recommend this location and will not be trusting them with either of our vehicles in the future. The amount of 5-star reviews certainly doesn't line up with our experiences here and leads us to wonder if they're even factual after everything that went wrong with our simple vehicle maintenance - edited to add that it looks even more suspicious now that there has been a flood of 5 star reviews since I posted mine.

Horrible experience with this Firestone. I spent upwards of $500 towing my car to and from them for a situation which was resolved by myself personally for about an hour and a half after I got over the annoyance of continuing to work on the vehicle. They wouldn't even take a look at the vehicle more than a diagnostic and stated that the fuel lines were bent and numerous issues that were completely incorrect and absolutely preposterous. The money I spent taking my vehicle to them was absolutely a wash and it's clear they don't understand what they're doing or have techs that don't know what they're doing. I had my vehicle towed home and had the part replaced faster than dealing with this shop. I'd avoid them at all costs and just go to the brakemasters less than a quarter mile down the road.

Great customer service. I stopped in shortly before they closed after realizing I had a headlight out. They had the right bulb in stock and quickly got my car in the bay. The connector was actually the problem, and they didn't have that in stock. Rather than have me wait until noon the next day, I was told the diagnosis, what part I needed, and given a recommendation for how to get back on the road in a timely way.
